How are you this morning Brummie?

woodlandwanderwoman · 05/08/2014 07:24

My warmest thoughts with north and Charlie x

Woken up to a new symptom today, headaches and nosebleed. How lovelyHmm I am 10 weeks today and didn't get nosebleeds until the end last time.

Wishing you all a blooming good day and thoughts are with those who are worried and feeling unwell, much hand holding from here, so glad we can all be in this together.

Brummiegirl15 · 05/08/2014 07:33

Morning.

Still got pains, although not as severe as last night. But a definite feeling of being unwell. There is a EPAU at Birmingham Women's, so going to ring GP this morning

Rainbow555 · 05/08/2014 08:00

brummie I hope all is ok, if no blood can u presume all is ok? I don't know? Could be stretchy pains? I have had some ver sharp shooting pains at times and often I think much of it is the bloating.
Really hoping all is ok for you.

8 weeks today midwife should be seeing me this week to book scan and get notes etc.

mariomadmum · 05/08/2014 08:02

I'm worrying about the scan I had yesterday. there was the sac and yolk sac but no baby. I should be 7+5. the sonographer was unsure if there will be a baby next week. on the other hand the nurse/doctor I spoke to afterwards was quite positive comparing yesterdays scan with the one I had 10 days ago. the sac has doubled in size and now there is yolk (there was just the sac 10 days ago) maybe I have just got my dates wrong and im not as far along as I thought? I'm driving myself crazy. this is going to be the longest week of my life!

kettlepot · 05/08/2014 08:12

Thinking of you charlie and north.

Gosh this thread has moved so quickly... I'm on a work trip at the moment and feel like I've missed so much! Nausea seems to have abated (good, but worrying!)

Hope everything is a bit clearer in next weeks scan mario. And fab news littlemissy and tannyloo!!

Good luck for your scan tomorrow zebra, am also very excited about the return of GBBO.

Hope you all have lovely days!

FoscarC · 05/08/2014 08:28

brummie how have your bowels been? If you are constipated (as I am) it can make you have some pretty bad pains. Just trying to think of possible reasons.

mario try not to worry. I don't know, but from what I have seen from other peoples experiences doctors are normally very honest about possible outcomes and also fairly knowledgable and if they sound positive then I think you need to try and think positively too. But it must be so so hard. You are still very early to see things. I can imagine how worried must be, but try and stay calm as stress is never a good thing. Sending you big hugs.

Brummiegirl15 · 05/08/2014 08:39

Well I'm not bleeding which is good. But I admit my bowels aren't great. I'm hoping that's what it is. It's just last night the pains were crippling - as in I was walking down Broad Street with my DP and the pain was so severe I was actually doubled up and hobbling along.

I know that a previous mc means I'm fearful and that could be making it worse.

But I'm not bleeding and that is good.

Have called docs and they are going to get a duty doctor to call me.

Work have been good, and told me to stay home and rest.

Will feel like such a tit if it's a bad stomach but better to feel like a tit and it be nothing else

theonewiththenoisychild · 05/08/2014 09:02

morning everyone. just had a great idea to solve the not being able to do the button up on my jeans. i just looped a hair bobble so its doubled. then put it round the button on my jeans then threaded the loop through the button hole and brought it back over the button Smile jeans done up but not too tight for little bean

FlipFlippingFlippers · 05/08/2014 09:06

I'm very impatiently letter box watching. I'm 10 weeks on Thursday and still have no appointment for booking in or scan date yet. I spoke to my midwife on the phone almost 2 weeks ago who said I'd receive an appointment soon. 2 weeks isn't soon!

DurhamRed · 05/08/2014 09:15

Morning all!

Had very bad day/night of vomiting yesterday (damn this ms!) So much so my oh had to call the doc out. Now on my 3rd set of anti sickness meds...fingers crossed these ones work!

Hope everyone is feeling fine and dandy today!

MGFM · 05/08/2014 09:56

flip I don't know how your area works but 2 weeks does seem like a long time to be waiting. After seeing my midwife my scan appointment came through about 5 days later. I would be impatient and give them another call.

M27J5M · 05/08/2014 10:04

Morning all! Hope your all doing ok, I'm havin a crappy morning, been in a grump since tea time yest and can't seem to shake it off, think it's just all hormones but it's doing my head in, my OH isn't making it any better/easier lol luckily he stayed at his own house last night or I may just have totally lost the plot this morning

PickledPorcupine · 05/08/2014 10:07

Brummie how's your diet? I had bad stomach pains at the weekend but I'd been away so not having as much fruit/veg and not getting my 2 weetabix every day. Since coming home I've been much better.

m33r · 05/08/2014 11:03

brummie I have stomach aches - sometimes really bad - often. I am assuming stretching as I am sick as a pig!

flip I'd get on the phone. I did and my appt was in the post by then but it won't do any my harm and they will be able to tell you the date then letter will confirm.

mario hope you're managing!

eatscakefornoreasonwhatsoever · 05/08/2014 11:20

Hi all. Had my booking appt yesterday. The mws were here for ages and made me and ds some sandwiches before they left. God bless them.

Not even vomiting any more but just feel so sick and food adverse. I couldn't even finish a slice of toast and honey for lunch :(

I just want this nausea over with. I can't get properly happy about the baby whilst feeling this way and I'm dropping the ball so badly at work that a whole conference may fall through.

fishfingerSarnies · 05/08/2014 11:21

Found you! I've been feeling a little better with regards to sickness though today it's back and I'm sitting hugging a bucket on the sofa. Scared after last week's passing out to jump up and rush to the toilet again.
Woo gbbo tomorrow and my daughter second birthday so there will be cake!

coastergirl · 05/08/2014 11:26

Brummie could you call the EPU directly? When I saw the midwife just to refer, she gave me the phone numbers of the EPU and the gynae ward because I mentioned some light spotting. When it happened again I just called them directly and they booked me in for an early scan. Not sure what would have happened if I'd gone through the GP. Probably the same but taken longer! Hope you're OK.

I'm full of a cold AGAIN! My cousin's wife just has a cold for the whole time she's pregnant. Really hoping I won't be the same x

pandadragon · 05/08/2014 11:40

Hello March 2015 mummies :)

I'd like to join you all
My edd is 3rd march so I'm 10 weeks
I posted when I took my pregnancy test lol! I took two and they both came back BFP back then I just had cramping n sore breast now I have the bigger sore breast n feeling sick but that seems to be easing the feeling so sick
The thing is it's not really sinking in that I'm pregnant can't believe it!
I've got my first appt with midwife Monday 11th then hopefully the scan will not b too long after
Lol! Hopefully then they can make me believe there's a little one on the way

Hope your all having good days x

eatscakefornoreasonwhatsoever · 05/08/2014 11:47

Oh bless. I had to turn 'I can cook' off because it was making me feel sick and when I told ds why I'd turned his fave programme of he said. "Oh dear mummy sicky" and handed me the sick bowl.
poor kiddo is well trained.
Welcome Panda

sleepingflower · 05/08/2014 12:39

Charlie and North so so sorry :-(

I hope I don't jinx myself by posting this but my ms has got immensely better since I started taking vitamin b6 a couple of days ago. I had been feeling really nauseous for most of the day and retching but never actually sick. the night before last I took my first dose and yesterday I felt so much better. It hasn't gone completely and I've had the odd wave of feeling icky but nowhere near what it was. Would thoroughly recommend it to other sufferers!

coastergirl · 05/08/2014 14:03

eatscake your little boy sounds completely adorable!

Has anyone heard of pregnancy-induced allergies? I thought I had another nasty cold, but it did seem to start yesterday when I was cleaning the rabbits' hutches out. It carried on all last night and I felt rotten. Still felt rubbish this morning then it seemed to settle. I've just been out to them and it started again so badly. I could barely catch my breath between sneezes! Not sure if it's the rabbits themselves or the sawdust.

We also have a 4 month old kitten and we're about to get another to keep her company. Really can't be allergic to them!

Butterpuff · 05/08/2014 14:33

Hello everyone,

Lovely to have a little helper while your feeling bad cakes Hi panda

Have you heard from the doctor yet Brummie?

I just had my second booking appointment! Had one at the docs surgery then got an appointment through for my local MLU where it is likely I will have the rest of my appointments and there was some confusion as they were expecting to book me it but it had all been done. Still, found out my blood is good and my wee is suitable. Now have the 10 day wait for our scan. Yay.

I have a question for those who have done it all before, how long did it take for you to get the results of the downs screening (blood) test done at the 12 week scan?

Also I want to give some hope to those suffering with MS. At 10+4 mine as drastically reduced, its not gone but it is so much more bearable than it was a week ago.

pinkandstripey · 05/08/2014 16:58

Welcome panda and congrats :) there are a few of us due on the 3rd - looks like a great day to have a baby!

butterpuff I seem to remember that it was 2 weeks ish. I still had to chase them up tho :/

Hope everyone is having a good day :)

littlemissy12345 · 05/08/2014 16:59

Has anyone got any suggestions/help with bloating? My tummy feels like it's about to explode with gas. I'm wondering if it's those weetabix I finally managed to stomach this morning. The gas isn't helping with my ms either!
If it's not one thing it's another!
