Oh my g...... I'm so tired and DH has just decided we're watching a film! I'll be snoring on the settee in about 20 mins!

fancyacupoftea · 28/06/2014 20:52

No idea about the horse mucking out Spotti! I'd say google it or start a thread somewhere - someone is bound to know!

I watched this about how to tie the boba and it doesn't look too bad!

toots123 · 28/06/2014 20:53

Loving the baby chat! We went into m&p today. Fell in love with nursery furniture :) dh was pushing prams around. He looked cute

had sainsburys low alcohol cider tonight... AMAZING

MademoiselleG · 28/06/2014 20:56

Boba sling looks nice!

Gosh I didn't remember the ergo baby being so expensive! Ours must have been in the sale. We got it in Germany while on holiday and it was around 70€. Not in my favourite colour though: maroon / burgundy. At least it always reminds me of red wine!

fancyacupoftea · 28/06/2014 20:56

Which furniture do you like Toots?

(sorry, you can tell I'm procrastinating from work in that I won't bugger off).

My parents told me today "Oh but of course you'll be using our cot" - it's a massive baby swingy fairly antique cot thing that apparently "every baby in the family has slept in" but I'd totally forgotten existed and have no feelings (no positive ones, anyway) about whatsoever. Had already decided on getting a Bednest. Now have that typical 'upset the family vs do what I want' dilemma.

MademoiselleG · 28/06/2014 20:58

Bloody hell, neighbours are barbecuing mackerel or sardines or something. It F***G stinks in the whole house! Think I can throw a bucket of water on it and blame pregnancy super-smell?

fancyacupoftea · 28/06/2014 21:07

Ewwwww you definitely can Mademoiselle! Better still, throw wee on them.

MademoiselleG · 28/06/2014 21:09

Well, I have a full bladder, some leftover wee from dd in the travel potty and I'm sure dh can be persuaded.

This could work.

fancyacupoftea · 28/06/2014 21:10

I'm struggling to find a reason why you wouldn't throw a bucket of wee on them...

toots123 · 28/06/2014 21:18

This stuff fancy www.mamasandpapas.com/product-rialto-3-piece-set-natural-oak/rari65100/type-i/

Such a great deal too. Way too tempted to order it. Its too soon though!

freneticfox · 28/06/2014 21:35

Rough night last night, been curled up on the sofa most of today. Anyone else finding they feel more queasy at night? So far I'm perfectly fine in the morning/afternoon - but as soon as 6pm rolls around I feel really wobbly and by 9pm I'm feeling as though I'm on a spinning fairground ride.

I graze throughout the day, having trouble figuring out why my body hates evenings...

I've started a baby wish list on amazon. My Mum and MIL are already dividing up who will buy what!

fancyacupoftea · 28/06/2014 21:39

YES to evening sickness Frenetic. I get it after dinner and wonder if it;s because I eat too much. Must be linked to tiredness too.

freneticfox · 28/06/2014 21:44

fancy I'm thinking it must be tiredness, I suffer with chronic fatigue so I'm putting it down to that. A friend of mine would puke from midnight to 4am most nights until week 14, I'm hoping my dumbass body isn't trying to copy!

MademoiselleG · 28/06/2014 22:01

Definitely rebranded my ms as evening sickness here too! Good luck fox .

Toots this is definitely a great deal! How far along are you?

toots123 · 28/06/2014 22:34

Im only 10+2 madem our scan is Thursday as going by lmp im 11+2

RetroHippy · 28/06/2014 22:48

We had The Best Evening!! Babies R Us, Mamas n Papas, IKEA then TGIs. That's how we roll these days Grin

Didn't buy anything baby related. At not yet 10 weeks it's possibly a little too early. But I did have an amazing burger with sweet potato fries, and Jack Daniels chicken strips and mozarella dippers to start. I'm now feeling fat and a little bit ill. But that's pretty much the norm these days.

DH does now want one of these

Just £200. We'll have one for each room. Hmm

fancyacupoftea · 28/06/2014 22:49

Not quite sure how I feel about that thing Retro!

Glad you had a good evening though - sounds brilliant!

RetroHippy · 28/06/2014 23:12

I know fancy. I'm trying my hardest to avoid filling my house with too much 'plastic baby crap'. But unfortunately DH is all about the tech, so if it's got wires he's there. He was also drooling over the wi-fi video baby monitors that link to your phone.

Why can't he like the cheap things?! I'm googling ways to make reusable nappies for free Grin we couldn't be more different!

CallingAllEngels · 29/06/2014 09:17

Retro that meal sounds lush. What were you linking to? It just takes me to the m&p homepage (probably cos I'm forrin).

Scared myself yesterday by fainting. Managed to catch myself as I could feel it coming on and threww myself on ds's bed (was in the middle of changing him and luckily shouted for dh who was in the next room). Going to phone mw 2mrw morning to get bp and iron levels checked. Work are being arseholes about my workload this week. I've been saying it's too much and they're sticking their heads in tne sand. Not a single other member of stff is being expected to do what I am, and I'm fucking pg! Wankers.

Spotti · 29/06/2014 10:35

Oh, that doesn't look too bad actually fancy. Still a bit fiddly but I bet the fact that you can just get on with stuff once baby is in the sling (and not have to physically hold them in your arms all the time) outweighs the fiddly bit of wriggling them in there in the first place.

OP posts:
PolytheneGirl · 29/06/2014 10:40

I'm going to go the the sling library! Grin Who knew such a thing existed or that I'd be this excited about it!

PolytheneGirl · 29/06/2014 10:43

I really like the look of the Mei Tai! Any thoughts?

fancyacupoftea · 29/06/2014 11:08

Oooh just seen that there is actually a sling library where I live. I do want one from day one though so maybe I'll just get the Boba and hope for the best (then pop to the sling library if I don't like it).

The Mei Tai does look good and I love all the colours it comes in!

I'm really missing alcohol today. Not that I want a drink now, but it seems I've been bombarded with pictures of my favourite booze this morning and I miss it.

Zermatt · 29/06/2014 11:15

Love the sling, cot and pram chat! It will unfortunately be about 40 degrees here when I have Bubaganoush, so I want to find a really light cotton sling that won't be too hot for baby of me.

Some people here I know have recommended strider prams, can you get them in the UK?

House smells lush, am cooking coq au vin in the slow cooker, in the olden days it used to be less coq and more vin, slurp slurp.

fancyacupoftea · 29/06/2014 11:23

I just googled 'strider prams' and all the sites were Australian ones Zermatt! What are they?

Mmmmm Coq Au Vin is one of my favourites.

Loving 'bubaganoush'!
