Thank you fancy. It all feels very surreal at the moment. I will be having an early scan around the 7/8 week mark. So it's just a case of holding tight until then.
How is your pregnancy going so far, how far along are you?

Saraswati · 27/05/2014 14:09

Welcome blizy so sorry to hear what you've been through, we are here for hand holding and mentalling I hope we can all see each other through successful pregnancies :)

mel fruit? What's that again? I've gone from being a very healthy veggie to eating nothing that isn't a white carb! I feel awful and have the worst skin of my life but I can only stomach potato, bagels or tuc biscuits at the moment so I'm going with it. I figure it's better than eating nothing!

Feeling a bit more human after taking some more cyclizine then having a plain bagel for lunch. Although the cyclizine is giving me the worst indigestion, I'm swigging gaviscon from the bottle, it's a bit obvious at work :s

PassTheAnswers · 27/05/2014 14:10

Hope everything goes ok for you blitzy.

Staff at EPAU were lovely. As expected, it was a bit early to see much but it confirmed a single yolk sac in the right place and no obvious reason for bleeding. Rescan on 9th. They said that they couldn't predict whether it was going to end in a mc but again no signs to say it was on the cards if that makes sense?

PomeralLights · 27/05/2014 14:15

Hi blizy fx for a take home baby, sorry about your earlier problems. It's hard waiting but exciting too!
pass that sounds like positive news :) glad it went ok

PomeralLights · 27/05/2014 14:18

And lol at the fruit mel and sara last fruit I tried was an apple last week and it made me violently sick! This is deffo a carbs baby :) doc said as long as I can keep the pregnancy vits down it doesn't matter about not eating fruit/veg

Pass, all sounds encouraging for you. What's is it with carbs I have turned into a carb fiend, I am surviving on mothers pride white bread toasted and smothered with butter.

PassTheAnswers · 27/05/2014 14:49

Carbs are good. I demolished about 6 small rolls with honey and butter yesterday. Carbs and fat.

Sat in the waiting room at the physio at lunch and someone had a hot chocolate, completely turned my stomach, Bleurgh. Better not go off chocolate this time, that would be a disaster!

fancyacupoftea · 27/05/2014 14:57

Beans on toast for lunch was amazing. I have the carb cravings and the hunger with only mild nausea but there must be something about wanting to mainline beige food.
I'm somewhere between 7-8 weeks Blizy - my mw booking app this morning gave me my third date so far!

cheshirem2b · 27/05/2014 15:02

Well I've just had a chocolate brownie and smoothie for lunch... healthy and naughty to balance out (?!?!) - feel a bit sick now but not too bad.

Popped home late morning as DH called to say there was a letter from the hospital... scan date! 26 June though when I will be 12+4... seems so long to wait but it's only 4weeks and 2days away! Hurray! My mum is gutted as she's on holiday and wanted to tell everyone after that scan so she will have to wait until she comes home to tell the world!

Anyone else got scan dates through yet?

Saraswati · 27/05/2014 15:12

Glad all was well pass

cheshire mines in exactly 3 weeks on 17th June (not that I'm counting) when I should be exactly 12 weeks and got a private scan booked for this Saturday when I'll be 9+4. It can't come soon enough!!

I tried to have some fruit, I think it's just too acidic at the moment and I have gone off sweet stuff too. Had some banana on my bran the other day and promptly vommed it up again. Won't be going near bananas again for a long time! This pregnancy has so far ruined a lot of my favourite foods, this baby better be bloody cute!!

LulusMiniEgg · 27/05/2014 15:16

Hi all!

Yes carbs, carbs carbs for me too! Lunchtime is my favourite time of day as in the morning I feel sick, in the afternoon I feel tired and evening I feel sick and tired! At lunch I am inbetween so feel quite happy!

Got to go to a DH's colleagues leaving do in a working mans club tonight. Can't think of anything I'd rather do less to be honest... Don't really know anyone apart from him and a couple of others even though they came to our wedding!!! They are all firemen though so shouldn't complain!! DH took one look at me this morning and said I only needed to come for a bit tonight, think he felt a bit sorry for me! Going out to celebrate his 30th tomorrow as well -what a busy week!

Cheshire my scan is on the 20th June - can't wait for some good news fx and to stop hiding away pretending to drink etc-want the news to be out there at last!

Starbright24 · 27/05/2014 15:35

I got half way through my lunch of homemade chicken soup (not creamy) and bread, which I thought I'd be finewith but no...had to visit the bathroom for a proper old hurl. Managed a few sstrawberries after that thoughso I must be healthy :)
First midwife appointment tomorrow to look forward to.
Sorry to everyone else who's having a rough time.

Mmmm...firemen Grin

sunshineandbiscuits · 27/05/2014 15:51

I'm very happy to say that our scan went well today - really clear picture of a BEAN with a nice happy healthy heartbeat GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin It was so exciting to actually see the little bean and we are soooo happy that so far all is well!!! Measured in at 7+6 which is bang on our estimated dates (which should be accurate, given this baby only had one shot at being conceived!). Obviously we know that we are not out of the woods yet, but still really really happy and relieved Grin. Good news in time for our holiday tomorrow!

On foods, I'm still tolerating fruit and veg despite the nausea. All I want to eat at the moment (other than jacobs crackers with chedder) is a big pile of carb with some nice fresh veg on top. I absolutely cannot stomach anything creamy or milky. I guess everyone is a bit different. Def gone off chocolate though - DW had some nice Belgian chocs last night which MiL had brought back from their hols and it smelt so strong to me I had to leave the room!

cheshirem2b · 27/05/2014 16:15

sunshine excellent news! Really pleased for you! Thanks you can enjoy your holiday now!
I really hop I don't go off chocolate! Sad

That's great sunshine Grin enjoy your holiday

RPopz · 27/05/2014 16:51

Sounds like all these babies are carb babies! Surviving on toast and biscuits! Fruit makes me retch to even think of.... especially orange juice and apples! Slightly relieved its not just me. I figure bean will leach the nutrients it needs!

Cheshire mine's on 24th June Grin

RPopz · 27/05/2014 16:52

Great news on the scan Sunshine xx

LadyCottington · 27/05/2014 17:17

I go away for the weekend and we're onto a new thread! Got to try to keep up with this one a bit better.

I'm also only eating carbs at the moment. I'm also like a hobbit in that I need two breakfasts in the morning! I have to eat when I get up (this morning was half a packet of crisps, which promptly got thrown up) and then I get ready and have my 'proper' breakfast (usually toast which stayed down this morning).

I called in sick to work today as I felt so bad this morning. I don't think my boss was impressed, but when she finds out the reason I'm sure she won't mind. Not quite sure how I'm going to make it through tomorrow, it's my early start and mornings are the worst for me.

We went to a wedding in the weekend and all my friends guessed I was pregnant when I ordered an orange juice and declined the vodka. I didn't confirm anything, but they all kept on asking me (so annoying). I wish I had hidden it a bit better!

Have a nice holiday, sunshine, I'm off on mine on Friday and I can't wait Grin

fancyacupoftea · 27/05/2014 17:25

That's lovely news Sunshine! Congratulations!
Apart from the chocolate. That's bad news.

Frances79FirstTime · 27/05/2014 17:31

I am on carb overload too - must be the beans loading up for the winter arrivals!!

I also had some suspicious comments over the weekend - one friend, when I said I was driving, said "you're not pregnant are you?!" to which I replied "Do I LOOK pregnant?!" And then my dear Mum, who noticed I hadn't "imbibed anywhere near as much as I usually do when I see them" said "are you sure you haven't got something to tell me?" To which I replied "er no". I'm reluctant to tell anyone until after 12 weeks, but hate skirting around it all!

I'm going to have to tell my best friend when I see her on Saturday though as there is NO reason in the world I could come up with for not drinking with her as we are seeing two rugby games at Twickenham (I will also need her help with concealing the fact I am not drinking from other people there!)

Sooo annoying!

Frances79FirstTime · 27/05/2014 17:32

(I never realised I drank so much ha ha!)

PomeralLights · 27/05/2014 17:35

Congrats sunshine great news! glad you can go and have happy hols now! Have a great time :)

Starbright24 · 27/05/2014 17:36

Wonder if I can persuade midwife to get me an early scan tomorrow Grin
