Sorry about your 24 inch waist loss saraswati hope your mum doesn't notice but if she is anything like mine she'll know as soon as she sees you!

Chatty bunch today....
Welcome LadyNexus and Missdonsol!
No news here. Feeling fat. Not showing though... just look a bit lardy. Addicted to crackers and lurpack! Healthy!! That habit needs to stop before I become a whale!!

Dec2013mummy · 06/06/2014 19:23

That's good news about the house dec!

Another one here agreeing with the 9/10 week sickness surge. I'm 9+4 and it's worse in the evenings but really can shake this nausea today.

English I feel fat too. Not pregnant, just fat. My increased appetite is working against me.

Saraswati · 06/06/2014 19:34

mini I'm wearing a very baggy top!! I'm sure she'll be suspicious but there will be others there so hopefully she won't say anything. Then I won't see her until after my scan!!

Have got my 13 year old nephew staying with me this weekend, I hope it's not a terrifying view of the future!!

Exciting house news dec ! Not so much the sickness though. Not long until the mythical magic 12 weeks when all our sickness WILL go!!

Pesto11 · 06/06/2014 19:56

Hello all, I've noticed an extra bump in my mid section. Feels quite hard compared to my tummy.

I had my booking appointment last Friday and the midwife said my 12 week scan will be sorted soon...
I've been waiting and waiting all week and there's been nothing in the post ... Aarrghhh shall I ring my surgery, am I being massively impatient? I just want my scan! Hardly any symptoms now... Worried I'm imagining it all!
Currently 9+3-when did you all receive 12week scan date?

lindamagoo · 06/06/2014 20:12

Chinese the headaches could defo just be pregnancy related, I had them almost every day for a couple of months with ds1.

I've pretty much ate my own weight in food this evening and I feel like shit now Hmm Another early night for me tonight I think

cheshirem2b · 06/06/2014 20:13

Pesto my scan date was through 10d after my booking apt (which was on 16 May) and then I called to bring it forward a week (didn't want to wait until 13w so got it straight on 12w)!!!

Dec2013mummy · 06/06/2014 20:18

sara I seriously hope so. It lasted until 2 days past having Ds last time so I have everything crossed this time. Wouldn't wish that on anyone. So glad no one has been hospitalised with it though! That is rough!! :)

So far I've been going just crazy on grapefruit!

Thank god because if I put any more weight on ill start to resemble a small continent :D

fancyacupoftea · 06/06/2014 20:30

I get headaches in the evening when I'm getting tired. They're horrible.

Can I just ask if anyone has used any laxatives for constipation relief and if they know which ones are safe to use. NHS says 'most' are but don't know how this translates to brands. Adding more fibre has done nothing.

mummyk8 · 06/06/2014 20:31

Pesto I'm 10 weeks tomorrow and I have to wait until the 13th for my booking appointment. I have a bad feeling I'm not going to have to wait a good few weeks for my 12 week scan. But I can't really complain as have had two early scans already due to bleeding. Thankfully all was ok and the bleeding has now stopped. That doesn't seem to stop the worrying thought.

ViviPru · 06/06/2014 20:45

People have just about given up asking when we are going to start a family so I guess they will be pretty surprised when they find out!

Same here ILoveLamp. No one ever asks us, I think they just assume we don't want/like kids. I'm sure DH's family have us down as some high-living yuppies who see kids as an unnecessary hindrance to our la-di-da lifestyle. Err, no, it's just been completely unfeasible to contemplate having children while I've been financially supporting your son while he starts his own business! I think they may be rather shocked Grin

Chinese that did make me larf about the Latin! And great news about your job, Sara.

Like a lot of you I feel like a right old lardarse right now. I keep scoffing unhealthy shit and somehow justifying it to myself at the time then feeling wretched after...

RPopz · 06/06/2014 21:01

Vivi that was perfectly put... exactly how I feel every night after chowing down on carbs all day!!

Haha Saras - hope your Mum doesn't notice but I bet she will! After I told my Mum I was pg the first thing she said was "I knew your boobs were bigger!" Haha, Mums eh.

Think I must be missing out on the 9/10 week surge - feeling quite unpregnant today! Minimal nausea and retching.

Hope everyone's having a nice relaxing night xxxx

LuluJakey1 · 06/06/2014 21:05

I could so eat some chocolate right now. None in house and DH out at pub. Something chocolate and gooey- like Turkish Delight Cadbury's chocolate.

Picked up DH's ipad before and he has made a list of girl's names and boy's names. Aww!

ViviPru · 06/06/2014 21:10

Oh yeah I could go a Turkish Delight right now. There's a box of mint matchmakers in the pantry but I have no self control and an open box will be an empty box....

ViviPru · 06/06/2014 21:10

That's sweet Lulu - what do you make of the names he's listed?!

KeepOnPloddingOn · 06/06/2014 21:21

"An open box will be an empty box ..." vivi love this! So me.

lulu how sweet of your dh :)

ViviPru · 06/06/2014 21:26

In other news I've bought DH "Fatherhood - The Truth" by Marcus Berkmann for Father's Day. It's sat in front of me now and I'm itching to read it but I don't want to knacker the spine....

I'm home alone and the house is full of temptation. I shouldn't be left unsupervised like this.....

KeepOnPloddingOn · 06/06/2014 21:31

That sounds like a nice gift , dh isnt a reader - but sure he could appreciate something like this. May steal your idea.

ViviPru · 06/06/2014 21:42

No neither is my DH - and it'll all probably just end in an argument when I get the arse about the fact it's laying forgotten beside the bed... but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now!

I actually got the idea off the pregnancy board the other day so can't take credit!

LuluJakey1 · 06/06/2014 21:45

vivi I like them.

Elinor, Anna, Grace. Charlotte, Evelyn, Matilda.
Patrick, Guy, Isaac, Charlie, Thomas, Daniel

I like all of them actually!

ChineseFireball · 06/06/2014 21:52

Lulu one of your boy names I am particularly fond of Grin

Vivi yes! The eating thing is just out of control now. I hope I can tone it down once the sickness goes because last time I gained 5 stone. 5!

I have a good night of insomnia lined up after today's Amazon delivery...breaking dawn pt 2 and the hunger games on blu-ray. BOOM! Must remember to switch the monitor off tonight though - poor little DS is a noisy sleeper! Love him Grin

ViviPru · 06/06/2014 22:07

Oh yes lovely classic names, right up my street Lulu. DH and I haven't broached the subject yet. I have the fear he'll be nonplussed with my favourites, but offer little in the way alternative suggestions. We had the dog a week before we could decide on a name!

Man alive, Chinese FIVE! well from your bump pic you must have lost it ok after the first pregnancy!

cheshirem2b · 06/06/2014 22:16

lulu one of the boys and one of the girls names are (we think) the names we've picked... This week! V sweet of your DH!
My DH is moaning he's got man sniffles... Funnily enough, having exhaustion, food aversions and nausea I'm not very sympathetic! Wink
