God butterpuff, I can't even remember. I seem to remember reading the nuchal results but I can't remember if that was a print out on the day or if it was in a letter.

I'm really struggling with DS. He's a few months why of two tears and just hitting a really difficult shouty period that I don't really know how to deal with anyway. I just made him pork belly because he loves it but I couldn't face it so made myself fish and rice. And of course, he just wants mine...

ZebraZeebra · 05/08/2014 17:12

I think if there was anything wrong with the scans, they'd tell you sooner.

Brummiegirl15 · 05/08/2014 17:30

Hey all
Been to see docs - they were worried about ectopic so sent me to EPU.

I had a scan - and they struggled to see anything, so had to have dildo cam!! That was interesting....! Anyway my dates aren't what I thought they were. I was told by docs I was 7 weeks tomorrow but scan showed approx 5+3 and they couldn't see a heartbeat, but they could see the yolk sac.

So have set me another appointment for in 2 weeks time. But at least it's in the right place!! Pain is probably quite severe stretching.

Just got to wait 2 weeks for next scan

KeeperOfTheZoo · 05/08/2014 17:42

So sorry to north and Charlie - scary how we're still not all safe yet - I know in theory we won't ever be but roll on the tim ehwen we can all relax at least just a little bit.

Foscar I can't bvelieve you've never watched Bake Off! It is the best thing on TV! Although if it's on at 9pm then ot will clash with One Born so get the recorders set up for one or the other everyone! Grin

Well, if I had been worrying about not feeling sick enough to be properly pregnant, this last few days have more than made up for it Sad. The waves of nausea have been unbelievably bad - not constant and not even always at the same time of day, but a few hours of each day have been horrendous. I've tried so many times to throw up but haven't actually managed it, despite heaving and retching so badly I don't see how anything can stay down. And the horrendous retching/gagging when brushing my teeth is back with a vengeance - I suffered badly with this last time and it appears to have got me again this time.

Oh well, off to body combat soon - my instructor knows about my pg so understands when I need to run out of the class because of the unstoppable urge to chunder...

I've been on holiday in Turkey for two weeks so I have missed rather a lot. Very sad news to hear we have lost some March mummies.

I didn't enjoy my holiday that much. It was searing hot. I was all inclusive and couldn't eat much because of the severe nausea. I think I have actually lost weight! I suffered greatly with UTI symptoms which concerned me. I went out with Trimethroprim as it was prescribed to me before I got pregnant as I am susceptible to them. I googled the drug and found I wasn't to take them. Also suffered a very tiny amount of brown mucus on wiping which concerned me as I didn't suffer anything like that with DC1. I was tired, bloated, couldn't walk far because my hips hurt and felt like I needed a constant wee and had pressure down below.

Now being home, my UTI symptoms have gone (still bloated from the very expensive McDonalds at Dalaman airport - 33!), no brown mucus just normal CM but my appetite seemed better from yesterday as it was.

I should be 7+1 day now.

KentExpecting · 05/08/2014 19:59

Hey girls

8 weeks tomorrow...

I've just got home from a trip to Germany for a friend's wedding, followed by a couple of days' sightseeing in Munich. I normally love trips like this, but TBH it was pretty miserable...

Nausea is still annoying me lots and I don't have ANY energy. Keep feeling dizzy etc. So I dragged myself to the wedding, to the sights etc, but just when we were on the home straight (literally - on the plane!) the dizziness got the better of me and I fainted.

So frustrated. Still have niggly pains on the right side as well. Not really strong, more like mild period pains. But it all scares me.

Sorry for the whinge...

xxx

notoasthere · 05/08/2014 20:00

Turns out even just doing the online sainsburys shop can induce retching.....fun!

Lifeisabeach · 05/08/2014 20:10

Really sorry to hear northdown and charlie's sad news :-(

Also sorry to hear some are suffering so badly with ms. I've got off fairly lightly so far but felt awful this morning, almost fainted in the shower, everything went black and I had to get out and sit on the floor. That was followed by a few minutes of retching, not fun! Luckily I felt ok once I'd eaten, that's the only thing that seems to help!

Not heard from the midwife yet, I rang the GP surgery on fri and the receptionist took my details for the MW to call me back. I guess there's a clinic one day a week and I won't get a call til that day.

I'm playing netball tonight, really don't feel up to it but don't want to let my team down. Think I need to stop after tonight though, just can't think of a decent excuse to last me for the next 5 weeks until I've hopefully had a successful 12 week scan and can come clean...any ideas??

coastergirl · 05/08/2014 22:02

TMI, but my nipples are driving me crazy!! They are sore, tingly and standing to attention. I am constantly aware of them.

Brummie I had a scan last week and also discovered that I am less far gone than I should be according to my dates, but then I pretty much knew that already. I was only 5+4 when scanned, so 6+4 today. Hope your next scan goes well. I have another one in 2 weeks too. Fingers crossed we will both find out that things are progressing as they should be :-)

Sp1rals · 05/08/2014 22:42

Ok I'm moaning again. Has anybody else got the most disgusting taste in their mouth the whole time? I can't make it go away. Between that and the constant nausea and occasional vomiting I'm just a delight at the moment. Oh and all I can stomach to eat is crap so I'm growing a belly that's about 0.005 baby and the rest food. But I'm too tired to care.

As you were people. Vent complete.

coastergirl · 05/08/2014 23:19

Sorry you're feeling so rough Sp1rals As much as my nipples are annoying me, I know I've been lucky so far. Not even the slightest hint of nausea except for when I've been anxious which is normal for me. Hope you turn a corner soon!

Sp1rals · 05/08/2014 23:30

Thanks coastergirl, appreciate the late night support. Re your nipples (ooer missus), I posted before about getting a sleep bra, basically like a soft crop top but with support, it's really helped me. Feels much less abrasive than regular bras. I'm normally a 32d and have def gone up a few sizes so I'm hyper aware of boobs too at the minute.

PickledPorcupine · 05/08/2014 23:43

Sp1rals Yes! I constantly taste disgusting! I would describe it as a cross between licking cardboard and the taste you get in your mouth when you have tonsillitis. Gross!

tannyLoo · 06/08/2014 00:12

Yes to vile taste! Mine is really bitter, like when you take a tablet and some sticks to your throat. Yuk!

I started to think my nausea was easing up a bit, but it just seems to have moved. Really don't know if this makes sense, but instead of feeling sick in my stomach, it now all seems to be in my throat, so any slight irritation or tightening makes me gag.

So far have only been sick in the evenings when I've been a bit greedy, like tonight, and then feel amazing relief for an hour or two.

I'm 9 weeks today, so maybe the easing up is timely. I'm bursting out of all my clothes and going camping at the end of next week. God knows what I'm going to find to wear!

CatRen27 · 06/08/2014 05:20

Hi all, I got my BFP a week ago and think I'm due in late March based on the due date calculator

Haven't been to the GP yet as I'm on a work trip 18 hours flight from home (argh!) but booked in for next Friday. Feeling pretty good so far, just a little bit of cramping but nothing too bad, and little dizzy spells. Trying not to get too carried away before the first scan but it's very hard not to when I have whole evenings to myself and google at my fingertips..!

How is everyone else feeling?

x

eatscakefornoreasonwhatsoever · 06/08/2014 06:10

I've given up on the keeping it secret until 12 weeks. Fuck it. It doesn't guarantee anything really so we're just telling people. I'm so ill at the moment that it's that or lie do

I have a pack of biscuits next to the bed and I make myself eat one as soon as I wake up and then lie still for at least 5 minutes before getting up. It seems to make actual vomiting less likely. My mum is coming on a mercy mission today bringing acidophilus and vitamin b6 and ginger sweeties and a hug. Thank god.

notoasthere · 06/08/2014 06:46

I'm hoping this is the peak of my sickness as I'm really not feeling great at all

Sunshine4444 · 06/08/2014 06:58

Been feeling really good but week 10 has come with a bang! Been sick and I've had the most awful headache for 3 days! I've taken paracetamol, forehead stuff and the migraine head strips but nothing is helping.
Does anyone know if we can take anything else?

KentExpecting · 06/08/2014 07:36

Hi Sunshine, I think if you speak to your GP, they'll let you have cocodamol, which contains codeine and should wipe out any headache. Call them!!!

Sunshine4444 · 06/08/2014 07:44

Thanks so much kent I will... It's killing me!!!x

Rainbow555 · 06/08/2014 08:16

Yes to foul taste and anything I eat seems to linger! And yes to nausea or bloating moving, sometimes my stomach is tight and it's in my throat or then low down.

I must admit it's all been a bit of shock and I am over it already! A few months ago I would go to work easily, motivated and enjoy my day. Now I have to eat the second I wake and my day revolves around gagging, nausea, what food I will need to get through the day, what I can and can't eat and whether I can function in morning meetings or not! It is consuming my life! Don't get me wrong I wanted this and I so glad to be pregnant every day but just wasn't expect to feel yuk all the time!
And it's hard no one else knowing, I am so glad for you all on here so we can share and sympathise, think I might cave and tell my mum!

So here is to all of you :) hope u are feeling good this morning and have good days, early night for me I think!

Sp1rals · 06/08/2014 08:41

Rainbow I just smiled and felt sad at the same time that you are already planning your early night at 8.15am! I know how you feel though. But... Another moan here... I can't even look forward to bed cos I just lie there feeling sick :-(
Have a slightly less shit than normal good day everyone.

notoasthere · 06/08/2014 08:48

It does get better - promise. I'm certainly not enjoying first tri as much this time round, other than the fact my deflated post breastfeeding boobs are growing again Wink This too will pass though and it wont be long till we are starting to feel these babies move!

PickledPorcupine · 06/08/2014 09:11

Sp1rals Rainbow is in NZ so it's bed time for her.

My boobs have grown again overnight!

persepolis123 · 06/08/2014 09:12

My mum had a doctor's appointment the day before yesterday for herself. At the end of the appointment she spoke to the doctor about my morning sickness and he wrote me a prescription there and then for some tablets. He said they didn't have a very good success rate but to try them first but they are absolutely amazing! I feel human again.

Welcome cat and congratulations.

brummie I bet it's just that you aren't as far gone as you thought. Unless you know exactly when you ovulated then it's likely to be out at least a few days. I thought I was 7.5 - 8 weeks when I had my scan but I only measured 6+5. I'm not worried much though.
