Just Shagging - Thread 11 for Graduated Viroids!

JuniDD · 17/08/2014 06:27

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 11th grads thread...celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed Grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 27th outing.

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal here once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a secret facebook group, if you want to join, ask in-thread.

So, roll call below please, viroids! Smile

pis u nodding off made me chuckle

zyla fx for the eye situation to sort it's after you give birth x

Leela5 · 09/09/2014 17:30

Sorry for typos. Fat fingers v tiny letters

splodge77 · 09/09/2014 17:57

Ha ha La, u walking down street groping yourself reminds me of when I was breast feeding - had v leaky boobs so was constantly feeling myself up in public to check I wasn't soggy-shirted. Oh the glamour of it all. Feel for you with your night time vomming mini, I was up at 5 am this morn trying to stave it off by eating bananas in bed. Ugh, it sucks. sorry for the moaning but I work from home so no one else to whinge at except you lot!!

Leela5 · 09/09/2014 18:44

Viroids I'm a bit worried, I've had very distinctive cramping since my bfp but today - nothing. I'm terrified that this means baby is no longer there. Has this happened to anyone else? Does it just means it's settled down a bit? Ic shows a line but I'm bit worried Hmm

ZylaB · 09/09/2014 18:48

The cramping isn't all the time la it's just stretching etc, and comes and goes. Don't panic :)

Leela5 · 09/09/2014 18:51

Phew thanks x

ZylaB · 09/09/2014 18:56

I had a meltdown when my boobs/nipples didn't hurt as much :)

wilmabedrock · 09/09/2014 19:00

In my limited experience of mc Lala, they hurt a lot more than normal pg cramps so I would associate no cramps with being a good thing. Also, I think you're fine to tell. You probably won't be able to explain the lack of drinking any other way and it won't affect the outcome of your pg.

So today I was wearing my bra, a vest top and a long sleeved t-shirt and you could still see my nipples sticking out like fucking missiles. Am I going to have to go around in a woolly jumper to avoid looking like a porn star?!

Doesn't sound like the news is as bad as it could have been zyla so fx. It sounds so hard for you going through all this shit.

Nessalina · 09/09/2014 19:29

Ha! Love the self-groping La. I did a lot of boob prodding in the early days! Don't worry too much about the cramps, it's probably just your bean settling in Smile

Glad it's not bad news about your eyes Zyla - hopefully they'll just get back to normal post-sprog!

KatoPotato · 09/09/2014 19:53

La I'm a groper too! But once I'm home and the bra is off my nipples are like comedy plastic Blackpool giftshop tits!!

And boy do they HURT!

laurenamium · 09/09/2014 22:03

La don't worry about lack of symptoms! Mine seem to die off and I start panicking. Then my super human dog nose will come back and ill be stupid tired and have sore boobs all at once again. It's different every time I wake up!

Leela5 · 10/09/2014 06:46

Sorry wil that was bit insensitive of me - I apologise.

I shouldn't have worried - started walking and cramps started instantly. This not drinking thing is no fun on holibobs. Mr La has had lovely wine and cocktails every night and I've had some lovely virgin cocktails but I did have to sniff his wine a few times Grin

Love the pointy nips!
What other weird symptoms have you all had? Before I got bfp I had a completely blocked nose every eve. Thought it was cold but nothing came out if I blew

Minion · 10/09/2014 08:39

Spots
Hair that just won't clean, I used to be able to go 3 days without washing. Now it's greasy as soon as it's dry.
No appetite. At all. No cravings (gutted, I wanted a really odd craving).
Sore boobs disappeared in second tri (if it wasn't for the bump and baby doing river dance on my bladder I'd swear it was a phantom preg).
The ability to eat nothing and still feel full but oh so hungry.
Sneezing. Every day.
And weirdly before pg I'd hiccup in groups of 3, I'd get a hiccup fit, then another, then another, really violent, painful ones, now I'm upduffed..nada. Only one single hiccup in the morning.

Well viroids, I have finally entered the third tri! I cannot believe how quick it's going. Was talking to my mom and I innocently asked her how her preg was (you know the saying, you have the same as your mother), 'ooh it was a doddle min, just a bit of heartburn and sore tits'... Great, I thought. Fantastic! Well then she just surprised me with this little gem 'but labour., oh my god. Nearly 3 days of labour with all of you'...
I'm the third born, shouldn't I have just fallen out whilst she was in Asda, by that point?

Then I googled (I know, I know) and a lot of women who had pretty a pretty easy 9 months had horrendously long labours..Eeek!
Well that's my smug face wiped royally off!
Ha!

Pisghetti · 10/09/2014 09:18

I don't think there's a direct correlation Min so there's no use worrying yourself! I had a pretty easy pregnancy with DS and a very straightforward birth. Yes I know I'm a knob and not making friends with stories like this......

minimooo · 10/09/2014 09:25

Morning viroids!

Have a great time with your bro and sil today la! Hope you're feeling less nervous. It's a great opportunity to tell them face to face.

Oh min! That's not helpful to hear Shock If it's any consolation neither of my pregnancies have been anything like my mum's - and both of my sister's (full term) pregnancies and births were world's apart from my mum's. So I don't think it always holds true that women experience pregnancy and childbirth similar to their mums.

Have just booked a gp appointment for this afternoon to see if I can take anything for the sickness. Really didn't want to have to resort to meds but I've got two freelance jobs to complete and a uni deadline looming at the moment. I really need to be able to concentrate.

splodge I work from home too. Mn has been a bit of a lifesaver! Hope you're feeling better?

laurenamium · 10/09/2014 09:35

Grin At falling out in Asda min! I had an easy pg with DD and a 4 hour labour if that's any reassurance?

RPopz · 10/09/2014 09:45

Morning ladies I'm back!! You're all so bloody chatty when I'm away Shock Had a quick flick through but won't bother trying to reply. Except to say hope everyone is well. And La - I didn't have any consistent symptoms til 6-7 weeks, apart from boob pain and occasional cramping. And to LOL at you early birds and your panicky tit groping because I SO did that "just to check" haha Grin I'm actually a bit nostalgic for those first trimester days suddenly... how bloody weird and silly is that!?

Hope you're having a great holiday La and telling the fam goes well. I didn't miss holiday boozage as much as I thought I would tbh!

Right off to unpack and do the washing... Angry And then doggy reunions!! Grin

Minion · 10/09/2014 09:45

Yes girls, more stories like that please! Anywho if it goes the mothers way I guess a bag full of haribo, cheese and steak bakes will just find their way to the delivery room with me.
Gotta keep the old strength up eh!

RPopz · 10/09/2014 09:49

Ooh forgot to say, 20 week scan take two this afternoon!! Grin

FurryScoob · 10/09/2014 10:35

Good luck with the scan rpopz hope the little wriggler behaves

I love these easy birth stories, my mum had a shit time too minion but I stick my fingers in my ears whenever she gives me details!

Off to kiddicare for a big shop today, no idea what we still need but guessing it'll be like ikea where you come out with loads of stuff you never knew you needed Grin

Leela5 · 10/09/2014 10:54

min I'm not sure the correlation with your mums pg is strictly true - I think hyperemesis and m sickness are genetic but not sure about labour.

popz did you have a fun holiday? I'm sitting in sun by pool in Barcelona about to leave to go to a villa to meet my bro. Have bloating so it's pretty obvious I'm pg (or have major food baby!)

Good luck with the scan!

mini it doesn't sound like you're having much fun poor thing hope they can give you something to help x

Pisghetti · 10/09/2014 11:07

Good luck with the scan Popz and welcome back!

Yay Lauren is a bigger knob than me Wink A 4 hour labour would have been nice. I got bored.

laurenamium · 10/09/2014 12:14

Good luck today rpopz Grin

Getting bored in labour? Shock I just remember being annoyed that the midwifes were having a takeaway and it smelt and they left me on my own for an extended amount of time while they ate it. I was properly on my own too. In established labour after they sent my DM home "because it won't happen for hours" Hmm this time around I'm going to make sure I'm bossy and don't hold any prisoners Grin

Pisghetti · 10/09/2014 12:36

DS' dad was with me but fast asleep and no one came to check on us for ages, I couldn't move because of those bloody monitoring belts which also started sounding alarms if I went to sleep because they'd slip so I sat bored for hours! I had brought a stack of reading material with me but it was out of reach and I was too nice to wake up sleeping partner to pass it over. This time I'm going to be a right bitch (only to DP).

Did DM make it back in time?

ZylaB · 10/09/2014 12:50

Hope the scan goes well rpopz

Talking of scans, does it matter if you have your 20 week scan late? Will it affect anything? We've booked mine in for when I'll be 21+5 as we're away the week before.
