Morning Girls,

Thought I would start a new thread as someone suggested further down the last one.

Come and join.

Debbsy, how are things today ? Hope you are feeling better.
Tummy Button is starting to poke out a bit, sort of half in and half out, looks very odd.
We brought our buggy yesterday - we have gone for this one , being delivered a week Friday. Can't wait to get it home and have a push.

Not even thought about hospital bag yet. When I was pregnant with DD, I'm sure I already had it packed by now. We had one for labour and one for afterwards which worked quite well, think we will do the same this time.
Carseat - I had to stay in after having DD so DH brought the carseat up to the hospital the next day with him. I think we will put it in the car ready this time though as hoping to be in and out in a flash

Now you have been educated and all the first time mums out there too ! I feel I have done my bit for womankind !

NatalieJane · 27/09/2006 14:26

It isn't the worst bit of labour, I would rather have the ring of fire pain than the pain and exhaustion of a long drawn out labour! Like I said I'll know this time that when I feel the burning it will only be a matter of seconds before LO is out and it is all over!! I cannot wait for the ring of fire TBH!! LOL

NatalieJane · 27/09/2006 14:28

LMAO We will stand together and face the pain of The Ring Of Fire (sounds like a tribal dance )

Debz99 · 27/09/2006 14:33

NJ i'm sure there is a Country and Western song called the RING OF FIRE LOL ! Not that this kinda music is my usual taste

NatalieJane · 27/09/2006 14:45

LOL I bet it doesn't have much to do with labour!!

Debz99 · 27/09/2006 14:48

I'm sure it hasn't NJ if I recall rightly its a man singing it and he wouldn't have a bloody clue LOL !

Did any of you give up smoking when you started to TTC or when you found out you were PG?

Mygirl there is a new thread, but I am useless at links!!

No, no problem, was just interested really!! My sister had a really hard time giving up in pregnancy and it was one of the main things she ever talked about all the way through, just wondered if anyone was the same on here!

(I will copy and paste this to the new thread so you will see it there!)

ExpatSarah · 27/09/2006 19:25

Goodness, I can't believe how long it's taken me to catch up!

Sympathy to all of you having a rough time of it. I seem to have found a second wind, and am not nearly as tired at the end of my working day as I was even a few weeks ago! Perhaps it's something to do with a nesting-type instinct? Because I work so much, I'm using up all my nesting energy at the office? Ah well, I'm just going to enjoy it while it lasts.
I've got 5 1/2 weeks till I start my maternity leave (7 weeks till LO is due), and my boss is starting to freak out about my training someone to take over for me, lest I go early.
On top of that, nursery is nowhere near complete. The only things we've bought for LO are car-seat and pram. No cot, no bath, nothing else. I'm starting to wonder if dh has turned completely stupid when it comes to counting down.
Sorry, too long by far here...and too much moaning

Hi all,

You've all made me laugh tonight - even the ring of fire discussion. Thanks - really needed it, - not been that great either lately and DH out of the country so been feeling sorry for myself!

Bit worried about Stacey! Hope everything is going alright there!

Bethbe

MeAndMyBoy · 27/09/2006 20:36

Expat Sarah I have posted your message across onto the new thread for you too. Hope you make it across to it and don't worry about moaning we're all at it lol

willowsimp · 19/04/2012 21:57

Hello all - really need to hook up with a dog walker asap. my cute little yorkie needs to be taken out 2-3 times a week for a half hour walk. I am open to discussion on how much to pay. Anyone in the surbiton area who is available and fancies it?
Thanks
