Hahah pickled you should take pics to monitor their growth hahah not sure mine have done much yet!

And yes, as pickled said! I am in NZ sp1rals so technical y it is bed time but still a bit early!

perse what do u have? I was given metamide but I am pretty sure I felt worse with them so not taken them much. Yay to you feeling better!

notoasthere · 06/08/2014 09:27

Scan date through - 29/8. Should be 12 weeks then. Exciting!

Even more exciting than the return of bake off tonight!

persepolis123 · 06/08/2014 09:37

rainbow I'm on 5mg of prochlorperazine three times a day. I generally feel slightly better in the evenings anyway so I'm taking at 8am 12pm and 4pm to get me through the day at work. So far so good. Now I just need time to speed up so I can get to the 12 week scan. It seems so far off. It won't be until about the 5th of September Sad

Rainbow555 · 06/08/2014 10:07

Mine will be around then too! Seems ages away!

PickledPorcupine · 06/08/2014 10:10

And mine will be, which is the first week back of the new school term so I will be asking for time off after just having 6 weeks off!

KeeperOfTheZoo · 06/08/2014 10:11

Morning all you gagging, sickly, knackered glowing mums-to-be!

Managed my body combat class last night with only 1 exit to try to throw up (but as ever, fail). Instructor very sympathetic and understanding.

Still waiting for my letter from the hospital with my booking appointment - saw my MW last Tuesday and she said she would send the form off that day so I really hope I hear something in the next week or so. Getting impatient for the next milestone to look forward to!

Bake Off followed by One Born tonight ladies - 2 hours of heaven if you ask me! (assuming we can all watch the sickness-inducing gorgeous baked goods without the urge to vomit!

FoscarC · 06/08/2014 10:24

Honestly ladies it gets better. I am
Feeling so so much better. I still have to make sure I eat regularly. I wake up feeling fine (but always have) and the I need to eat about 30 mins after I wake and then I eat at approximately 2 hour intervals (rather than constantly like I used to have to), and I feel good generally. Still bloated and constipated. And tired. But it is getting much better. I'm 10+1 I think. And felt awful until about a week ago. Still have some worse days but nothing like I was getting. The happy times are in sight!!!

coastergirl · 06/08/2014 10:25

Bake off followed by One Born is what I've been looking forward to all week. Weirdly, I love baking but I'm not much of a cake person. I tend to give them away.

Sorry to all those who are still feeling rough. I really feel for you. I'm never sick and feeling sick frankly terrifies me! At 6+5 I'm still doing OK. my boobs are agony though after settling down for a few days and my skin seems greasy all over. Strange!

TakeMeUpTheNorthMountain · 06/08/2014 10:32

Hiya, Im still here, dont know if I was seen on the other thread or not!

EDD is 15 March. DC no 2 with a 9 year gap so bit scary!

Im 8+1 and Ive lost my symptoms, the boobs, the smell, the dizziness and nausea. Im still tired, but I have arthritis and am always tired.

Im worried, the hospital wont see me here till 12 weeks. I got on to them this morning and was told I can come in for a scan at 11 wks.

I could pay private for one, I m just afraid they will see nothing at this stage.

I constantly feel I am just about to get my period too which is also freaking me out.

fourmonthstogo · 06/08/2014 10:46

Just in reception waiting for the midwife for my booking in appointment. How exciting! Feels like a milestone reached.

tannyLoo · 06/08/2014 11:11

Hi take, sorry you're experiencing this. It could be something or nothing, as you know.

You would definitely see something on a scan at this stage, and at my local epu they will scan if you say you're experiencing spotting. Might be worth a white lie, just to know where you stand.

Good luck.

littlemissy12345 · 06/08/2014 11:20

Yes take I had a scan on Monday at just 6 weeks and saw a heartbeat so you will definitely see a lot more than that. I seem to remember with my DD that all my symptoms disappeared at 9ish weeks (and caused massive panic!).

persepolis123 · 06/08/2014 11:31

take they should see a heartbeat at this stage. We saw and heard the heartbeat at 6+5. I agree with tannyloo perhaps you could consider telling a little white lie to get an early scan? Call your midwife and tell her your concerns.

FlipFlippingFlippers · 06/08/2014 11:57

I finally got my booking in appointment woo hoo! Next Thursday Grin I don't know why I'm so excited as they're just going to poke me with needles, make me pee in pots and shout at me for being fat Cake I should then get my scan appointment for the week after.

I'll be 10 weeks tomorrow and my symptoms are decreasing. Still very tired but not as sick. Had a horrible headache all day Monday but I survived. Excited to be able to tell everyone soon.

junkfoodaddict · 06/08/2014 12:07

FlipFlippingFlippers I have my booking in appointment next Thursday too at 1pm.
I went to the GPs today regarding my UTI and I am on a 4 a day 1 week course of antibiotics and basically told me to stop worrying. Grin
I am absolutely shattered today so he told me to put my feet up and relax as now is the time (he said) that my body will start to suffer, i.e. tiredness, nausea and moodiness, as I am 7+2. Also it could be post holiday tiredness.

HollyBen · 06/08/2014 12:45

My booking apt is next Thursday at 10 ! I am really hope it is not with the same mw as last time as she was hopeless. Last booking was supposed to take an hour but it took nearer 2 and then she forgot to give me the form I needed to take to 12 week scan so they can book 20 week scan. I got told off at scan for not having itShock and was almost outside the window for having 20 week scan. After DD was born I think we had every local mw visit us. She was the only one who wasn't interested in having a cuddle (with dd not me god forbid). Only a cold hearted witch could not want a cuddle with my little bundle of joy surely Grin

Brummiegirl15 · 06/08/2014 12:50

Hey all!

Now I've been lucky enough to get a scan at hospital and another in 2 weeks so they can see the heartbeat I'm going to cancel my early scan on Saturday

No point paying £80 for seeing nothing!! So therefore that means I'm really excited by having a Saturday with nothing planned!! Bliss.

Am v tired at moment and got a lot of work stuff coming up. Seotember is going to be manic - so slightly concerned about how I'll cope but hey ho!

Welcome more newbies!!!!

TakeMeUpTheNorthMountain · 06/08/2014 12:55

So I rang and said I was woriied and was told I could be fitted in for the 11 weeks but thats it. I couldnt say I had spotting, I would feel so bad with myself if anything went wrong. Stupid I know.

So Ive booked a private on for Sat. Heres hoping!

coastergirl · 06/08/2014 13:11

I can understand you not wanting to lie Take. I got the feeling a lot do it though, when I went for mine. I've had spotting more days than I haven't, pretty much since I found out. But the midwife who did my paperwork before and after the scan was very brisk with me and dismissive of my symptoms. Just got the feeling they get messed around a lot.

Struggling here today. The combination of no anxiety meds, hormones and too much time to bloody think, is not a good combination for me. Yet again I'm convinced everyone hates me and the world would be a better place without me. Which just sounds so self-indulgent, which makes me feel even worse!

ChristinaYang · 06/08/2014 14:24

Hi all!

Well GP appointment went ok yesterday but she's not "referring" me for an early scan but will state in her letter to the hospital that i'm anxious and hopefully they'll "see you at 11-12wks instead of the usual 13-14wks"Hmm. Don't know where she's pulling those dates from because I was under 12 weeks when I had scan appointments in both pregnancies - both within the last 2 years with the same hospital.

Anyway I've decided to book a private scan when i'm between 8-9 weeks, which still seem ages away! Very tired today, have actually thought about locking myself in the toilets in work for a quick snooze! Shock

ChristinaYang · 06/08/2014 14:25

TakeMeUpTheNorthMountain I couldn't lie either, just feels wrong!

persepolis123 · 06/08/2014 14:29

take I was the same. I couldn’t bring myself to lie for fear of jinxing things but I understand why some people would. My mum said I should have pushed for one on the NHS because of my previous mc but I didn’t want to have to fight for it so paid for a private one. It’s worth every penny if it provides a little bit of reassurance.

KentExpecting · 06/08/2014 15:16

Coaster I completely understand what you're going through. I've spent most of the last 10 years medicated to the max as I have pretty serious depression. And now this hormonal roller coaster without meds... Argh! I'm kind of ok for now, but my main problem is that I get much much worse seasonally. Not looking forward to the winter months at all.

Still pondering if I need to do anything about my little fainting episode yesterday. Should I call my GP or the midwife about it? Do they need to know? Are they likely to have anything helpful to say? I'm a bit freaked out about my commute to work (90 mins each way) as I really don't want to faint in a bus full of strangers...

DurhamRed · 06/08/2014 15:18

Afternoon all!

Thankfully I have only been sick once today so new tabs seem to be working so far...fingers crossed!!

Have early private scan tomorrow for reassurance. Will be 8 weeks tomorrow, both excited and scared too...hope all will be OK!

notoasthere · 06/08/2014 15:21

kent fainting is one of those horrible pregnancy side effects. Keep well hydrated and perhaps pop a wee card in your pocket stating your pregnant with some contact numbers so if you do faint folk aren't calling an ambulance!
