Wonder how many of these threads we'll get through in 9 months!! Grin

cheshirem2b · 25/05/2014 20:03

gingy mine went on for 4 days after my scan but if you're worried call epu again.

gingysmummy · 25/05/2014 20:06

Cheshire do you think it's normal after a scan? It's more just when I'm wiping and a tiny bit on a panty liner. I'm very anxious as my last 3 pregnancies have ended at 8 weeks

LulusMiniEgg · 25/05/2014 20:17

Hi Gingy if you have history of mc at 8 weeks I'm sure they won't mind you going back to rest your mind. Was it an internal scan? If so may be the wiggling about caused a little bleeding too? I really wouldn't worry too much if the bleeding has tailed off but as I said I'm sure they wouldn't mind you going back x

Loobyloo893 · 25/05/2014 20:23

Gingy if you're worried give epu a call. It's always better to check just in case, most epu's will be really good with any anxious mum to bes. It's probably nothing to worry about but you'll only start stressing if you're worried.

gingysmummy · 25/05/2014 20:31

no it wasn't an internal scan,i think i will give them a phone in the morning to put my mind at rest, thanks for the replies

Dec2013mummy · 25/05/2014 20:52

gingy I agree with everyone else.... They are normally very understanding and extra stress won't do you any good so probably best to put your mind at rest.
rpopz I was thinking exactly the same! If we keep going at this rate quite a few I think.
I have to say it's so lovely to have all of you guys to chat to, I had no one really last time and suffered with antenatal anxiety and depression. This time I feel really happy... Even when work have annoyed me, it hasn't been for long. I just know I won't be going back to the same place. :)
Here's to happy pregnancies (despite the sickness) Wine

Thread 3 already wow! Just marking my place. Thanks decmummy!!

haquoi123 · 25/05/2014 21:21

Marking my place also. Experienced 1st wave of ms today, no vomiting but eurgh. Reminds me of how much I hate feeling sick. Renewed sympathies for those of you suffering, I'm such a wuss!!

Can't believe there's a Feb thread already! I still feel like a newbie and I'm due 17th Jan!

Saraswati · 25/05/2014 21:23

liveinabox that was me! Not sure yet if it's womb or just squished organs or something. I've got a new kinda hard rounded ridge about 2 fingers wide just above my pubic bone. It's got bigger over last few days and I've definitely never felt it before (this is my first pregnancy). Do you think you can feel yours too?

Saraswati · 25/05/2014 21:24

gingy I vote for giving them a call too. it won't do any harm and will hopefully put your mind at ease.

cheshirem2b · 25/05/2014 22:32

gingy my sonographer had to be quite rough (external scan) and said I might have more spotting after the scan... Prob excess from implantation being dislodged as she squished things to seemy little smudge. But you've nothing to lose from giving them a call if you're concerned.

tams1uk · 25/05/2014 23:02

Just marking my place on the new thread :-)

All this talk of 12 week scans is making me very jealous, lol. I haven't even heard when my booking in appointment is yet!! I'm only 7 + 2 though, so hoping I'll hear something this week. With it being our first and not really knowing anyone in this area who's gone through it, I don't really know what the procedure is. Ahh well, will just have to exercise a little patience lol

fancyacupoftea · 25/05/2014 23:54

Marking my place too, thanks so much dec for setting up the thread!
I bent over earlier to take my shoe off and I felt like I crushed my belly (or at least the muscles) and then it's felt like I've pulled a muscle around my uterus since. Not sinister, just muscular. Anyone done anything like that?

MelMc73 · 26/05/2014 07:03

Fancy I've done that a few times! Ouch!

sleepisforthetired · 26/05/2014 07:18

Morning all! Just place marking on the new thread :)

gingysmummy · 26/05/2014 08:15

Morning ladies good news bleeding has seemed to off stopped, so hopefully it was just as Cheshire said the sonographer being a bit rough. I'll be so happy when I get my next scan at 12 weeks seems like an age away

MelMc73 · 26/05/2014 08:29

That's great news Gingy. My 12 wk scan is ages as well!
Just dropped ds off at school breakfast club and back in bed. Full of the cold and feel sick :'(

cheshirem2b · 26/05/2014 08:45

gingy great news and hope it continues! My paranoia of checking the toilet paper is starting to ease off! Wink
mel I presume it's not a bank holiday for you?!

MelMc73 · 26/05/2014 08:51

It's a bank holiday for some people Cheshire. Schools not off though. Our office is closed but I've brought work to do at home....not feeling up to it. Might just have a lazy day to myself!!

bedsidemanor · 26/05/2014 09:03

Hello all!
Finally caught up with all the news - hope those not working today are having fun!
I have my dating scan today which is v exciting! I'm definitely going to ask about something for the ms though as all I manage to do at the moment is crawl to work and back again. I feel rough constantly and my social life seems to have disappeared!

lindamagoo · 26/05/2014 09:18

That's good news gingy Smile

MademoiselleG · 26/05/2014 09:25

Thank you for the new thread dec!

So we went to a dinner party last night which finished at 1 am...I can't believe I managed to stay awake for that long! I hardly drank - few sips of champagne (it was a very nice dinner party!) and wine here and there- and I think they bought my excuse of taking antibiotics for a root canal treatment tomorrow (which is partly true: it's wedns...yuk!). But I am soooooooooo tired now and just.can't.sleep.... Even dd is kindly letting us have a lie-in, but I'm wide awake thinking about chore/shopping/work to do lists...GAAAHH!Confused

Camsie30 · 26/05/2014 09:53

Really good news Gingy, you must feel so relieved.

I spent all day yesterday with close friends, one of whom is three weeks away from giving birth. I felt so strange having this secret, I'm usually very open with my friends. Anyway, just got to get through the next 5 weeks and then fingers crossed I can tell them!

Happy Bank Holiday to all our little beans xx

LiveInABox · 26/05/2014 10:08

Saras I think I can feel something, but as I've never had reason to prod around there before I don't know if it's always been there!
Forgot to mention that I went for my long-awaited facial yesterday, got all undressed and in my robe, then mentioned to the therapist that I was pregnant so she could avoid the unsafe oils... She flat out refused to do anything! Said that the spa is not insured to do any treatments on pregnant women less than 12 weeks! Totally understand their stance, but gutted was an understatement! So anyone else considering similar - check with your individual therapist before booking!
