Officially off chicken. It tastes like I licked a baking tray. Yuck.

On the plus side, Tesco had 3 different types of Spotti-safe cheeses biscuits so I obviously bought them all! One of them is Blue Cheese flavour...not a fan of blue cheese but these are rather yummy. Would be even better in a dip of some sort >kicks self for not buying houmous earlier<

Apparently the new doctors don't do ring-up-in-the-morning-and-we'll-make-excuses-about-why-we-can't-fit-you-in thing (we moved here in September but haven't needed to use the new GPs yet), they just have a morning drop in service where you turn up between certain times and will be seen in order of arrival. Annoyingly they don't do them tomorrow and I missed today's session sooooo it's looking like it will be a Thursday appointment to make it all official. Eeeek!

Will it be weird if I POAS at home before I go, just to reassure myself that I AM pregnant?!

Han my doc just said congrats and referred me to mw x

hanflan · 17/06/2014 11:34

So, bit of a boring waste of a morning off work? haha :)

lindamagoo · 17/06/2014 11:35

Just spoke to a nurse at EPU and she said a polyp shouldn't fall off unless irritated by sex or a uti, something like that, I don't have a uti and not had sex for a while so she doesn't think it's that. But all she said was "try not to worry and relax" em excuse me? A bit of my insides fell out course I'm going to worry, hope the doctor is more reassuring this afternoon

MrsBeeBeeBee · 17/06/2014 12:53

Oh Linda that doesn't sound very helpful.
Hope you get more answers this afternoon
I'm not googling polyp and have seen my own mucus plug. Hahaha.

I had asthma clinic with nurse last week so she did my GP pregnancy check in and midwife referral.

freneticfox · 17/06/2014 13:25

My super-human sense of smell kicked in as I walked into a shoppign complex and smelled the Boots perfume counter before I even saw the storefront.

That... was not pleasant.

freneticfox · 17/06/2014 13:25

shopping*

I'm so traumatised I can't type.

MrsBeeBeeBee · 17/06/2014 13:32

Hahaha, could be worse frenetic.

Mine kicked in yesterday when I was just enjoying my yummy breakfast and my lovely 2 year old climbed up on to my knee having evidently just had a poo. I actually wretched and safe to safe I was not up for finishing my breakfast

freneticfox · 17/06/2014 13:39

I also had a bit of an emotional blip yesterday... for the most part I'm over my emetophobia, but I'm still having a certain level of anxiety at the thought of throwing up (doesn't bother me if others are sick though). My midwife said that if I was going to have a 'sicky' pregnancy it would likely kick in this week (from 6-7 weeks) and I cried most of the night, convinced I was going to wake up with HG.

I know a lot of women are really lucky with sickness/nausea but I can't bring myself to hope that I might be one of them!

MrsBeeBeeBee · 17/06/2014 13:48

Oh hun, I forgot you were recovering from emetophobia. Must be a scary time but hopefully you'll be a lucky one. I has no sickness last time.

freneticfox · 17/06/2014 13:52

I seem to feel my most ropey at night time, but there's a chance it's anxiety as one of my worst fears always used to be waking up randomly in the middle of the night and getting sick everywhere. It's an awful phobia to live with, at least if I was scared of spiders I could send DH out on a crusade to avenge me, but it's not like I can say 'hey, sweetie, feel sick for me?'

MrsBeeBeeBee · 17/06/2014 13:57

Just keep nibbling! Really bland biscuits or crackers I found good last time as I only ever started to feel a bit nauseous when I was hungry.

Or wotsits. My god I ate a lot of wotsits. Haha.

freneticfox · 17/06/2014 14:20

I'm going to end up with shares in Tesco own brand ginger nuts. Any other brand seem to be a little too sweet, but Tesco's ones are just the right amount of sweet and that ginger 'kick'. If only there were healthy as well...

Zermatt · 17/06/2014 15:01

Those sea sickness bands are great too as are ginger anti nausea tablets and getting lots of rest

sazzlehopes · 17/06/2014 15:21

Right so we are defo all over here now!
Linda - hope you get reassured at the docs later, and MrsG - hope things go ok for you too.

Munday think you asked on the other thread how i was! Good thanks, we are the same weeks aren't we. So I have a nice big bump now. I feel fairly neat though still and able to do everything. I'm still a bit in denial though that there is really only 15 weeks left. So what's that - 3 months roughly? Feels like I should be more organised or something.

We are about to embark on some smallish house renovations too which means me and the 3yr old will have to move into my parents for 2 weeks mid july. I'm looking forward to the work being done, but not the upheaval and the mess!!

freneticfox · 17/06/2014 16:24

My sea bands are never off my wrists! They're fantastic. Even if it's placebo-type effect I care not. THEY ROCK.

As a recovering phobic though I'm REALLY struggling with the idea that nausea will intensify over the period of a few weeks. It terrifies me to the point I question if I can do it :(

MrsGingerbread · 17/06/2014 17:11

Thanks sazzle - they were very nice at the hospital, and they are happy that I don't have symptoms of ectopic, which is great to hear.

They did run a blood test and they have asked me to go back in on Thursday to get it re-run.

Apparently 'lingering BFPs' is a real 'thing', something to do with the pituitary gland. Trust me to have something unusual. He is genuinely interested though! :)

lindamagoo · 17/06/2014 17:29

Just back from the doctors, she examined me and it's defo the polyp that has came away, she can see exactly where it was attached and said it's very common for the smaller ones to come off themselves and doesn't understand why the nurse at EPU said they can't

RetroHippy · 17/06/2014 18:00

Yey linda! You showed that polyp!

Glad it's sorted and you know what it was. Hopefully no more worrying bleeding either then?

lindamagoo · 17/06/2014 18:10

Retro I knew it had to be that, what else could it have been? And yep the doc said there should be no more bleeding now, OH is very happy about that Grin

fancyacupoftea · 17/06/2014 18:22

Well screw the silly nurse who said it wasn't likely to be the polyp! AND WOOHOO IT WAS THE POLYP! I officially declare the Case of The Mysterious Bloody Fanny Flesh closed. Another successful case for the Penis Dragon Super Sleuths.

School trip today. Spent 90% of the time trying to fart discreetly. I think I succeeded.

Frenetic sorry you're having a rough time. What strategies did you use to recover from your phobia last time?

CallingAllEngels · 17/06/2014 18:37

Click click click...found you!

Just off to read through new thread (already 5 pages long!).

PolytheneGirl · 17/06/2014 18:41

Fancy can I join your windy club. I just belched and DS frowned at me and said "Mommy, you should say pardon me!", I said "sorry, it wasn't me, it was the baby" he accepted this no questions asked while DH sat shaking his head. I think I've found the perfect scapegoat!

Glad it was the polyps Linda. Bloody stupid nurse!

I've been so poorly since yesterday morning. I'm just starting to feel a bit better now. I bloody HATE being diabetic! Sad

freneticfox · 17/06/2014 18:43

fancy - I've been through CBT which completely 'cured' the part of my phobia involving others - totally ok with other people being sick now. I also recently completed a programme called Thrive, which focuses on improving coping mechanisms and it's mostly worked really well. I didn't however, expect to fall pregnant in our first month of trying (my GP even said she'd be surprised). So a bit emotionally jarred I guess.

Love your turn of phrase by the way, sitting here chuckling at Penis Dragon Super Sleuths. I smell a sequel.

broodysnoopstie · 17/06/2014 18:54

hooray it was the dastardly Polyp!
