Definitely not too early for pregnancy brain Spotti!! I'm sure I ve lost half my brain cells to my little bundle already!

lindamagoo · 16/06/2014 18:50

Aw Spotti, baby brain and the heat, go with those excuses Smile

Spotti · 16/06/2014 19:01

So not just that I'm a bit thick today? Grin

Spotti been giggling away at the Penis Dragon thread saga! I guarantee it's far better than I could have managed Grin

lindamagoo · 16/06/2014 19:23

Defo not thick Spotti, lol

fancyacupoftea · 16/06/2014 19:42

Is anyone else worried that half of us are over on one of the other penis dragon threads having the time of their lives?

barmybunting · 16/06/2014 19:50

Thanks for the new thread(s) Spotti :). We will take over mumsnet yet, good work. I blame the bean stealing brain cells already, pregnancy/baby brain kicks in from week 1 I have decided!

Knotty Lovely scan! Did he/she give you a happy little wriggle?

Who else has scans coming up over the next week or so? I think a lot of you have them due soon, I have lost track of who is when!

My 20 week scan is 2 weeks today; DH and I are having a big debate about whether or not we are going to find out the gender. So much of me wants to know but I don't want everyone else to know and I can't keep secrets! DH wants to know too, so I hope I don't crack at the scan and ask them to tell us.

Broody definitely phone the midwife re. booking in appointment. You should have heard by now.

barmybunting · 16/06/2014 19:58

Back on the food chat, does anyone have any good recipes to use up pears? I have piles of the things from my neighbour here but have no idea what to do with them!

Knottyknitter · 16/06/2014 20:01

Barmy - yes it gave a wriggle, but I had to give it a wriggle to try to nudge it into position, kept looking at the USS probe and waving, while the sonographer was trying to get it in profile for the nuchal scan! We may have a bit of a stubborn one!

fancyacupoftea · 16/06/2014 20:05

Oooh Barmy dilemma! What are his reasons for wanting to know now? I'd say pick a flaw in them and then win that way (I'm very good at arguments).
For pears, you could have a baby, wean it, and feed it loads of pureed pears? Oh, wait....
Pear tart? Pear crumble? Poached pear? Oh what a lovely pear? Peary Potter and the Goblet of Pears? One Pear Every Minute? Pear Wars: The Pear Strikes Back?

MademoiselleG · 16/06/2014 20:14

Fancy you're on fire!! Really made me giggle!!!

Glad I found you all, phew, I was clicking away opening more pages on my phone than it could cope with and now that I think I'm in the right place, I'll settle down and watch what's going to happen to all these lovely pears...

I made pear jam last year, some with armagnac (or brandy), some with apple and cinnamon and some with ginger. Surprisingly easy to make once you've convinced dh to do all the peeling! Wink

Treaclepie19 · 16/06/2014 20:34

I found you!!! :D

[Sneaks off because not meant to be here... oops]

MrsBeeBeeBee · 16/06/2014 20:46

Hello!!

I think i missed penisdragon-gate!

Everyone present and accounted for?

6 weeks today. Yaaaaawn. Going very slowly.

barmybunting · 16/06/2014 20:47

Knotty, yay for wriggly Knottybaby! Your description of him or her waving made me laugh, keeping you on your toes already! Isn't it amazing to think with all of this growing they are doing, personality traits are being formed too?

Fancy, you are on fire! I am impressed Smile. Pear tart sounds like a good idea, yum!

DH just wants to know because he is so excited! He is like a bouncy little boy waiting for baby to arrive, and desperately falling asleep with his hands on bump every night hoping to feel baby move. He has been such a star looking after me in all of this sickness that part of me is weakening and wanting to let him find out. The problem is that he is so damn fair and if I say I really don't want to, he will say that is fine and not push it whereas I argue and argue until I get my own way. I have suggested we say to the sonographer we don't want them to tell us, but not to tell us to turn away when they look in said area as if we see something and have an idea, I am happy having an idea, but I don't want to know for definite until it is born as I want DH to tell me what it is. I have two weeks of debating and may well give in if I am not careful!

Madmoiselle, cinnamon and pear jam sounds yum! I like that plan too... Can I start a pear factory tomorrow instead of going to work?

Treacle, you do belong here! We are saving your seat and want to see you back very, very soon! Xx

lindamagoo · 16/06/2014 20:50

"TMI ALERT" Freaking right out here girls! Like proper scared! Just been to the loo and a bit of bloody looking flesh came out of me! Can a polyp come away on it's own? Should I have a quick feel to see if it's still there?

MademoiselleG · 16/06/2014 21:00

Shit Linda, that sounds scary! Is it a bit that came out and left your body or is it like a prolapse (or what I imagine prolapse might be?!) and is still belonging to your body?

Sorry - that sounds both gross AND dim. But I'm genuinely unsure...

barmybunting · 16/06/2014 21:05

Linda, I am afraid I don't know anything about it either. Are you bleeding? I would phone 111 to have a chat with someone for reassurance.

lindamagoo · 16/06/2014 21:07

It's a bit that's actually came out of my body, not a prolapse. I've just braved it and had a wee feel inside and I can't feel the polyp that was there! It must be that, there's no bleeding and my cervix is still high and closed. I'm a sweaty/paranoid mess now though

Treaclepie19 · 16/06/2014 21:09

Thanks barmy :)

Linda, phone 111 for reassurance xxx

RetroHippy · 16/06/2014 21:11

Have you kept it? Take it to the docs. If nothing else, it'll be funny to gross them out. It certainly sounds like the polyp. If you google pics of polyps it's disgusting, I'd be glad to have it gone!

RetroHippy · 16/06/2014 21:12

Not meaning to make you feel bad then. I had some weird tissues stuff come out of me the month I got my weird positive. I'm still not convinced it wasn't a chemical, but I do think it was womb lining. Was pretty grim, but I like to think it cleaned me out for bean to stick Smile

MademoiselleG · 16/06/2014 21:20

Eew Linda, scary crap. Definitely ring 111 and/or walk into your nearest EPU for a reassurance scan!

I'm angry tonight. Angry with SIL and MIL for various boring reasons. Might start an AIBU thread. Just fuming. Might eat a whole tub of ice cream to make it pass. Extreme, moi?!

lindamagoo · 16/06/2014 21:24

Just waiting on nhs24 calling me back. Lol Retro I have kept it but I'm more looking forward to grossing oh out than the doctor Grin It has to be the polyp if I can't feel it anymore, right?

barmybunting · 16/06/2014 21:29

Well done on the feel Linda, that sounds reassuring. Let us know what the doctor says.

RetroHippy · 16/06/2014 22:19

I have a tuft!

About four hairs on my forehead, just below the hairline. Not pube dark, but not that pale fuzzy stuff you get there normally. I was expecting hair growth. I was even expecting it in weird places. But now it's looking like I'll be spending the next 8 months with a forehead 'tache!

Oh, woe is me...
