Hi all, and welcome SK. Good luck with your scan tomorrow.

Hope you're all having a nice day. Interesting hearing your opinions about visitors in the early days. I'm with you Lulu, I think I'll need to take some time to work out what I'm doing!

LulusMiniEgg · 07/07/2014 14:44

Ah have found my bump - it's moved south, I think my uterus has popped -farewell lady garden, see you in 6 months or so.... That is so disgusting, I'm sorry!!

Hello Sk28, good luck with your scan tomorrow, vvv exciting time x

lindamagoo · 07/07/2014 15:12

Keep I just wanted to pop on to say good luck with the cvs tomorrow, hope it gets done this time.

13 + 1 and I can't believe I'm saying this but we have got everything except clothes and a highchair already, obsessed or prepared? lol

cheshirem2b · 07/07/2014 15:32

linda that's impressive! We have a list of what we want and links to the items themselves but that's as far as we have got! Only things we have bought are a few baby clothes! Cuuuuuute!

Minibagel · 07/07/2014 15:37

Welcome SK I hope you have a great scan tomorrow

KeepOnPloddingOn · 07/07/2014 15:40

Linda thanks- and wow you areMEGA prepared!
Literally lolling at sara and lulu stretched out ear holes and bye bye lady gardens... So glam!

Saraswati · 07/07/2014 15:45

I've been thinking about the lady garden situation, those with DCs already, what did you do before you went into labour? I like to keep, ahem, trim but usually only go for a wax when I go on holiday as I find it pretty painful. When you're huge can you still reach for a trim/shave? or did you just not give a shite by that point?

lenleeds · 07/07/2014 15:47

Hello! I'm 11+6, had scan last week and all seemed fine. I've just had a message from Doctors today telling me I need to do a repeat urine test. I rang them back to ask why, but as could only speak to receptionist, not doctor, wasn't told why.

Has anyone had any experience of this? Should I be worried?

Thank you!

KeepOnPloddingOn · 07/07/2014 16:00

Sara - I always prefer the 'shaven haven' and I managed to do so right up until the end :)
Lenleeds- sounds like a possible water infection which are really common and easily treated ... I think that's all they test your urine for isn't it?

Saraswati · 07/07/2014 16:07

ooo keepon you brave girl, so itchy! glad to hear I might still be able to reach though, I don't think I could face the indignity of asking DH to do it for me!

Can you all tell I dont want to do any work today?!

Lenleeds I think they test urine for infection and protein or they could have just lost your sample or something? my gps seem to do that a lot. There must be some gross corner somewhere where all the forgotten wee pots hide out

lenleeds · 07/07/2014 16:09

Brilliant thank you! I just wish they'd explain things a bit better, it leads to so much unnecessary stress! I had a letter through last week with a consultants appointment, after telling me that I was going to be midwife led (it took 2 days to establish that it was because of my family medical history).

I keep convincing myself I have some terrible disease that's going to harm the baby. Irrational, I know!

Camsie30 · 07/07/2014 16:17

Ooh Linda that's amazing! I have an excel spreadsheet of everything I need and lots of pages bookmarked on my laptop. Can't wait to get the nursery done, but having a massive load of building work done next month so am waiting till after that. Looking online for inspiration is so fun and totally addictive!

MightyQuin1201 · 07/07/2014 16:22

I saw the little being today! Camsie, I was there at 12 and it was an amazing experience- I basically burst into tears when she (we're both a bit convinced she's a she at the moment) appeared on the screen waving! The guy said all was looking good for this stage and measured me at exactly 11 weeks today. The whole experience was wonderful and now the wait I guess. I have my nhs scan next Tuesday and then back at FMC on the 23rd. Both DH & I feeling overjoyed today though.

Good luck with your cvs keep Thanks

MightyQuin1201 · 07/07/2014 16:38

And good luck with this evening's Nuchal scan too Camsie

Minibagel · 07/07/2014 16:41

sara I couldn't see down there by the end so it was out of sight out of mind for me! I have been having regular waxes so far but not sure i'll keep them up. I justcan't shave it, it is so painful and scratchy for me when it grows back.

Congrats mighty!!

rumisyum · 07/07/2014 16:57

Ooh, hello! Thought I'd lost you ladies for a moment there. I keep doing all the napping at the moment, so not keeping up very well. zzzzzzzzz

Mighty, what lovely news! So pleased for you. Smile

Good luck for the other scans today! And I hope your CVS goes well, keepon.

Crikey at all this organised talk. We don't even know for sure where we'll be living by the time baby arrives, so we're holding off buying anything till after a possible move. At least for now. We'll see how long we can hold out.

Has anyone else here been doing the Tracy Anderson pregnancy workouts? Just got mine this week and my word, my butt aches. Also got our 20w scan appointment through today - very exciting. Smile

rumisyum · 07/07/2014 16:57

Oops, 12+6 today.

Haha Saras - had to laugh at your lady garden post!! I've taken to growing mine out since I got pg... after 6 months of bald foof for ttc purposes Wink DH asked me a bit ago if I was going to trim it and I was like "NOPE! Grin " And he said "what, not even for when you go into labour?!". I said to him - do you seriously think I will give a flying fuck about trimming down there when I am in agonising labour!!!? Haha... bloody men.

My belly button is also stretched out a bit suddenly! Really freaked me out when I discovered this on Friday night! Confused

Hope everyone's well - only skim read today xx

14+2

RPopz · 07/07/2014 17:58

Len - in all probability your wee got lost or someone put it in the wrong kind of pot so the lab can't process it (happens ALL the time). They wouldn't repeat it for an infection - they'd just give you antibiotics straight off. HTH x

Ikkleme · 07/07/2014 18:06

Can i ask you all a mildly stupid question, maybe for not first time mums.
When bf do you swap between boobs? I think it would be strange not too coz surely you'll have one boob fuller than the other... Am I think correctly

Minibagel · 07/07/2014 18:18

ikkle im no expert but yes you swap between as and when you feel one is 'empty' (altho they are never truly empty, they just feel softer)

KeepOnPloddingOn · 07/07/2014 18:18

Ikle- yeh u swap :)

Sara- I shave daily / every other day so it never has time to grow and itch!? I don't have lots of hair there naturally so maybe it's that... Sorry for the itinery on my foo foo ladies!!!

Minibagel · 07/07/2014 18:19

You need to feed the baby off both to build your supply, but it you can't from one breast for medical reasonsyou can successfully bf from one apparently

Camsie30 · 07/07/2014 18:25

Great news Mighty! Xx
