Just Shagging Grads Thread 10 - Roll Up, Roll Up all you graduated Viroids!!!

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 10th grads thread...celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed Grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

There is a stats thread here but its a zombie thread so enter at your own risk....... eeeeek

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 26th outing!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal here once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a secret facebook group, if you want to join, Pm me!

So, roll call below please, viroids! Smile

Thing is if it has 'wil' in the title I'll have to explain why to MrWil which is awkward.

Oh juni they sound rubbish and you sound just like me. I'm always the one on the fringes of a group. Are you still enjoying the class though? Is it like yoga based? My back is killing me. Having major cramps today and hoping it's because of that and not something more sinister.

My mum calls my bump Hilary as it's a unisex name. She refers to the future child as Hilary too as in "I'll be looking after Hilary and $nephew this time next year!" My SIL finds it hilarious.

Sorry about the sickness min, maybe it's just a bad day? And sorry about the back too wil. Hope that goes away soon. And high fives for being fringe people!

Feeling very lucky today as most of my symptoms are behaving themselves today, even my grindy pelvis. Busy weekend ahead so I'll see how that works out for me...

The Lazy Daisy is quite yoga-style. You come in and say how your week's been, then breathing techniques, some movements seated, then all fours, then standing or lying on your side. These are quite yoga style - cat, cobra etc but she explains how they help with pregnancy & birth. Then we all lie down while she does a relaxation thing. This is slightly different each week.

I'm quite a cynical cuss so while we're blowing our contractions out to sea I'm thinking, hmm, well if baby's breech I may never have a contraction! but it does help with believing in the process. Oh yes, she also does a bit explaining about different aspects of birth, like a 5 mins lecture, so what's so bad about back to back, how to encourage dilation etc.

I'm going to start the natal hypnotherapy CDs too which I hope will complement it. My partner's a massive sceptic about anything non-scientific so doesn't really believe in any "woo woo" stuff AT ALL although will listen to CDs etc to help me if I believe it.

EPIC POST

Does 'nano' or 'micro' fit with your surname for use IRL Wil ?

I have been SO hungry today. We had a staff BBQ. I don't eat meat so had a good excuse to skip the unappetising looking hog and burgers but had double helpings of quiche, potatoes and bread. With the pastry on the quiche that's a fine example of triple carbing there! Hungry again now....

Wil, I've been much cramped this time than with DD. Not sure I've been without period-style cramps for long at all (still getting them now).

Sorry your MS has returned, min. It's crap, isn't it? FWIW, mine came back today at 36+5. I'd not thrown up since about 9 weeks' pregnant, so that was an unpleasant surprise. Did you find anything that helped it? I ate shit loads of crisps to keep mine at bay last time (last til 17 weeks).

I see the consultant tomorrow. So by 3pm I should know if my date is changing or not. Hope it does really as I've had enough now. Even though I'm not mentally ready for it!

Can't beat a bit of carb loading, Pisghetti! :-)

Well my morning sickness disappeared after a day, I feel like I've lost symptoms so am worried. Tho I am knackered and still having period like pains (tho worrying it's something more sinister now). Am booked in for scan a week tomorrow so hopefully I'll see a heartbeat and it'll put my mind at ease for a while.

Thanks juni good review, I'm going to look and see what's available round here. Couldn't fit any classes in around work last time but I only work 3 days now so hopefully something will fit in. Sitting with a hot water bottle on back totally roasting.

I haven't really had any constant symptoms this time zyla except for sore boobs. I feel them about 20 times a day to check they're still sore Grin . Got told they were massive today! Really need to do some clothes shopping as nothing fits.

Been awake since 5 so I think I might go to bed.

Can I confess to another POAS this evening? Decent double line but started worrying about it not being very dark. What did I expect with an evening wee an hour after a pint of squash..??

I'm able to take some wee to the Dr tomorrow so hopefully I'll have an appointment some time soon.

I'm on 7, but 2 of those were OPKs (they didn't work as HPTs....).

One left in the pack I bought today so will give that a go next week then NO more.

Get to toddle about London tomorrow for the first time since I found out (I usually work there 1 day per week but haven't been for a few weeks).

A question. My boss is in London but he is leaving mid August. Before then I'll need at least one GP and one midwife visit. If morning sickness does kick in, I wouldn't expect time off but may be late in once or twice if it's anything like last time. I'm tempted to tell him tomorrow but ask for it to stay confidential for now as it is so early. I know he'll allow me the flexibility around appointments and late starts if he knows why. However he's due to handover to someone new in a couple of weeks and I'm not sure what to do then. It'll still be too early for it to be common knowledge but if my new boss doesn't know what's up then he'll just find himself with a new member of staff with questionable time keeping skills! Shall I tell my current boss and ask him to keep it to himself until it is time to hand over? Tell no one just yet and hope it'll all work out somehow? I'm off from just before my current boss leaves until just after (weeks 9-10) so could in theory just tell my new boss when I get back in week 11 but that wouldn't necessarily be the best introduction! Not sure what is best.

ZylaB · 16/07/2014 06:00

pis tell him! sounds like he'll be understanding with your appointments etc. just explain it's early and you want it keeping quiet, then tell him to please explain the situation to the new guy when he comes... This'll hopefully mean he explains that it's not an issue as well :)
