Morning Girls,

Thought I would start a new thread as someone suggested further down the last one.

Come and join.

Debbsy, how are things today ? Hope you are feeling better.
Tummy Button is starting to poke out a bit, sort of half in and half out, looks very odd.
We brought our buggy yesterday - we have gone for this one , being delivered a week Friday. Can't wait to get it home and have a push.

Not even thought about hospital bag yet. When I was pregnant with DD, I'm sure I already had it packed by now. We had one for labour and one for afterwards which worked quite well, think we will do the same this time.
Carseat - I had to stay in after having DD so DH brought the carseat up to the hospital the next day with him. I think we will put it in the car ready this time though as hoping to be in and out in a flash

NatalieJane · 27/09/2006 09:22

God, I had a really shitty night last night (sorry!!) I was shattered after all of the painting, had a migrain coming on that always effects my sight, all swollen up, had to do the shopping, came home and it suddenly hit me that I had 3 of the major signs of pre-eclampsia(sp?) spent the rest of the evening swapping between moaning about my head and my fingers (my ring finger was killing me!) and asking DH if my face had started to swell ! Then spent all night awake listening to my head pound, feeling around my face, needing a wee, trying to find a comfy position, finally dropped off gone 5 o'clock this morning, and the next thing I know DH is waking me up saying the alarm hadn't gone off and we were late, so we rushed around, head is still killing me, but I have deflated a little bit!!

I think I am going to take the phone upstairs with me and get back into bed, I have really strong BH this morning, and they are getting quite painfull now, I promise I won't be feeling so sorry for myself when I catch up with you all later on!

P.S. Debz hope the MW goes OK

DebbsyandBibby · 27/09/2006 09:32

nj ((((((((hugs)))))))))))) hope you feel better soon

Debz99 · 27/09/2006 09:59

Thanks for your good wishes, will tell midwife this afternoon when I see her, however nothing this morning no spotting no mild pains ! NJ hope you feel better today, put your feet up and do nothing today !

Delia · 27/09/2006 10:38

morning all.
NJ my rings came off weeks ago my hands swell up so they dig in and then go back down to the state where they feel like they are falling off! I'am wearing them on the chain round my kneck as i was told they cut them off and don't think i could handle that! hope the nap does you some good.

Debz i have had some light spotting to but as you said it is so little that I did'nt think it was anything to worry about so have just carried on as normal, let me know what mw says, just in case i'm being naive.

Debz99 · 27/09/2006 10:40

Will do Delia I'm sure its nothing to worry about, but you know what it's like you worry any way LOL !

LeBe · 27/09/2006 11:25

Morning all. Sorry everyone but im one who has had a bad night so please read no further id you dont want to hear me moan.
I got home last night and trapped a nerve in my back but by the time i got into bed it was just a dull backache, i managed to get to sleep after about an hour and a half but woke at 2 to have a wee and thought my backs killing! So i had a bath and watched tele, dp came in and saked if i was ok bless him, i also had period type pains and just couldnt get comfy, finally got to sleep about 6 and woke at 8 for work, i rang and asked if i could come in a bit late, so did manage to have another couple of hours, but am at work now like the living dead.

Anyway - i forgot to do my wee sample yesterday so had to do it at the docs, dont think they would have been to happy if id of asked for something to decanter my wee in! But def will do in the future.
I havent worn my rings since i was 5months pg and no my fingers resemble cocktail sausages!

Debz - good luck today

Debz99 · 27/09/2006 12:23

Sorry to hear you had a crap night Lebe and hope your better today. I cant remember the last time I slept through the night ...... I wake at least 4 times in the night !

LeBe · 27/09/2006 12:41

Thanks debz - i know what you mean i usually have atleast 3 wees but i normally get off to sleep alright after, i suppose it is good training for when lo gets here but i also have one of those pg support pillows so everytime i turn over i have to re-position it. Oh isnt pg fun!!

CattyB · 27/09/2006 12:43

Hi guys, Back online - hurrah! Since it would take me about 4 weeks to catch up I am going to be crap and do it some other time so I hope you are all well. Or as well as you all can be in the 3rd trimester with huge tummies, big boobs, achey joints and lack of sleep.
Can't believe that this pg is nearly at an end (although sure the next 4...5...6... weeks will drag) and am starting to think about baby as opposed to being pg. Weird to think of baby as a seperate being but looking forward to it 9and to not being pg {grin}).
Seeing the midwife next week as not sure if smidge is the right way round. Would be a real bugger (apologies) if I had to go into hospital for my last birth but a breech at home probably isn't realistic. Hopefully the mw will be able to tell this time - I really can't - or I'll have to go for a scan which I would prefer not to do.

The house move went well enough but I'm still in shock over the sheer amount of stuff we have - I want to get stuff semi cleared away before baby come but its such a mammoth task esp as I'm mostly always exhausted. Guess we'll (I'll) get there eventually. Handing over the keys for the old place on Fri - so need to go and bleach the old place to within an inch of its life tomorrow - thankfully there's only a wee amount of things still to bring down. Next time I move remind me to save up and get a company to pack and move!

Anyway enough about me. Hugs to you all!

harrogatemum · 27/09/2006 12:49

Hi all - been to midwife today for a check up - baby is lying transverse which would explain my agonising stomach pains of a night. REally really painful and getting a bit sick of them to be honest!

Still not bought any equipment for this baby - I should probably get it sorted soon.....I reckon we can only be a couple of weeks away from the first birth if a few people are early - how exciting!!

Charleesunnysunsun · 27/09/2006 13:16

Afternoon all, another crappy night here im afriad so another moan coming on sorry in advance!

I am getting sick of night times in a big way! I go to bed and can;t sleep becuase of these pathetic panick attacks about god knows what i can't work it out and when i finally do sleep i have the most horrific nightmares and wake up anyway and can;t get bak to sleep! I have had about 2 hrs a night sleep for weeks now and it's really begining to get to me mentally and physically.

I would tell the midwife but i feel like a prat saying, im having panick attacks about something but im not sure what!

I hope Stacey is ok she hasn't posted since seeing her m/w i hope the appointment went well.

I am getting horrible indigestion and have a leg constantly in my ribs which is soooooooo uncomfortable! I am also still having these really long painfull bh's so all in all im a moaning old wreck! forgive me please!

Im still waiting for the sure start grant to come through although im begining to think i should get the babies things from our little savings then just top them back up if and when the grant arrives!

Have a nice day all of you

NatalieJane · 27/09/2006 13:43

I think it is about time one of you ladies due end of Oct/early Nov gave birth, give the rest of us something else to think about!! We are a group of moany moaners aren't we!! Meant in the kindest possible way girls

I'm not sure NJ but your right ! I was looking on our previous thread and we were all so positive then ... now all we seem to do is moan about our ailments LOL ! Why doesn't anyone tell you that you turn into a miserable old bint towards then end of your pregnancy and you have all these little ailments, its a conspiracy ..... its like the ring of fire only my dearest friend has spoken to me about this !!!!

LOL, the ring of fire, I'd say at the time it is happening it takes more than a bit of an 'ow' to get through it! But looking back now, I kind of remember it quite fondly, it was the worst agonising pain I think I have ever experienced - and I knew nothing at all about it, which made it worse, but it seemed to be over so quickly and then all of a sudden I had a baby in my arms and it just so didn't matter any more!

I forgot to say about my rings, I have managed to get my engagment ring off, but my wedding ring is stuck, I think it is because the band is thicker, if my fingers go back down I will get it off, normally they swell up at night and by the morning they are back to normal, so although my rings hurt I normally just put up with them, but my fingers haven't gone all the way back to normal this time so it is stuck

Debz99 · 27/09/2006 14:06

MGLP - RAFLMAO poor you !!!!! Take it you made it in time !

LeBe · 27/09/2006 14:07

Soory to all who are struggling, and i agree we do all moan i might look at some other threads just to check its not just the curse of November babies!! I was always a bit of a moaner and i must admit i do like a bit of sympathy but this is a joke ive never had such a rough 9 months and im one of those horrible sickly people too! No one tells you all the things you go through either its like some big consipericy (sp?) of pg people. The most funny thing is that i am already saying 'when i have my next one' i must be a glutton for punishment .
Im starting to feel sicky alot now too, and i just went to sainsburys to get a salad bar box where you can chose your own and nearly passed out at the checkout not good. Now feeling very out of sorts!

NatalieJane · 27/09/2006 14:07

LOL Mygirl, we went to Tesco yesterday, did the shopping, went to pay (on my switch card) put my card in the machine, put the pin number in, and the machine came up saying wrong pin, so I put it in again thinking I must have hit a wrong number, still came up saying it was the wrong pin and the next try would be the last one, I wispered to DH 'The number is xxxx isn't it?' he said 'No, it's xxxy' - I have had the same pin number since I opened my first bank account when I was 14 years old!! LOL I don't know what I'd have done if DH wasn't with me!!

Debz99 · 27/09/2006 14:09

NJ see I told you its a conspiracy you all seem to forget about it ! My friend was so traumatised by the ring of fire she vowed to tell every PG lady she can !!! she said it's like someone holding a lighter underneath you !

LeBe · 27/09/2006 14:12

Can i just ask what the hell is the ring of fire? (or do i really not want to know)

NatalieJane · 27/09/2006 14:16

Lebe the ring of fire is the very last kick in the teeth you get as a pregnant woman before LO arrives! It is basically when the widest part of the baby comes through and you are stretched to the full, it feels like a burning sensation, and, for me at least, made me literally climb up the bed whilst trying to push away from the pain, you will read this and think what on earth does she mean climbing away from the pain but you will realise exactly what I mean when it is your turn!

Debz99 · 27/09/2006 14:20

See Lebe - Personally I have had no experience of this as this is my first however just as the head crowns your bits feel as if someone is holding a flame to them ! NICE .......

LeBe · 27/09/2006 14:21

Oh dear i was right i didnt want to know! Does this happen in labour did you mean? And im sure i can imagine what you mean about climbing away it sounds horrible! I think ive decided not to give birth now ive changed my mind!
