Helloooo!
I’m back from my family holiday and have finally caught up on all I’ve missed. We can certainly rattle through these threads! I love the term ‘drop zone’ I’ve taken to using it in real life, less than 4 weeks to mine!

Xavi Awww that’s lovely, glad you enjoyed yourself.

Choppa Snap, I had a moment in Asda today! Blush

Isean You’re in the best place, I hope you are able to relax and rest. I think we are all there with you. X

Dobe I had a BabyBjorn last time and didn’t really get on with it so I’ve just purchased a wrap sling to see how I get on with that. Babies look so snuggling in them and like the idea of keeping her close and bf easily whilst she’s in it. We’ll see if we both enjoy it when the time comes.

Welcome Moomin35 I might be joining you at the back too, my DS was 42 weeks cooking. I guess what will be will be, I’m hoping for a little shorter this time….4-9 weeks I keep telling myself.

And hello to Chatty too

I did have a lovely holiday with my family but I feel like I’ve hit the wall now. Everything is getting tougher and I hate it when people ask me if I’m ok because I don’t like moaning. Like a lot of you; sleep is broken, acid is bad, bony baby is very uncomfortable, I can’t seem to eat very much in one go I’m just hungry every few hours, I’ve been sick a few time recently, I’ve perfected my waddle, I’ve had thrush from 7 weeks pg (can only use creams until I give birth which don’t work) and I’m so sick of feeling short of breath if I bend over. Wow, good to get all that out!
I feel so luck to be PG, both my children are the result of fertility treatment. DP keeps reminding me I wouldn't have it any other way which is so true, but I am so ready to have my body back!

Hope all you Mummies and soon to be Mummies are suitably pampered tomorrow. I think DP & DS are cooking me a slap up meal hopefully while I barely more form the sofa.

Thanks Happy Mother's Day! Thanks

Isean · 29/03/2014 23:09

I am so grateful for our MN Maybies club, you have all kept me going & reassured me & listened & advised & made me laugh & answered the questions I hadn't dared to ask in real life & become my virtual pregnancy friend group & I want to thank you all for being here!

No change with things here, was stable all day but hardly moved from the bed! Will see what tonight brings & what the consultant thinks in the morning!

Thanks everyone! xx

ClearlyMoo · 30/03/2014 04:29

Oooh I'm the first post midnight poster here this eve! That's great news means everyone is sleeping hopefully?!

Isean awhhhh bless you. I too find Maybies a helpful and understanding bunch! Isean I'm glad you're in the right place being looked after! Thank you for updating us!

Welcome Moomin35 and other newbies. Thanks for joining us!

Apologies if we confuse you by just saying "Moomin", we're going to have to sort ourselves out with three of you on board! Moomin usually refers to our wonderful (if scarry) student chum whose baby is due at the end of April. We will have to focus harder on the differentiators in your names!! Do bear with us!

Up for a wee, thirsty, hip sore. Gah! Shattered so hopefully will get back to sleep! It's DN Christening today, DH is Godfather. I've not wrapped the present yet! I'm going to have to be creative with wrapping paper it's a big present!

Sleep tight you lot. Shock

xaveli your shower sound lovely! What thoughtful friends/family!

Hugs to vikks, jelly, clearly hope the pain eased off and u got a good night's sleep.

Cake to choppy re the leaky pee episode, it is a glamorous business isn't it!!

Just off for 3rd day of polo in a row (practise Fri, tournament started yesterday) dh and team en route to the wooden spoon but never mind!!

Lots of little bubbas on the sidelines yesterday.... can't quite believe how soon it is till little bushbaby will be joining them!

Have a great day one and all!

mamapants · 30/03/2014 08:01

Can't remember who asked about slings/ carriers. We were given an ergo as a present when we had DS and loved it. So comfy and DS loved it, meant we could go out and about whenever we wanted as he'd sleep in it.
Glad you are being looked after isean keep your feet up and let everyone look after you.
DP has now got lots of holiday leave over next few weeks so can help me get everything done and with DS. I still have 11days left at work over next 4 weeks.
Can't wait to be finished.

McBaby · 30/03/2014 08:33

I loved my ergo and carried DD around all day every day for months in to Central London as pushchair was a massive pain. Only stopped when SPD with this pregnancy made it to uncomfortable!

Hated my baby bjorn worst invention ever. So uncomfortable for both of us.

Borrowing a stretchy wrap for first few weeks as the new born insert looks a bit bulky and hot.

Happy Mother's Day everyone.

MoominIsWaitingToMeetHerMiniMe · 30/03/2014 09:18

Hope everyone slept well last night :)

Clearly I read that as "scary" at first!! Grin

Welcome fellow moomin!

Vikks · 30/03/2014 10:17

Hope everyone is having a special day. Thanks
My DS (3yrs) just gave me the loveliest card with his 'best' writing on. He said it was from him and baby Olivia. Cue water works, I'm so emotional I can't take this level of cuteness!
Have a lovely day all, feet up!

moobaloo · 30/03/2014 10:29

Happy Mothers Day!

Cake and Thanks to all!

Thank goodness for the Maybies!

dobedobedo · 30/03/2014 11:40

Thanks happy Mother's day Thanks

I hope you're all enjoying your day!
Ds and dh got me some chocs and a gorgeous frame for our bedroom. Ds also made me a roller coaster on minecraft Grin As the car went along the track, there were signs with a poem on it about me being the best mum that he wrote.
I can't remember the exact words but a bit of it was about how sorry he is for making me sick when I was pregnant with him as he can see how awful it is when Jesse makes me sick! Grin bless!

I'm off for a nap!

Jellymum1 · 30/03/2014 15:15

aww happy mothers day all. my 4yo dd gave me a card she made and my hub had stuck a poem inside and I just cried and cried...my poor 4yo looked so confused until I could get words out to explain they were happy tears. poor thing

Xavielli · 30/03/2014 15:27

Having a lovely day here :) got handmade cards from all the kids and daffodils from playgroup and brownies. DP got up this morning and said he was nipping out to get me something fr

Xavielli · 30/03/2014 15:29

From the little two as he hadn't had chance yet. As they'd all made something and I got so much choc/smellies at my shower yesterday I told him it was the thought that counts and took him to bed and ravaged him instead Blush

Chip86 · 30/03/2014 16:10

Question
im 34 weeks and having bh they were across top of belly now at bottom of bump and painful with back pain do you think this is labour?

Xavielli · 30/03/2014 16:13

If you can talk and move during them they're probably just BH. Time them too and if they become regular think about phoning someone xx

Vikks · 30/03/2014 16:57

How's it going Chip? Are they any worse?
Ring your labour ward for advice if it puts you mind at ease. x

dobedobedo · 30/03/2014 18:19

chip I've had a few very painful braxton hicks, but they always fade away and I can talk during. How are you feeling now?

PotatoPolly · 30/03/2014 18:25

Painful BH have started over here too, kept me awake most of the night, but stayed irregular and have eased off during the day- how are you doing chip?

Choppa · 30/03/2014 18:45

Glad it's not only me peeing my pants! Actually thought about tena lady for a micro second and then gave myself a talking to!!

Going to try to get the nippa to bed now but it is really early due to clocks...will be interesting!

Xav...baby shower sounds lovely :)

Happy Mother's Day all xx

Chip86 · 30/03/2014 19:04

Thanks for the advice, Tried to time them but they are constant not really coming and going there always there, so as we are at my parents and ment to be driving 1.5 hours home tonight and i dont want to give birth on M25, we popped in to hospital so glad i have my notes, they are montering me just waiting for doctor to look and see if i am dialating yay but more worried that im due to do my legs next weekend Blush

Xavielli · 30/03/2014 20:34

Aww chip you poor thing :( what you describe sounds more urine/bladder infection-y than labour-y. Hope they sort you soon and you can get home safe xx

impatientlywaiting · 30/03/2014 21:08

Hope you are feeling better soon Chip.

This weekend has been baby class crazy with a full day NCT yesterday and then half day class about labour and birth at our hospital. Plus lots of visiting relatives. Nice but very very busy.

Hope everyone is doing well. I'm still feeling pretty okay at 35+4, bad back getting up from chairs/sofa but nothing major. I feel like I still have a long way to go before I give birth and I'm imagining that I'm going to go 2 weeks overdue and be induced. But sure why I'm feeling that? Know quite a few from this thread know the date their babies will arrive already, but what about everyone else? Do you think you'll be early, on time or late?

SarahJinx · 30/03/2014 21:47

impatiently I have this totally irrational feeling that i'll go two weeks over like last time. No reason whatsoever, but the thought of anything happening "early" is totally unreal!

chip hope you're ok and find out what's happening soon.

Wonderful day today, lunch went perfectly, had my family over for pigging and then lazing around the garden. DS just giggled all day and it was joyous, I'm feeling all a bit blessed and serene ....calm before the storm!

Hope all Maybie mummies and mummies to be have been spoilt today x

chattychattyboomba · 30/03/2014 21:50

Hello all and happy Mothers Day! Thanks
Hope everyone is feeling well today.
I had a lovely day. Lie in this morning, pink tulips from DD who came in screaming "I dot you fwowers! Happy muvvas day mummy!" (Still with price tag on haha!)
Separate cards from DH and DD. She drew a very good likeness of me... Giant head, 3 eyes, nose, wobbly smile, ears and a whisper of hair... Plus 2 legs with knobbly knees- she's not yet 3! (Stealth boast). And DH wrote a lovely message then gave me a bottle of perfume. Yay!
Followed by pub lunch...
Got home and had a few intense tummy pains which resulted in throwing back up my lunch Confused but feeling ok now.

Impatiently waiting- in answer to your question, as soon as I hit 38 weeks I will be doing everything I can to get this baby out! So hoping I don't go over as I mentioned in a PP dd1 was 10.5lbs and I can't afford for her to keep getting bigger... I am referring to the peeing of pants situation that some have already made mention (glad I am not alone in that too!!)
