How far along are you broody? I'd chase it up.

broodysnoopstie · 16/06/2014 16:40

7 weeks according to early scan 8 according to lmp

MundayCakes85 · 16/06/2014 16:47

Glad to hear the doctor took pity on you Broody I'm sure a lot of things are ok to take during pregnancy but it's better to be safe. Hope you start feeling better soon

broodysnoopstie · 16/06/2014 16:48

Thanks Munday x

hanflan · 16/06/2014 16:48

broody I would chase now! I think most people have their booking appt between 7 and 9 weeks ish, so you should at least have an appt date by now!

broodysnoopstie · 16/06/2014 16:49

ooh do you think Han? I don't want to be annoying and then tell me to be patient!

MundayCakes85 · 16/06/2014 16:50

Fruity flapjacks in the oven, I'm starting to food stock now before I get too huge, lazy and angry in the third trimester! DH is useless in the kitchen and I don't fancy loving on beans and eggs on toast for a month Grin

lindamagoo · 16/06/2014 17:08

I've just had a mini heart attack! Just realised we are going away to the caravan on Thursday and won't be back until Monday and I don't get a signal there so will have no MN all weekend, arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

broodysnoopstie · 16/06/2014 17:08

Linda what will we do without you!

mrshjb · 16/06/2014 17:10

I phoned the midwife directly and they gave me an appointment over the phone based on when I said I would be around 8 weeks. Suppose if I had of used their dates I could have had my appointment a week ago. I'd definitely chase!

Lovely scan pic :)

mrshjb · 16/06/2014 17:11

Sorry didn't tag anyone in that. Hopefully you all know who I am referring to!!

lindamagoo · 16/06/2014 17:22

More like how will I cope with you all broody Hmm It's going to be strange, oh doesn't listen to my baby talk Hmm We went to the caravan this time last year, we were ttc then and it was ov time but we had family with us so were able to sneak off for a quckie in the midst of a thunderstorm like teenagers, lol, there'll be none of that this time Hmm

broodysnoopstie · 16/06/2014 17:35

Mrs H I'll gladly take that info Thanks.
I'm going to call tomorrow

Lin hope you have a nice time though. Smile

PolytheneGirl · 16/06/2014 17:35

htbftm · 16/06/2014 17:50

Thx for the new thread spotti and for being our toe guide zermatt lol! Fab scan pic knotty how lovely! I'd ring and pester broody. I had my booking in appt at 5 wks because I couldn't do the next 3 Mondays! I had a long wait till my 12 wk scan tho!! My docs prescribed trimethoprim for a uti, but getting very mixed msgs online about its safety in 2nd trimester. Not really sure what to do... Any advice?

fancyacupoftea · 16/06/2014 17:56

AM I IN THE RIGHT PLACE?

fancyacupoftea · 16/06/2014 17:57

I'M LOST

fancyacupoftea · 16/06/2014 17:57

THIS IS 'AM I BEING UNREASONABLE?', YES?

RetroHippy · 16/06/2014 18:00

I'd definitely nag broody. I've just had my booking in appt at just shy of 8 weeks. I get the impression they need a bit of time to get their arses in gear for a scan booking! I went to the docs about 10 days after my bfp, they wrote my name down and the midwife got back to me within a week, for an appt about two weeks after.

My boobs hurt sooooooo much! I may have given the game away today. In a meeting with another member of staff, sat down too quickly and jiggled the girls. I winced and she noticed and commented. I fobbed her off too quickly with "Oh hormones," Then realised she might then think i was pg, so then added "pms," with an eye roll. Rumbled?

My TA reckons you can tell a little. We had a giggle when I told her it was just gas and she's going to avoid walking behind me on the stairs! I have switched to my fat pants Sad The waistband doesn't cut in, so it stops me feeling so bloated!

RetroHippy · 16/06/2014 18:01

Grin fancy

AIBU to ask that Nutella should be free on prescription for pregnant women?

fancyacupoftea · 16/06/2014 18:03

toots123 · 16/06/2014 18:08

broodysnoopstie · 16/06/2014 18:12

FANCY AND RETRO YANBU

thanks for advice I will chase

re prescribed drugs does it say anything about it on nhs? just my opinion but I think I'd trust doc over internet

Spotti · 16/06/2014 18:37

Retro - nope, not unreasonable at all. In fact, I'd started on the gluten free/lactose free version waaaaaaay before I got my BFP Wink. But I think they should put cheese on the NHS too - yep, I seem to be following in your footsteps ladies! Being lactose intolerant seriously reduces my cheese choice though...ATM I have lactofree cheddar or lactofree mature cheddar >rolls eyes
