Starting a new thread for August babies.

Hello and congratulations those with babes in arms, my little one arrives Thursday be ELCS.

This is my 3rd Mumsnet pregnancy and although it sounds like people have had fun on the Facebook page, it's not my thing, and as such, it's been the most un-Mumsnetty pregnancy for me as I always liked the anonymity of the threads.

So I'll add the news here, but couldn't go without commenting on the thread as it's felt like a ghost thread and pinboard rather than the lovely chat threads I have experienced in other pregnancies, post-natal and miscarriage threads.

Bunny I agree I like the anonymity of this thread but suxh a shame its not that busy. Ive been on September thread since I found out I was pg and theres at least 5 people on a day!

BunnyBaby, caught your post on the main MN summary of posts in the last 15 mins. If you aren't happy with FB, you could always sneak onto September thread... no one will notice There's a few babies popping out there already anyway.

On monitor. His heart rate is up again. Highest was 217 with decels :(

That must be scary, monsters, but you're in the right place and hopefully being well cared for. What have the doctors said?

bunny I agree. I've been lurking but otherwise keeping up with my other postnatal MN thread instead.
It probably means I've spent a little less time on MN which is not always a bad thing

Baby Helena arrived on Monday, 8lb (3640g) 52 cm. Stunningly quick labour once it got going, after my waters broke, she arrived less than two hours later!

I was induced in the end as I was 12 days over. Here they start to jitter at +7 and +10 is normally their upper limit.

Congrats to everyone who has their LO! Trying to post while feeding DD and DS has decided he wants to sit on me too

Congrats Mrs Nutella, I don't even think there is a postnatal thread here, so like you have been keeping up with my old threads.

Had to go in for monitoring today due to unstable lie and contractions, all looked ok and calmed down so still on for elective on Thursday. Baby so breech today she is almost sat up inside of me! lol x

I had baby monstersinc this afternoon at 2.47pm.
He weighed 9lb5!
Waters broke at about 8ish I think. Contractions started properly at10ish and I was scarwd so stopped myself pushing when I needwd to.

Then I thought fuck it. Lets go with the flow and let my body take over. Best thing I did! Within 2 pushes he was born. Took t the breast straight away.

Sounds V similar to DD's arrival. Fast and sort of scary and then suddenly it's sort of beyond your control and it's done. except I was also very loud, loud enough to bring the dr and other midwife on duty running in

Ahhhh it wasn't me mooing shouting it was that my MW asked DH to pull the emergency cord because DS was arriving. Still don't know why exactly though

Mrs that's exactly what it was!
babys bilirubin levels are high 250. 255 is said to be dangerous and 204 is ok.
He has to have more bloood done later at hospital. Community mw did bloods this morning and got results within an hour
