Thankyou Grin will def take a peek at this...we will prob have two in nappies for a while depending on potty training in the summer!! sounds like a great idea Smile

mssleepyhead · 05/05/2014 19:51

Good advice hungry - thank you! Will get some size 1s the next time I'm in sainsburys too : )

ilovemonstersInc · 06/05/2014 12:09

Lucy I will have 3 in nappies.

Eldest has sn and health problems so he can wee in a potty but can't poo on potty.
Also second buying size1 nappies as even though my babies were bigger they were still in size 1 for a while.

ilovemonstersInc · 06/05/2014 12:19

ive been getting pains for a few days now. Best way to describe them is when your in labour and you have all the pressure plus pains at bottom of stomach going into back and bum? With some bh chucked in too. The other night the pains made me cry but couldn't get checked out too scared they would keep me in
ive been getting them at top of bump too. Much more than usual achey pains? Ive rang for an appointment which is on Thursday (had 1 next week but cancelled) and asked for an earlier one as I wanted to see mw earlier they didn't ask why

mssleepyhead · 06/05/2014 16:22

Had my MW appointment today and all looking good with the bump and the heart rate, but my urine had glucose +1 in it... I'm so worried they going to tell me to cut out sugar! Anyone any tips? Apart from, obviously, cut down on sugar...? Right now all I want to do is scoff the ice cream in the freezer. Boo.

ilovemonstersInc · 06/05/2014 16:57

All in good portion sizes mssleepy.

still waiting for horace to come along and advice further this pain is horrible especially when im trying to sit om the loo for a wee or to pass stool. I had pain like this when I was told to get up and empty bladder during last labour and couldn't as it hurt too much. Its getting to hurting too much to do so. Just been loo and all the top of bump hurts.

HungryHorace · 06/05/2014 17:52

Monsters, I really don't know what could cause that. Sounds very painful though. Can you ring triage to see what they say?

Sorry for late reply, the joy of working full time. :-/

I'd definitely try to speak with someone sooner rather than later though. Hope it stops hurting soon. Xx

ilovemonstersInc · 06/05/2014 18:46

Its not constant pain, its just very tiring to feel like this.
I have an appointment on Thursday, tomorrow I have dietitian coming out to see ds1 (weigh him and sort out another feed plan) and Friday I have pump training for ds1 who is fed via tube and he gets new pump plus supplies on that day so cant have them keep me but obv if it gets worse will have to ring
also worrier if it is preterm labour then they wont do anything to help him until 24weeks which is Friday

flymo79 · 07/05/2014 08:26

so sorry monsters, sounds scary Sad, I would def. call triage though.

ilovemonstersInc · 07/05/2014 08:30

Managed to sleep. Going to ring triage after dietitian has been and ask if at the appointment tomorrow mw will do anything or will she just send me up ti triage to be monitored? If thats the case id rather not wait twice with 2 dc so will go up today during the day so im not coming back too late with the dc.

Cazbg · 07/05/2014 12:42

Hi All, not checked in for a while. 26 weeks today - time seems to be flying by.

mssleepyhead (how do you make it so that this links to someone?) - in relation to sugars, in general as well as cutting down on the obvious sugars it is usually the hidden ones that make the big difference, as in fruit sugars have a big impact especially things like fruit juice, also white flour etc.

I am finding that my the end of the day at the mo, I seem to be getting really bad lower rib pain - anyone else getting this?

Lollipop11 · 07/05/2014 12:53

Ohhhh please can I join in!? DC1 due August 14 team yellow :) X

ilovemonstersInc · 07/05/2014 16:16

Welcome lollipop

have more symptoms today Confused
tmi but on wiping there was a tiny bit of light pink jelly :( got me even more worried now. Just waiting for dh to come (will be here in an hour) and off to hospital.

Hes still kicking which is good. There wasnt anymore. Bump has just been tight. Got in the bath at mums as shes got the kids and im just taking it easy doing essential things ( feeding baby) as mum has her own toddler to look after which is why I dont want to leave my 2 with her. Not in any pain which is good. Bath relaxed me a lot

Jenbee1 · 07/05/2014 16:53

Fingers crossed everything is ok monsters x

Heatherbell1978 · 07/05/2014 18:47

Hi can I join the thread? DC1 due 15th August. Team Blue:-)

mssleepyhead · 07/05/2014 19:49

Just wanted to send a message of support, ilovemonstersinc. I hope you're ok x

HungryHorace · 08/05/2014 06:21

Hope you're ok, Monsters. Xx

Hi Heather and any other newbies I've missed! Welcome. :-)

I'm so tired at the moment and we are moving house this weekend. Don't feel prepared at all, and sleeping on the sofa in the evening instead of packing doesn't help. :-/

ilovemonstersInc · 08/05/2014 07:32

Waited 5hours for s dr to do a minute internal amd send me home Angry pains are like labour pains she said but cervix is closed which is what matters the most. Obv she said that can change anytime and anymore pink loss or pains come straight back. Which I wont until they are unbearable. They couldnt do that test which predicts if preterm labour will happen as im not far enough yet.
Thank you everyone

ilovemonstersInc · 08/05/2014 07:34

She did see some fluid which was swabbed. Could be infection causing pain

thatwhichwecallarose · 08/05/2014 10:21

Hope you get some answers monsters (or better still the pains just go!).

I've just had part one of my GTT - back in 2 hours for another blood test. At least she has taken my 28 week bloods, so one less thing for midwife to do later and I get one less stabbing! I love it when the nhs is joined up!

Hope everyone else is ok!

ilovemonstersInc · 08/05/2014 11:14

Ugh how are you feeling after that? I hate the gtt!

flymo79 · 08/05/2014 12:34

got my gtt on monday, not looking forward to fasting, I am ravenous by breakfast time (which is 6am in my house), test is at nine am.
So sorry to hear about your troubles monsters, I really hope you don't get any more discharge.
Horace, good luck with the move!
Did anyone else see our very own FriendofDorothy's comment made the MSN best and worst baby buys list clicky

thatwhichwecallarose · 08/05/2014 14:13

Gtt was fine. Hope to not hear from them, but will be within a week if there are any problems.

Was feeling a little lightheaded by the end though. And no tea or toast?! With dd they at lest fed you after. Bloomin nhs cuts Grin

Off the see midwife and get to hear baby's heartbeat soon! It's all go here!

FriendofDorothy · 08/05/2014 14:58

Ooo I am famous! I hadn't even noticed that. Thanks Flymo!

I have seriously painful hips today. Have just packed The Mister, his parents and The Little Mister off to the supermarket and I am just finishing off some cooking and I am going to lie down.

eurochick · 08/05/2014 15:26

I had my 24 week mw check today. All seemed well and centime gave the doppler a few lively swipes again. He/she really doesn't like being spied on!

The results of my pee test from last week have come through and do show some sort of infection, but they didn't test it to identify which. The results took more than a week and I feel fine now, so we are repeating the test before I take antibiotics to see if the gallons of water I have been drinking have managed to kick it without drugs.
