Just Shagging Grads Thread 10 - Roll Up, Roll Up all you graduated Viroids!!!

cookielove · 13/07/2014 19:23

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 10th grads thread...celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed Grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

There is a stats thread here but its a zombie thread so enter at your own risk....... eeeeek

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 26th outing!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal here once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a secret facebook group, if you want to join, Pm me!

So, roll call below please, viroids! Smile

My mum is a lovely women, but quite odd.
I'm actually bigger than both her and my nan (and still only 5ft1!) who appear to have managed it. She's worried about my perineum boak. I'll worry about that thanks!

Report
Pisghetti · 17/07/2014 18:26

Well now you know how to limber up your perineum - and your partner can help too!

Report
JuniDD · 17/07/2014 18:33

Hahaha! Indeed.

I mentioned it to him, he seemed to think it would be excellent foreplay. Men, eh?

I'm going to have nightmares about that picture!

Report
JuniDD · 17/07/2014 18:34

Maybe I"ll say that to her. "MrJuni and I are doing perineal massage twice a day, so please don't worry mother".

Report
ZylaB · 17/07/2014 18:44

Lol juni

Glad you're ok scoob and hope hospital isn't too bad horace

rpopz go ask your manager why it's not ok for her to do that job! but it is ok for you? Sounds horribly unfair.

I found ok my going part time has been cleared today, so 2 more full weeks then part time yay!

I've also lost any appetite for anything except the plainest arrowroot biscuits, couldn't even face scrambled eggs tonight...hmmm. I'm not throwing up much, just really don't fancy most foods.

HungryHorace · 17/07/2014 18:46

Oh, I bloody dare you to, Juni! :-)

Looks like I'm stuck here for a while as baby is transverse this evening.

Dr thinks I'll be having a section next week as she doesn't think position will stabilise. Ho hum!

JuniDD · 17/07/2014 19:06

Well, horace as you're stuck in hospital, and I'm seeing her tomorrow, I'll see what I can do to cheer you up. Wink

BTW, on maternity clothes, I had a peruse of the New Look maternity section today, they have some lovely stuff. I'm mostly sorted, unless it gets very cold in Sept/Oct so lucky I didn't see it til today!

HungryHorace · 17/07/2014 20:31

Can't wait to hear about her response!

New Look is good. I have loads from there. :-)

Hahaha... Juni - I made the mistake of googling perineal massage after someone on the Jan antenatal Fred mentioned it... I envisaged just some nice stroking of it on the outside... Ha!! I guess it's a good idea but... Not showed it to Mr Rpopz yet.... Hmm

Thanks for the support viroids. Am feeling a bit less ragey now. Today hasn't been great and that was just insult to injury really!! She's generally a pain in the ass. Comes in late, goes home early, takes hours on her breaks, spends most of her day chatting to people in corridors... basically does sweet f.a! And ever since she's been pg noones allowed to pull her up on anything. Job is not physical per se but it's mostly standing and walking (running) around. Not many elements of it involve a great deal of time sitting. The thing that's annoying me most is that everyone I've mentioned it to has said "oh yeah, she's been saying for a while she was going to swap with you" Angry If she'd just come to me and said: look, I feel really crappy at the no, would you mind if I ask to swap? - I would probably have said yes anyway! But instead she goes behind my back... and then doesn't even have the fucking decency to say thanks! I didn't have to agree to the swap... can't really go back on it now without looking petulant. Plus what is also fucking me off is that she is apparently not "too pregnant" to do the 12-15 hour double paid night shifts... (lone working so next to no opportunity for sitting down... Hmm )

ANYWAY.

Hope you're not going too bonkers in hospital Horace

Great news Furry - did they find out what it was in the end?

Just fallen in love with a pram... Smile

I need to work out when to tell my..uhm.. Learners at work. I'd have thought it was pretty obvious to those I see regularly, not drinking tea and now I've started disappearing to wee or throw up all the time. I'm trying not to until I'm at least 12 weeks but I'm sure one will work it out soon and they have nothing better to talk about, so as soon as they overhear staff talking about it, or guess, it'll go round like wildfire :p

Report
RPopz · 17/07/2014 21:38

I always said i'd never have a silver cross as they're enormous... this one is quite compact tho I think.

Haha just don't ever mention it Zy and see if any of them dare to ask Grin Wink

I might :)

I'd just wait until one of them mentions it Zyla. Need to tell my boss at some point but hardly ever see him. Pretty sure my hours are going to be cut soon though so I don't want to hurry that conversation up and make it happen sooner. Ah not looking forward to being skint again. The one bad thing about mat leave.

My friend had a silver cross and hated its bulkiness popz, but haven't seen the one you're talking about. Just make sure you go and have a play around with one before buying and check it's easy getting in and out of car boot etc (if you drive). I'm starting to find that job not so easy already. No idea how you're supposed to avoid lifting heavy things when you have a toddler.

Report
RPopz · 18/07/2014 09:40

We had a good play with one in Mothercare last night Wil Grin

Report
Pisghetti · 18/07/2014 13:18

I'm not sure the advice to rest and not lift heavy things really prepares you adequately for motherhood - it must be impossible with a toddler. I was pretty active through my last pregnancy but that came with a job in retail at Christmas time and not having a car.... DS would get really wiggly when I was walking around. It was like having a mad ferret under my jumper.

I seem to have lost a few pounds (thanks sobriety!) so far but I've been dreadfully lazy. I might have a bash at a parkrun tomorrow and as DS is away with his dad next week I'll suggest to DP we take advantage of the (hopefully) good weather and late evenings and get out and about.

A parkrun? Are you mental? Grin . I am such a sloth, I'm jealous of your ambition! Yeah I was really active throughout last pg too but have back pain already this time. Probably related to my slothdom!

Report
Pisghetti · 18/07/2014 14:53

I like parkrun! Grin The only bit that's crap is getting up early on a Saturday. I prefer a lie in..... I ran a marathon in May and have done absolutely sod all running since then. I don't feel bad about that - I was sick to the back teeth of it. But I think it's time to start keeping a hand in as I'm now in a desk job and drive everywhere. I've been turned down in the London marathon ballot for, I think, six or seven consecutive years - what's the odds I'll get in this year when I can't run it :-D

Crikey pis, impressive stuff!
I'm definitely a sloth.

Suddenly very tired so hope I can cope with my busy weekend ahead... Sad
