Hi,

I've finally got my BFP and want to find others who want to chat and eat cake whilst being excited about cooking our little dragons.

I am 31yrs old, just got my BFP for #2.

Come in and sit down for the next nerve racking 9 months :)

Hi all - my EDD is March 30th but my cycle dates are closer to 30 than 28 so I'm inclined to think I'll drop in April. ;)

Hope you don't mind me joining you all?

I'm 30, from Edinburgh and this is DC2. My DD is 15 months so will be 23 months when the wee one comes along.

Am suffering badly just now from back pain which I remember from my first pregnancy. Not pleasant! I also just asked my boss for the days off today for my booking appt and my scan appt. She approved them but looked at me as though she knew exactly what they were for (even though I was intentionally vague - I've only been back to work since January...) I'm dreading telling my boss though as my colleague has not long left and she's not replaced her as a cost saving exercise. So as a result the only people who work on our contract are she and I (me still in a part time capacity). So she's going to need to replace me when I go on mat leave. Eeep!!

pyrowall · 29/07/2014 07:38

Hello!!

Can I join you? I've done umpteen tests and I'm now pretty sure I'm pregnant. I'm now out of tests so I can't do anymore!!

Anyway, my stats:
Pyrowall 35 #2 EDD 5 April 2015

Not feeling anything really - just a bit bloated! But I now seem to have gone off shreddies as I couldn't finish my breakfast and I'm having to give up my beloved coffee!!

Morning all. How is everyone today? I still feel normal! Hello to new bfps.
Lila I thought they must have to go back in around that stage as thinking gotta be at the point where ready to implant. So hopefully you will get some early scans as you have had treat ment? Have you told the clinic yet? I did 3 line tests and even though the last two were dark lines I still had to do a digi to believe it. I also took a photo of the digi so when the battery ran out and I started doubting it was real again I could look at the photo. Yes am a paranoid weirdo!

BrixtonBunny · 29/07/2014 08:38

Morning all! I'm ok this morning, though have started to get some headaches on and off. Apparently it's a normal reaction to hormones but it's rubbish! I'm still getting mild cramps, and have found that I am getting fuller quicker so must be a bit bloated.

Lady I also took photos of my tests and look at them repeatedly Hmm Still feels like it's too early to get excited, think if I get through the next few weeks I'll relax a bit, because my cycles are short I think I'd technically only be dated 3 weeks 4 days today.

Hope everyone is feeling good today! Xx

BrixtonBunny · 29/07/2014 08:39

Welcome pyro! Xx

pyrowall · 29/07/2014 09:00

I've done the same bunny re: the photos, I have them as proof for the OH!!

lila35 · 29/07/2014 10:56

ladyflower yes you're right, unless its a slow developing one they may leave it to 6 days. And yes I get one scan between 7\8 weeks, that's booked in on the 19th. When I called them to tell them about the bfp and book the scan they couldn't have been more enthusiastic, so lovely and sweet, think I'm going to be sad to leave them all really as after that you get handed back to NHS and midwives, just another pregnant lady, I really hope I get to that point xx

Hello pyro and weeblueberry x

BrixtonBunny · 29/07/2014 13:05

I've just downloaded "The Bump" app... too soon? Xx

dancestomyowntune · 29/07/2014 13:10

Ok, so this morning I was questioning my cheapy internet tests so much I went out and purchased a first response. Very clear BFP. So happy. It feels real now so I went to the surgery and have phoned the midwives to arrange booking in. Have so far told my mum, sister and obviously dh. Working on the fact the mirena was removed on July 1st I am working with edd of April 5th.

BrixtonBunny · 29/07/2014 13:22

Congrats and welcome dances! Xx

ladyflower23 · 29/07/2014 13:35

Ah Lila that's so nice they were so happy for you Smile my friend had iui this year but didn't like the clinic much so don't think she minded not seeing them anymore! Hopefully you will get a good nhs midwife. Hope I do too!
Dances nothing beats the sight of a strong line! I really rate first response so worth the money.

minipie · 29/07/2014 14:29

gosh I've only done one test! I've got another one in the cupboard but keep forgetting to use first morning wee as I'm still half asleep anyway at that point. Right, tomorrow I will use it! First one was a pretty strong line though and that was 2 days pre AF so hopefully all is ok.

welcome to new joiners! guess april due dates will be coming thick and fast soon...

So who has everyone told? Other than OH of course? I have told a good friend (who is also recently pg and knows I am was TTC) but nobody else. My parents are away and I'd rather tell them when I see them I think... though I'll probably crack and ring my mum sooner than that.

BrixtonBunny · 29/07/2014 14:54

We haven't told anyone (though I secretly told best friend as I can't keep anything from her, she knew we were TTC and knew when af was due as it was same day as hers, so she texted me to ask for progress). We don't plan on telling parents for a few more weeks - it's our first baby so it still feels very tentative and like it might be taken away at any time! Maybe around 8 weeks we will tell them.

What has everyone else done? Xxx

dancestomyowntune · 29/07/2014 15:14

I have told my sister, my mum (she guessed), mil (again guessed, thinks we are mad!).

Don't want to tell anyone else until we have the 12 week scan as I have a history of mc. Not in last couple of pregnancies, but even so. Ds1 was a twin and we lost his twin so praying that doesn't happen again! Although nattering to the kids about whether they want another sibling and Ds2 wants twins! One of each please mummy! Not sure I could sustain a twin pregnancy thanks son!

pyrowall · 29/07/2014 15:59

i've told my boss (as i had too) couple of friends I work closely with who would think that something was up if I wasnt' drinking tea or doing certain things.
Mum/Dad and Sister
Oh...and the doctor as I had an appointment this morning anyway for something unrelated

mummywithLplates · 29/07/2014 18:53

My stats are 33 yo 2nd baby and I think I'm due 1st April! Don't have regular cycles and last period was 18 June? I average out at around 35 days normally so nhs website has advised I'm 4 weeks and due 1st April?

EssenceOfGelfling · 29/07/2014 19:39

I haven't told anyone yet. Will tell DP and DPIL in a few weeks time, everyone else after the 12 week scan!

Is anyone planning on making some lifestyle changes during pregnancy? At the moment I do no exercise and although not obese I would like to improve my fitness a bit. Planning on starting swimming one evening a week, and looking out for a gentle exercise DVD too - any recommendations?

EssenceOfGelfling · 29/07/2014 19:41

*DP = my parents, not my partner - he knows!!

roastpots · 29/07/2014 22:43

Hello everyone! I'd love to join you all as well. I got my BFP last Thursday and my EDD is 1st April. This is dc2 - my dd is 15m and will be 23m when the baby is born. I'm really scared! We started trying because I'm 35 and last time it took quite a while to conceive so we thought we better get on with it. But this time, it happened super quick. I'm starting to get my head around it now... slowly! I've started feeling some mild nausea and tiredness but nothing too bad. If I remember correctly it gets a whole lot worse in the weeks to come! I told my parents at the weekend and am tempted to tell my DPIL and a few close friends soon - I'm rubbish at keeping secrets! I dread to think what my boss will say (I've only been back at work 6m).... It's totally amazing to think that we have little people growing inside us though!

Wherediparkmybroom · 30/07/2014 05:45

Morning all, I'm up with the youngest again who managed to climb out of his cot last night! Is anyone else constantly tired? I don't remember feels this shattered with the first two! X

BrixtonBunny · 30/07/2014 07:34

Welcome and congrats roastpots!! ThanksThanks

BrixtonBunny · 30/07/2014 07:35

Wheredi I am exhausted, I feel like my body is made of lead at the moment... Xx

Arghh just went to the loo and had pink cm on wiping. Did tests again and positive 1-2 weeks on clearblue digi and positive superdrug (though it's still not a fat line - weird). Should I be freaking out? Because I am Sad

BrixtonBunny · 30/07/2014 08:00

Misty cross post - maybe spotting is normal at this time if we've both had it! Fx for both of us that our beans stick xxxx
