I got some nice maxi skirts from Fat Face the other day Mini - as I figure my days in skinny jeans are numbered!! Grin They're digging in a bit already...

Bit jealous of all this boobage! Mine are definitely bigger but don't think we're talking cup sizes yet! Just a bit of an overspill haha.

Hope everyone's well this morning. I'm starting to notice a decrease in nausea now - and almost feeling a little sad that this part of the pg is nearly over (I know I know... Blush ) x

Saraswati · 08/06/2014 10:46

H&m do good cheap maxi skirts and dresses, I got a few when I went on holiday just before bfp and have been wearing them in the warmer weather, so nice and loose around my tummy. The days of skinny jeans are definitely gone!!

rpopz you are a crazy lady!! The last two days I've been feeling a bit brighter, still tired but less sick. Also been needing the loo less as my uterus has moved up more so I guess there's less pressure on my bladder. I'm so excited for the next couple of weeks - I get to tell everyone and hopefully feel and look much better!

10+5 today the last couple of weeks have flown by! Only 9 days until 12 weeks scan Shock

I'm 7+3 today and the ms has got me! Felt queasy a lot but no sickness until this morning. Urgh! My DS (2yrs) thought it was hilarious and came running into bathroom to laugh at me. No sympathy in this house!

ViviPru · 08/06/2014 11:37

Mine's on Friday. Until a few days ago I'd been very excited and we were planning to finally tell all our nearest and dearest at the weekend.

I've had a bit of a wobble though and the reality that there's a chance we could be given less than positive NT measurement results (whether they indicate anything or not) has dawned on me. I'm not unduly worried, just being realistic about possible outcomes of the scan.

DH and I had a good chat yesterday about whether we would still go on to tell everyone straight away were that the case, and we've decided that rather than automatically carry on and announce it as we'd planned, were there any high risk indicators, we'd reassess who we would go on to share the news with, if anyone.

I was wondering if anyone on here knew whether a high NT measurement is something the sonographer/consultants would draw your attention to during the scan/immediately after? Or are they in the practice of making a quiet note of it to be passed on to specialists and discussed with you once the measurement has been assessed along with the other possible contraindications? In other words, will we know on Friday if there's possible risk based purely on NT or will we have to sit tight all weekend?

Thanks Thanks

Loobyloo893 · 08/06/2014 11:47

Vivi, with DS they put a printout if the scan report in my maternity notes so all the measurements were in there including nt on the day we had scan. Not sure if that's how they do it everywhere though. You can always ask sonographer to tell you the measurements. There's no reason why they wouldn't tell you.
We told everyone after 12 week scan then got results of 1 in 5 risk and wished we hadn't told people. We're going to try and wait for the results this time but I may well be showing by then x

ViviPru · 08/06/2014 11:55

Looby thanks so much for letting me know. That is reassuring.

We had planned to tell all of our closest friends and family but on second thoughts I think we'll just keep it to our parent. I know if our results came back as high risk I wouldn't want the extra pressure of lots of people knowing.

I remember one of my friends (one of the people we'd been planing on telling at the weekend) told us all they were expecting when she was about 9 weeks. She then was given high risk odds and went on to have an amnio and I remember it being a really tough time for them which wasn't helped by all of the speculation and interference from people they'd told.

*Parents!

Pesto11 · 08/06/2014 11:58

I bought some cheap floaty tops from new look.
Can't do any of my trousers up so I'm living in skirts.
Also annoyingly can't find any shops that sell maternity work trousers- they keep telling me to look online! Grr

Dec2013mummy · 08/06/2014 12:18

Madrigals I'm 10 weeks today too... 1/4 of the way there!! I have to day in very jealous though... I unfortunately cannot say that my ms is easing!! Hopefully it will soon :)

In our lab, samples from ladies with particularly high NTs are usually sent as "urgent" - so I would think the sonographer would tell you there and then then that was the case. x

10 weeks tomorrow- still 2.5 weeks til our scan! Sad

ViviPru · 08/06/2014 12:49

Ah thanks, RPopz that's good to know Thanks

KeepOnPloddingOn · 08/06/2014 13:22

Hello all. Hope we all having a good sund?
Loving the suggestions on maxi skirts and dresses- I am in maternity jeans and leggings mainly (from last pregnancy)

I have a hen night this Saturday and I am startin i panic over what the hell to wear. Probably will go for a nice fancy maxi dress and flats (im 5'7 so not a huge fan of heals)

I tried a dress in today and wanted to vom at the site of my reflection in the changing room mirror. They are so unkind- and dear god the lighting!? I cant wait till I have a proper big bump that I can wear wrh pride :) right now I just look (and am) mega mega bloated. My face looks fuller too ...
I must say I am liking the little glow I seem to have acquired.

I feel horrific though. Terrible indigestion (nhs states its common if you have already had a pregnancy) and I feel soooo sick.

Only eating helps.

KeepOnPloddingOn · 08/06/2014 13:25

I should add with my last pregnancy all I did was eat (which is prob why I never had chance to feel sick) I went from a size 8 to a 14 and put on five stone!!!

I really dont wanna do that again. But I just love eating. I still have a stone extra from the last oregnacy that I never managed to lose. Argh well, more to life than a fat behind hahaba

lindamagoo · 08/06/2014 13:37

KeepOn that's what happened in my first pregnancy! Ate loads, developed an underactive thyroid and gained 5 stone Hmm Desperate not to allow that this time.

We need a new bus ladies but I can't do it on my phone

EnglishGirlsReturned · 08/06/2014 14:05

God so many of you seem so far ahead of me... I have no idea how far I am! Lol! My first scan put me at 4-5 weeks, so I should be somewhere between 7-8 I think! Wednesday will clarify things a little!! Can't come soon enough now!

ViviPru · 08/06/2014 14:12

EnglishGirls My LMP due date is actually 31 Dec, I joined this thread as the MW dated me at 2nd Jan and the Dec thread seemed eons ahead of me Grin

Although it feels like you're ahead of me as you've already had a scan!

EnglishGirlsReturned · 08/06/2014 14:31

I'm having another reasurrance scan Vivu - had some spotting and brown discharge 2-3 weeks ago and because of miscarriage history they scanned me. Go back on wednesday to make sure it is developing properly. So hopefully they'll date me closer to 8 weeks than 7. Then I'll book my booking in appointment with MW and hopefully all will be plain sailing!

HenriettaTurkey · 08/06/2014 14:31

I feel like people are way ahead of me too - and my EDD is either 13th or 18th, so pretty much in the middle. :)

On another note, HenriettaTurkey, step away from the Dominos Pizza... Blush

Thanks Madrigals. I was starting to feel like a paranoid worrymonger (which is SO not my usual style) for reconsidering going public immediately after 12wk scan but I'm starting to think it's the right thing for us. Black garms it is!
