Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 10th grads thread...celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed Grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

There is a stats thread here but its a zombie thread so enter at your own risk....... eeeeek

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 26th outing!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal here once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a secret facebook group, if you want to join, Pm me!

So, roll call below please, viroids! Smile

Hi Zyla
Thanks - I think you're right Smile

I second that, you've nothing to lose by telling him, he sounds like he'll be discrete, and by the time the new guy comes along you'll be a fair way along anyway and he won't want to arrive in a new team giving away peoples' secrets so he should keep schtum too Grin

I dreamy crazy dreams all night Confused Feel like I didn't even sleep!
Passed the 24 week mark yesterday Smile Nice reassuring place to be - in theory squirm could make it in the outside world now if he arrived, but I'd prefer him to stay put a while longer! Grin

Morning!

I agree, Pisghetti. Definitely tell him, then review your new boss when he starts (and tell him just before your next appt is due).

Though do you have a HR dept? If you tell them in confidence, you're sorted for the paid time off, so you could maybe delay telling your new boss for a bit?

And I agree with RPopz re HPTs. Though OPKs did work for me when I ran out of other tests at about 6-7 weeks' pregnant! They're really not very sensitive though, so you need to be more pregnant to trigger them.

Very tired today. Late night as I am trying to get my cross stitch done before baby arrives, then not much sleep thanks to pelvic / back pain. Hopefully the consultant will be nice and move my date for me later on today. :-)

I told my bosses early on Pis - they were very discrete and it definitely made life easier.

Best of luck today Horace ... Smile

Woken up with a killer headache this morning... and working til 8pm... Hope it buggers off soon!

Horace - does the bednest make it awkward to get in and out of bed?? Like do you and DH have to get in and out of the same side? (the things I think about!) Plus DH gets up at 6 for work... am I wishful thinking that he might disturb the baby? Haha x

I wasn't able to drop my wee into the doctors - they will answer the phone at 8am but civilians cannot get into the building until 8.20. I couldn't wait as I had a train to catch 40miles away!

I arrived at the train station to pick up my tickets and they couldn't find the booking. I spoke to the online help department twice yesterday to tell them my tickets hadn't arrived by post and was assured I could collect them the following morning. It took twenty five minutes to sort out by which time I'd missed the bloody train so I'm on a later one. I have some lovely nausea today to add to the mix but I can't be grumpy as I'm too happy about being knocked up and having symptoms currently delights me Smile

I'll tell my boss today and ask him to keep it on the qt and I'll speak to HR when I'm back from holiday. Thanks viroids!

Oh and this does mean I'll be carrying a vial of piss in a biohazard bag on the underground today Shock maybe I'll wave it around if I'm having trouble getting a seat - could manage a whole carriage to myself!

RPopz, a little bit awkward. I just got in halfway down my side and slid backwards!

Your DH won't disturb the baby any more than if it were sleeping in a Moses basket, I think.

And my appt didn't end as expected. I've got to be admitted for monitoring for unstable lie as if my waters went there is risk of cord prolapse. If baby goes and stays head down for over 24 hours I can go home til 39 weeks. If not I have to stay in til 38 weeks when I'll get an ELCS. The joy!

Constantly twizzling, RPopz. :-/

Furry, I hope you're ok. I bled with DD and it was a cervical ectropian which was the culprit. Fx yours is nothing serious too. Xx

It's ironic that there's nothing wrong with us, but I've got to be admitted. Not what I wanted really.

Report
Nessalina · 16/07/2014 18:00

Oh ladies - Rubbishness all round! Confused Really hope all is ok Scoob, fx it's nothing to worry about - if you've stopped bleeding now it was hopefully just a cervix splurge, that's what mine was. They'll look after you!
And really really hope your little one turns Horace! you'll die of boredom otherwise!! Blush

Report
FurryScoob · 16/07/2014 19:20

I've been admitted as a precaution, they've had a good route around & can't find a reason for the bleeding. It's stopped for now.

horace I hope it's cooler in your ward than it is here, I'm gonna melt overnite!

wilmabedrock · 16/07/2014 19:24

I'm not going in until tomorrow morning, Furry. Bit of a pain that they couldn't see what was going on. How long will you have to stay?

I'm dreading it being hot. Is yours a dedicated antenatal ward or mixed with postnatal?

And I know, Ness. I'm preparing for boredom!

Report
Pisghetti · 16/07/2014 19:43

You'll definitely get that cross stitch done Horace!

I've been looking at birth samplers but decided it's too early. I have four others in the queue once I'm done with the one I'm on which should take me up to term I think.

Hi sas I remember you! Welcome aboard! You're due 3 days after me...

scoob and horace hope you both are ok and not too hot and bored, are you in private rooms or are there some characters on your ward?

Report
FurryScoob · 16/07/2014 20:58

Hi sas, congratulations & well done on ur speedy graduation to us!

I think it's all antenatal on this ward horace
Definatly take your cross stitch with you, plenty of time to finish it now!

DP's phoned my boss & gone mental at her for the pressure I've been under doing 2 people's jobs. I'm a chef so even without lifting its still a physical job on my own. He told her I'd been admitted & no idea when I'd be back at work, she never even asked if I was ok.
