This is quite a good explanation of both tests:

Thank you. Waiting for a call back at some point today from the duty doctor at my gp. It's getting worse and is no longer just when I wipe but still browny so all hopes pinned on old blood.

Minibagel · 27/05/2014 08:36

Fingers firmly crossed for you pass x

bedsidemanor · 27/05/2014 08:42

Fingers crossed for you too pass - hope the doctor gets back to you soon!

Thanks, calling - we will indeed have to have a future benelux meet-up! DH works at an international school here too - hot beds for gossip Smile

fancyacupoftea · 27/05/2014 08:46

Fingers crossed Pass, hope the doctor refers you today so you can get some reassurance that everything is fine.

Good luck in your scan today Sunshine! The hunger is awful isn't it? I've been on the Jacob's cream crackers.

Glad to see you popping in mslad, hope you're feeling a lot better about things. Gutted for you that you were put back so far though!

I want decaf tea and cereal but we're out of milk. DH won't mind me waking him up and sending him, will he?

PassTheAnswers · 27/05/2014 08:54

Hmm. Dr pretty much just said that if you are going to mc then there is nothing we can do about it. Which I know is true but doesn't make it any more reassuring! Was only when I mentioned that I had similar experience last time that he was even willing to get me in for an early scan but he's got one for me for this morning. Dh is going to have ds so on my own this time :(

I've got an early dating scan via the NHS next week (which I guess will now be cancelled) but thinking I should have just left it til then. Dh's view was if it stops you worrying yourself sick then call the dr this am. But feeling very time-wastery :(

Starbright24 · 27/05/2014 09:00

Good luck pass. I hope you have good news and that your worries are put to rest.

Fancy - I'm sure he'll love to get you those things :) isn't it what men are here for at this time? (My oh might possibly disagree)

Pass just do what you need to reassure yourself. Everything crossed for you xx

sunshineandbiscuits · 27/05/2014 10:09

Fancy as far as I'm concerned, Jacob's cream crackers are currently a major food group Smile

Good luck with your scan today pass. I'm really hoping everything goes well for you x

Only a couple of hours until my scan now. I admit I'm getting a bit nervous!

Saraswati · 27/05/2014 10:10

pass good luck tomorrow and don't feel like a time waster! you need to know what's going on and most people in your situation would do exactly the same.

I managed to have one day off from ms, thought my meds were a magic cure but the last two days have been pretty bad. I thought after taking them for 4 days they would start working but I was sick 3 times yesterday have already been sick twice this morning and feeling constantly nauseous. DH has given me a deadline of Thursday for some improvement and then he's marching me back to the gp to see if they can give me something else. I'm reluctant to go and want to try and hold out until 12 weeks to see if I improve but he's really worried so I'm going to go back on Thursday if I'm no better mostly just to shut DH up!!

9 weeks today and I read somewhere that 9 weeks is the peak for ms as the placenta develops or something, very glad to have got this far, but I'm bricking it for my private scan on sat, I really hope this hasn't all been for nothing.

madrigals thanks sorry to hear you're ill, rest up and take it easy and I hope you will feel better soon.

I've been furiously googling mmc because I am a crazy person and convincing myself not to get my hopes up. I'm normally quite a rational and calm person, even quite optimistic, but I swear pregnancy has done something weird to my brain. I think DH needs to disconnect the internet until I have this baby!!

Mslad · 27/05/2014 12:02

Good luck today Pass, I have everything crossed for you x

Thanks fancy it feels like I've been given 2 extra weeks of first trimester, but I suppose it could have been a lot worse.

Good luck sunshine

Welcome Livvy I feel the same, I am so unbelivably tired. I'm sitting at my desk worryied I'm about to fall asleep on my computer. Think I may get fired I'm so unproductive these days Hmm

MademoiselleG · 27/05/2014 13:01

Good luck Pass and Sunshine for your scans, I really want to hear your good news!!

MademoiselleG · 27/05/2014 13:02

And welcome Livvy - wow at being on dc3 already, supermum! I have a 2.5yo dd and to think that you have an 8mo as well...wow!BrewBiscuit

MelMc73 · 27/05/2014 13:06

Hi all....well yesterday was a total write-off. I did absolutely NOTHING!! Felt so sick - it was horrible. Had to keep eating bags of crisps to keep the nausea at bay lol. Feeling much better today though and back in the office....um....working....sort of!!

Had a couple of light brown spots yesterday afternoon but nothing since. Even managed to DTD this morning....first time since BFP! Poor DH was feeling very lonely and I felt very guilty!

Welcome to livvylongpants (love the name!)....I am really tired too!

Welcome to flirty too.

saraswati and madrigals sorry to hear you guys have been so ill and fx it improves soon.

sunshine crackers and cheese is my go-to snack at the moment as well! Just seems to hit the spot. I brought some lovely soup in to work today but don't fancy it so I went for a carb (and calorie!!) fest sandwich from morrisons instead Blush....feeling much better lol.

Has anyone gone off fruit? I usually eat at least 2 or 3 pieces a day but having to force myself at the moment Hmm

pass hope everything okay for you at the gp's and that you manage to get that referral.

blizy · 27/05/2014 13:18

Hi ladies can I tentatively join in please? I had my BFP yesterday, I should be roughly 5+2 weeks. I have the dr later this afternoon.

This will be my 3rd pregnancy, my first resulted in a still birth at 41 weeks in 2011, I had. MC at 6 weeks last month so I'm hoping and praying this is my take home baby.
I am feeling rather queasy and my boobs have hurt since 7dpo.

Monstamio · 27/05/2014 13:24

Wow you ladies can talk! I have one weekend off and you're already 5 pages into a new thread... Marking place while I catch-up... Smile

fancyacupoftea · 27/05/2014 13:31

So sorry about your first to pregnancy Blizy. It's lovely to have you here though so got everything crossed that this is the one.
