Just Shagging - Thread 11 for Graduated Viroids!

JuniDD · 17/08/2014 06:27

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 11th grads thread...celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed Grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 27th outing.

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal here once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a secret facebook group, if you want to join, ask in-thread.

So, roll call below please, viroids! Smile

Kato! Do forgive me for my rudeness - congrats and welcome!! Grin
I'd echo Pis, definitely move onto maintaining calorie allowance (which I'm guessing will be between 1700 and 2000 a day depending on current height and weight) - they don't recommend calorie control when you're upduffed. Exercise wise, try and speak to GP or midwife - ask for a telephone appt with GP if you're having trouble getting thru to midwife. In early pregnancy I think you can mostly carry on as normal, depending on how you feel, but kettle bells sound quite heavy going Grin
Huge congrats on massive weight loss so far!!

Aww I'm excited for Kate. I can imagine her being quite strict with Wills re: JSing Grin

Love the name Hannah Smile We're still a long way off a name... It's so hard!!

First NCT class tonite Shock Really hope people are nice...

JuniDD · 08/09/2014 17:49

Hello, did I say congrats kato? Sorry if I forgot all these new BFPs!

I've just made myself a mozzerella and tomato salad and it was delicious. I wouldn't usually do that (don't like raw tomato) but yummy. Nice to find something I actually like that's healthy!

zyla nice name! How exciting to have chosen. Turns out I'm a fussy puss about names and when we were discussing it MrJuni told me he wouldn't discuss it anymore as I hated everything!

Can I just say, thanks to you all for being so nice. I've been posting/reading a lot on here lately and think I need to step back as people get a kicking on here for all sorts, don't they?!

Hope NCT is good tonight ness. Our first one is about 2 weeks before EDD due to some mess up so hope we make it. We are both massively introverted but I've been feeling a bit lonely today so hopefully we'll meet some nice people as I'll be going back to work very early for some company! (colleague has already suggested I go back and plonk baby on the floor in the carseat. Wink

Thanks for all of you xx

ness let us know how the NCT class is, mines not until jean but we're doing the two full days as DH can't get home fm work early enough for the weekly ones, but I'm really interested in how they are!

juni I think a lot of the threads where people can comment once and disappear can be very judgemental, this thread and the JS ttc one are loads nicer as it feels a bit more personal, like you know people more :)

ZylaB · 08/09/2014 18:02

kato I'm in awe at your weight loss! you're some sort of goddess! With regards to exercising I'd just started doing the couch to 5k programme to get fitter and lose some weight (which is hard when diabetic as things that normally make people lose weight make me hypo and have to eat sweets!) but then I got pg and had to stop as it was a lot more exercise than usual and apparently you're not supposed to do new things if they leave you too out of breath. So I'm sticking to walking and swimming for now, but am determined to get back on the treadmill when things have settled down after baby is born :)

cookielove · 08/09/2014 18:08

We missed our antenatal classes cause of going into early labour Blush

wilmabedrock · 08/09/2014 18:38

cookie was it you who had gestational diabetes or was that Horace?

FurryScoob · 08/09/2014 18:46

We've had 2 NCT classes so far, the group are really nice but not sure how many we'll stay in contact with as not many live in our area.

Well done on the weight loss kato
I'm avoiding scales, I don't want to know how much I've put on until baby's born & I can do something about loosing the extra weight.

couldbeanyone · 08/09/2014 18:48

Kato I don't think I said hi and congrats! I've been continuing my usual exercise which doesn't sound as hardcore as yours but admit to crying off Pilates class tonight as feel sick and simply can't be bothered. May bounce on my exercise ball to kid myself I've done something!

Juni I'm sure there are lots of people who hide behind a screen and wouldn't dare say such things in real life. Some things are better kept in your head and not said or written down. There are a few posts on here I see that really irk me (oh I have no money types - then someone asks for a list of outgoings and it has all sorts of unnecessary things on it which they then try to justify!) but I never comment just add to my watched threadsWink

Nessalina · 08/09/2014 18:51

Yeah, I've not weighed myself at all! I don't want to know! Grin Really hoping BFing will make me lose loads fingers and toes crossed

Thanks for you too Juni! Smile It really is fab to have you lovely viroids to chat to. You're right - some threads are a bit scary!! Shock

couldbeanyone · 08/09/2014 18:51

Pressed post too soon.

Antenatal classes are a good time off for me although already been given dates, would be nice to go to meet people but not sure the nhs 2 classes are really going to help - active birth and feeding. I'm planning to ask for elcs (previous emcs) so don't plan to be very active Wink

Nessalina · 08/09/2014 18:55

We're doing the longer NCT, 2hrs for 6 weeks (I think!) then a longer BFing session on a Saturday. I don't think I could take it all in two long days, though it's good that they do a range of options.

Can any of you lot 30 weeks plus tell which way baby is lying?? In the last couple of days I'm getting a lot of pressure and firm feeling at the top of my bump - do you reckon this means he's turned round?

Nessalina · 08/09/2014 18:56

Lol - post fest!

Could & Kato - when's your estimated due date, and is this your first sprog? Just filling in the gaps for the roll call! Smile

Pisghetti · 08/09/2014 19:00

Do you have to pay for NCT classes? #clueless

How many weeks gone is it acceptable to pass your normal pot belly off as a bump? I'm getting a quote done for some windows (he's measuring up now) and I'm gently rubbing my pot as if it is a 6 month baby bump as the first step in the process of letting him know I'm signing nothing today.

KatoPotato · 08/09/2014 19:08

Due 16th may with #2. Already have an awesome little 4.5yo boy!

FurryScoob · 08/09/2014 19:15

Unfortunately you have to pay pis & I think different areas charge different amounts.

My bumps feeling tight around the top ness but I'm feeling the most amount of movement low down, she's supposed to be head down but I've got know idea how the midwives tell!

wilmabedrock · 08/09/2014 19:33

I think they make it up scoob. The student one I had last time certainly didn't have a clue.

NHS classes round here aren't really conducive to meeting new people. It's more sitting in a room listening to a midwife then leaving. Not sure I'll bother this time, surely advice can't have changed much in a couple of years?! Never done NCT.

JuniDD · 08/09/2014 19:38

ness last time I went midwife she said the back was along my right hand side and the head was down. She did ask where I was feeling most movement and went from there I reckon. I get flutters very low down and stronger movements high up on the right so reckon it's in the same position. Next appointment is Friday first thing.

I've had to hide the thread I was on as it was really shocking me, thanks all for being so kind after I had a similar experience! (20 wk scan).

Am trying to pack my hospital bag...Shock

Ness this is sprog number 2 and due 1 may by dates.

Nessalina · 08/09/2014 22:12

Class was good! We paid about £250 I think Pis - that includes NCT membership for the year.
The leader is very nice, very open & funny, seems happy to talk about whatever we like, and made a point that she doesn't have an agenda to push which is a relief. And the other couples seem nice and normal! Grin
She went through the stages of labour in a bit of detail and we practised some birth positions Shock lol

Nessalina · 08/09/2014 22:14

I reckon that's where my sprog is Juni - it feels much firmer on the right hand side, I reckon bum is at the top!

FurryScoob · 08/09/2014 22:27

I'm layed on the sofa with my cat next to me, she's got her paws on my bump while baby's wiggling away inside. Cat looks totally confused at what the hell is going on in there!

wilmabedrock · 08/09/2014 23:09

I'm intrigued about this other thread now Juni...

wilmabedrock · 08/09/2014 23:24

Ah never mind I've just seen it. People really can be idiots.

JuniDD · 08/09/2014 23:36

Innit, wil. A little kindness goes a long way I think!

Am in a massive piss with mrJuni tonight. He's on a lazy trip which I cannot be bothered with. Refusing to clean the cat's litter tray and help me generally. Grrrrr.

Cat revenge in the bed juni!! (But not of the messy sort, of the stealing his side of the bed sort) :)
