Just Shagging - Thread 11 for Graduated Viroids!

JuniDD · 17/08/2014 06:27

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 11th grads thread...celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed Grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 27th outing.

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal here once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a secret facebook group, if you want to join, ask in-thread.

So, roll call below please, viroids! Smile

Why am I having such bad sleeps? I want to cry!

Nessalina · 09/09/2014 06:38

I'm with you Wil Confused Sooo hot in bed and now I've been awake an hour and I can't get back to sleeeep!

wilmabedrock · 09/09/2014 07:01

So annoying isn't it? I have to leave for work in fifteen minutes. Feel like a zombie!

Leela5 · 09/09/2014 08:15

Morning viroids!

kato I think if it's same exercise you've always done it's ok but I'm echoing the others that weights sound a bit much.

I was meant to start exercise classes last week then found out I'm upduffed so doc said not to start til later now. I feel porky since I gave up horse as I'm not as active Hmm

My mate had hyperemesis and it was terrible she puked blood and couldn't work for the whole 9 months.

How did nct go ness?

juni AIBU is brutal! I read them just for interest and people are so judgemental. I love the js freds and how these threads are a conversation so you get to know everyone.

Although I never shut up! Should I shut up? Bit worried now...

Update on me - first bit of nausea yesterday just as I was about to get on a tour bus in Barcelona. Then i promptly fell asleep! useless
Boobs have suddenly expanded and bloody hurt and for some reason bean (my name for him/her) is nagging at my right side and I'm getting stabby fanjo. Sorry if tmi!

Had whole name discussion last night (love Hannah Zyla). My dh is a bit special and keeps suggesting ridiculous names that sound funny with our surname. I'm really hoping he's joking...

Leela5 · 09/09/2014 08:19

Oh and it's quite obvious I was answering last days posts as that just post I just did was but random sorry!

What did they say to you juni? People can be dicks. Ignore.

I have a paunch particularly after eating. I look pregnant even tho it's far too soon.

TabbyTurmoil · 09/09/2014 09:05

I'm just going to de-lurk to say la !!!! Amazing news when did this happen?

I think the paunch is kind of inevitable unless you are very lucky. I have encountered a new world of gas I didn't know existed.

laurenamium · 09/09/2014 10:14

I've tried looking for the thread you were on about Juni but I can't Confused people are awful though sometimes! Feel much braver hiding behind a keyboard!

ZylaB · 09/09/2014 10:47

I think it was in pregnancy, about a bad scan and people were very judgemental.

la our surname is a colour so we spent a while suggesting first names that we're fine! but made it sound like something out of the dulux catalogue such as Scarlett and jasmine, amused us for ages :)

wilmabedrock · 09/09/2014 10:53

Yeah that was it. People were having a go at the OP for complaining she had an unfriendly sonographer because she should be thankful her baby was healthy. Because that obviously means you can't be annoyed about something Hmm .

Is it bedtime yet?

JuniDD · 09/09/2014 11:09

Morning, yeah the thread was in pregnancy. At my private 20 week scan the sonographer was like - this is the head I'm measuring the posterior ventricle, this is the stomach, it's full of fluid which is a good sign etc. She said she's the same in the NHS so go figure!

Had a bit of practise at having a newborn last night...got two hours sleep. Sad My left hip has suddenly decided to be incredible painful in any position other than sitting directly upright. Not very conducive to a good night's sleep. And lots of us in the same boat! Maybe it was the supermoon and we'll all feel better tomorrow.

Thank god for the 21st century, waiting in for a supermarket delivery now as MrJuni refused to buy toilet roll yesterday...what a week and it's only Tuesday!

tabby last week Grin all very new. I have woken up today with comedy boobs. They are huuuge! I'm also experiencing the joy of sudden desperate wee need! Great when you're out and about.

Oh my god zyla us too! It's a colour and some names sound hilarious with it!

wilmabedrock · 09/09/2014 11:26

Yeah my sonographer was good and explained what everything was and after every check said 'that looks fine'. Which is really all you need. A bit of friendliness and reassurance, not exactly difficult.

Ouch Juni that sounds sore. You have definitely reached the uncomfy stage I'm afraid.

Nessalina · 09/09/2014 11:30

Oh that's charming! Hmm AIBU really gets... unreasonable sometimes!!

Nah, you're not talking too much La! Grin The more chat the better I say! NCT was good thanks. DH even enjoyed it! They had a little lending library so I borrowed a book on water birth - reading with interest!
I remember the stabby fanjo pains early on - not sure what they're all about!!

Hey Tabby! Smile How's things going? Do you have an EDD for the roll call?

Nessalina · 09/09/2014 11:39

Ooh x-posting.

Juni - sleeping is now horrible with me too, turning over is like an ordeal! Confused I'm ok when I'm up and about mostly, so long as I don't walk too far...

Our sonographer at 20 weeks was a little bit grumpy, but she softened up and told us all we needed to know. The consultant at 12 weeks was weirdly rude - she didn't seem to get why we were being scanned with her rather than having a normal scan! I thought she must not have read our notes, but then she said 'you know that it's next to impossible for Turners syndrome to reoccur?' And we're like there thinking 'yes, but if you can't understand that a) we want to make sure, and b) why we don't want to get our 12 week scan in the same room that we had bad news last time, then you really are an insensitive bitch' Hmm
Then she have us a hard time about getting the NIFTY test privately, but it turned out only because they'd just started doing it there - which we had no way of knowing because they don't advertise or offer it! Bizarre.
Anyway. It was not the best of experiences. I don't think she meant to be snarky - some people just have no interpersonal skills!

Pisghetti · 09/09/2014 11:41

I felt really sorry for that poster. Yes the sonographer has a job to do but I think the scans are for the parents too. The lady doing my dating scan was great. She explained everything thoroughly and had a couple of goes at capturing the still image for us to print a good photo.

You lot are lovely.

I had lots of stabby pains on my left side La and I'd assumed therefore I'd ovulated from that side. However the sonographer found a large cyst on my right ovary which she thinks is the corpus luteum. You certainly become aware of a lot of 'activity' down there as things start stretching out in the early days.

Ouch Juni hope that hip starts behaving.

We haven't had a proper conversation regarding names yet. I bounced one off DS yesterday which he was quite positive about. Only thing is that it's a boy's name that I want for a girl (but it is Welsh so not many people will realise). I need to have a chat with a Welsh speaker to see if it can be feminised somehow.

JuniDD · 09/09/2014 11:50

Aw ness, the turning over is the worst! I never thought I'd say this but I am beginning to look forward to the baby being airside...just hope it means these aches & pains subside!

I think the highlight of the day is going to be no substitutions in the shopping!

Think I'll try a little stroll to see if that helps with the back/hip. So hard to know what's going to help or make it worse. Grrr.

Early birds - keep drinking water! Some of the cramps are horrendously painful and a drink does help.

Congratulations could and kato as well, I've missed lots of bfps!

Thanks Ness. My EDD is 9 April. Things have been a bit stressful to be honest, so I'm just biding my time until the 12 week scan and trying to be as relaxed as possible (which isn't always very relaxed - had blood in my wee last week and gp thought it might be mc so sent me off to the EPU - saw jellybean wobbling around at 8+ 5, and bleeding now seems to be clearing up on antibiotics).

TabbyTurmoil · 09/09/2014 13:09

Sorry to hear about all the aches and pains and sleeping problems. It's a good thing babies are so freakin adorable.

Nessalina · 09/09/2014 13:25

How scary for you Tabby Confused Glad it's cleared up though! How long have you got to wait for scan then?

TabbyTurmoil · 09/09/2014 14:00

Only another two and a half weeks! Hopefully seeing the heartbeat at 8 weeks is a good sign, but still hiding from all things pregnancy until the nuchal scan is done.

minimooo · 09/09/2014 14:07

Hi tabby sorry things have been stressful. Hope you have an easier of time of it now. From what I have read, seeing the heartbeat at 8 weeks is a very positive sign.

Sorry to hear about the achey hip juni. Sounds nasty.

How's the hollibobs going la?

I saw that thread too about the 20-week scan and felt really sorry for the op Sad There sure are some nasty posters out there. That's why I stay here where it's all safe and everyone is lovely!

I've been so sick all morning. I even had to get up in the night to be sick - hurled so hard I gave myself a nosebleed! that's gross, sorry! Please tell me this stage passes soon....

minimooo · 09/09/2014 16:06

pis I've just read back over the thread and saw your post (must have missed it earlier!) I'm a Welsh speaker - am very intrigued which name it is! (Totally understand if you don't want to reveal it though) Smile

I like the thought of a Welsh name, but dh is Turkish Cypriot and his family would expect us to choose a Turkish name so not sure which way it'll go at the moment!

ZylaB · 09/09/2014 16:28

Ok so went to the eye clinic, I have a small amount of retinopathy, caused by being pregnant as my sugars are good so not that. She said it would probably clear up after baby is here (she's already a naughty child causing me issues!!) but they want to keep an eye on it, so I've got to go back for another scan in 3 months.

She also said it may be related to blood pressure, so now they've got to look into that a lot at the antenatal clinic, so my appointment in 2 weeks is now about my low sugars, my eyes and my blood pressure. Sigh.

At least she said it was very small amounts and my vision would be fine and it'd probably clear up when I've given birth....

Gp will possibly sign me off until after that appointment, I'll have to go see on fri, but work are coming out to visit fri as well rolls eyes don't know what they expect me to say "yes it'll get better around...march??" Lol

Pisghetti · 09/09/2014 17:03

Sent a message mini Smile sorry about the awful sickness Confused is a GP trip in order?

Good luck for the scan Tabby - seeing the heartbeat at 8wks is very positive.

Sounds like good news on the eyes Zyla at least they're keeping a close eye on you (pardon pun)

I told HR today and the guys I share an office with. I was saying how I'm feeling much less tired now and then a bit later I dropped off while one of them was talking to me Blush

Leela5 · 09/09/2014 17:27

tabby really sorry it's been stressful Hmm hopefully now you can start to relax a bit having seen the baby.

I'm scared - I'm meeting up with my bro and sis in law tomorro at a villa in Spain. We've planned to tell them about baby because I'd normally be drinking and also they live abroad and I don't normally get to see them. But having seen so many posts on MN of mc later I'm scared to tell them in case it tempts fate Hmm

Am I ridiculous? Also I keep panicking when I get no twinges for an hour or so. I'm walking down the street squeezing my boobs to check if they still hurt. I'm a moron
