Good luck psynl Easter Grin you'll be FINE and I'm so jealous!

Everyone complaining about Braxton Hicks, GOD I'm totally with you. They're pretty constant during the day now, not so much at night though. They're so uncomfortable that there a bit hard to talk through, is that a Sign?

ClearlyMoo · 16/04/2014 05:51

MrsFC mine are same, bad in evenings and yes hard to talk through, then ease off over night and not so bad in morning! I think I'll be still preggo in 5 weeks at this rate! At least I'll be used to BH by then!

Hope all goes well pysnl

Good luck psynl!!!

Choppa · 16/04/2014 07:39

Hey all.

Finally I have finished work....such a nice feeling! Had lovely flowers and pressies from colleagues and left feeling like handover went well. Just chilling with DS now.

Still have some stuff to buy this week but nearly there! Baby was head down at scan last week (was breech before) so back on for home birth. Seeing midwife tomorrow to get it booked. I think they will come to the house next week (I'll be 37 weeks) to get me to sign my life away!!

No real symptoms here... I think this baby will arrive around his due date! This is fine by me as I do want a bit of downtime beforehand.

Moomin... Congrats on the arrival of Callie. She is gorgeous! On the feeding....it's really bloody hard. I really struggled with the latch and a lot of pain with DS. I realise that I didn't seek enough help at the time so if you do want to bf you really have to seek out some practical help. If ff is right for you then you have to give yourself a break. One of my biggest regrets first time round was making myself miserable over my inability to breast feed him! I missed out on quality time with my newborn cos I felt guilty! I really want to avoid feeling like that this time so my plan is to use the la Leche league and local bf support via midwife in first few days to get a good start, but if it doesn't work I won't be beating myself up. Easier said than done though I know.

Congrats to our other new mummies too. How fabulous that our Maybies are arriving all so far so good :)

Xx

Woweeeeee congratulations mamas (and papas). Loving the pics over on facebook, makes me so excited. Bet your babies smell lush!
Going in today to get booked in for c-section, still aaaaaaages to wait though, want him here now.
About breastfeeding, it's the hardest bloody thing I ever did, dd was a terrible feeder and I had a really fast flow. Feeding lying down worked well! I'm not being judgey at all and it's your bodies but it DOES get better. Saying that though, this time around I don't think I would be such a martyr about it, I was so determined to do it that I exhausted myself! Good luck x

wm3010 · 16/04/2014 08:23

Congratulations to all the new mummies, so much has been happening in the last few days that I can't keep up! The photos are making me feel very weepy, one minute can't wait for the little one to the arrive and the next minute I feel I am not ready, I suppose that's all normal the first time round?

Last day at work for me tomorrow (37 weeks exactly), things have been super-busy so it is not going to be the handover I had hoped for but I am just going to have to accept that it's not my problem for a good while.

Anyway, psynl hope all goes well for you today!

Minions · 16/04/2014 08:41

All the very best for today psynl, can't wait to 'meet' the next group baby!

wm, I think you're feelings are totally normal. I felt quite mixed between excited/terrified particularly at the beginning of mat leave. It's such a change and so much coming! I'm in my third week of Mat leave and while I still get a bit nervous I'm feeling much more excited. Enjoy your time and all the getting ready bits, it is fun Easter Smile

wm3010 · 16/04/2014 08:48

Thanks minions, I guess at least with work out of the way that will be one less thing to worry about!

impatientlywaiting · 16/04/2014 08:50

Good luck psynl, not long to wait now. Thinking of you.

MasterFlea · 16/04/2014 09:42

dobedobedo · 16/04/2014 10:22

Thinking of you psynl! Thanks

I'm just back from tesco. Why do I insist on going to that hell hole?! Hmm I've told ds one of his friends can come round today but I wish I hadn't, I'm so so tired. I have to go and finally get my whooping cough jab now. Eek! Not a needle fan!

Hope everyone is doing well with symptom spotting etc. I can't believe our babies are finally all arriving! I remember back before the 12 week scan days. Seems so long ago now!

ohdearitshappeningtome · 16/04/2014 10:47

Wahoo pysnl!!! Hope everything goes ok xxx

MoominAndMiniMoom · 16/04/2014 10:50

ClearlyMoo · 16/04/2014 11:07

Waiting at home for Health Visitor Ante natal visit! What's she going to ask?! I had my booking appt withMW at home so they know it's an acceptable environment! I've got no questions for her either. Downstairs is tidy enough and I've made dragged duvet over our bed. Nursery very much still work in progress!

She's currently one hour PLUS late and I'm lunching with my Mum at 12.30, need to go out at 12! Feel like I can't properly get doing anything!

Hope things are going ok pnsyl!

Moomin the heel prick'll be fine! Enjoy Callie-time x

Chip86 · 16/04/2014 11:40

Minions that is great so funny and very sadly all true nice to know we are not on our own

PotatoPolly · 16/04/2014 12:00

Didn't see the post re frozen pads, but thank you! Will be making a note of that one!
Definitely nesting, think DH is worried, I'm so untidy normally!
Anyone else suffered with nose bleeds? My left nostril feels like it's about to explode :(

ClearlyMoo · 16/04/2014 12:27

Health visitor finally arrived! Was very friendly just making sure I knew stuff like breast feeding and house temperature how to make up baby's bed etc how many blankets required! She did comment she thought my baby would be huge! Nice. Told me to put my feet up and cook some food for the freezer!

moobaloo · 16/04/2014 13:07

Good luck Psynl! Hopefully you're enjoying newborn snuggles right now!

Potato - I have had lots of nosebleeds and bloody mucus when I blow my nose (nice!) grim isn't it!? Sorry you are too!

Can someone reassure me please! Had mw yesterday and bump hadn't grown in 2 weeks, she's referred me for a growth scan but it isn't for a week. I know it could be nothing and tape measures and inaccurate etc but I googled (bad) and am now worrying I could have low fluid and if I do will the baby be ok for a week? What if he gets dehydrated or gets an infection before the scan?? To top it off I'm now worrying about movements, he was moving while I was in bed this morning but I was overthinking and worrying if they were normal movements, and. Ow I've sat down and drunk a glass of water and he's not doing anything. He doesn't move a huge amount anyway so normally I'm never worried about movements, but because of this small bump I'm worrying over every little thing. How am I going to get through the next week?!

dobedobedo · 16/04/2014 13:38

moo count kicks for the next couple of hours. If you don't get any, call labour ward. Chances are, baby is being lazy, but the midwives would much rather you went in for a check than sit at home panicking.

I'm going for a growth scan tomorrow. Two weeks ago, baby was measuring at 37 weeks, yet yesterday baby measured just under 36 weeks. I'm trying not to freak out too. Have you stopped work recently? Maybe you're just less swollen now than you were before? Or baby might be in a different position.

I think the best thing to do is to NOT GOOGLE and just keep an eye on movements. I'm sure everything is fine. These babies turn us into a neurotic mess. Confused

psynl · 16/04/2014 14:15

Baby boy born at 9.44am weighing 8lb 1oz. As yet unnamed. He is absolutely beautiful. Had undiagnosed placenta previa so had quite a large blood loss. Having snuggles as I type with a very sleepy boy. I had to share the news with you guys because nobody in real life knows it's all happened!

dobedobedo · 16/04/2014 14:30

Congratulations psnyl! Sorry to hear about the blood loss, hopefully you don't feel too bad now.

I'm so jealous of all these babies!

moobaloo · 16/04/2014 14:34

Congratulations Psynl! Hope all goes well with your recovery!!
