Aaah she's gorgeous lamu

Is the name Arya? If so that was in my top 3, it's so beautiful!

As you say, no rush and you have 6 weeks til you have to register

MasterFlea · 15/04/2014 15:49

What a beauty Lamu! Lovely photo.

Sounded like such a quick and easy child birth. I'm very envious!

Moomin great to hear about how positive you are for your labour too. My notes from DD2 were ridiculously short too even though I was in the hospital for hours and hours. They have a strange way of counting.

I woke in a panic last night thinking my waters had broken. I think it'll be happening more often after reading Lamu's experience. 35+5 today. I wish I wasn't so anxious about it all.

MrsFooCough · 15/04/2014 16:37

Hello all!
Congratulations to everyone who's popped out their Maybie since I last did a round of congratulations! Flowers Wine

Due to see the midwives NEXT Wednesday, and have a scan and obstetrician appointment. I'm still just on 1000mg twice daily metformin, sugar levels have zoomed down again to where the midwives and nurses are happy with them, which is nice. Think Leo/Grace will be arriving early of his/her own accord even with the early induction!! Haha! It would be nice to maybe have my cervix be a little bit ready for the hormones rather than them giving me the pessary/drip and my poor cervix having to come from nothing! Could take hours as I'm sure you all know and I AM BUGGERED IF THEY'RE SENDING MY HUSBAND HOME. Grrrrrr.
Starting to get a bit This Is Actually Happening now...Confused

Oh and we've sorted out the vintage Silver Cross pram my mum was in when she was born in 1957! It was done up for me in 1988 and now we're doing more little bits, ordered a new mattress and brake pads and stuff. Here it is thus far (pic included) Grin

GoT inspired name sounds like a good plan Lamu, now that is a story for her when she's older! She's gorgeous too :)

All my memories of it are just positive and happy. Wondered if I'd blocked out any bad bits but OH and mum both said it was just totally positive, and the midwife notes definitely back that up. If anyone does feel they were a bit spaced out for the birth, I'd definitely recommend getting as many notes as possible.

bushprincess · 15/04/2014 17:01

wow!! congratulations Lamu!!! thats amazing news and hope you get out this eve. Enjoy your easter full of snuggles!!

So thats 5 maybies now?? amazing!!

Met my Doula yesterday which was great and community midwife coming next week to do a home check, then we just need to wait for DH to get over here and all will be set for bushbabys arrival - getting v.excited now!!!

Thanks to all

ClearlyMoo · 15/04/2014 17:17

Massive congrats to all the Maybies with babies!

Not much to report here. My random pains and twinges now mainly stopped... Suppose it's a good thing as I'm only 36+3!

Oh BornIn/OhDear. Poor baby! Hope he gets well soon.

Oof - think I've over done it today sorting our bedroom. Having some interesting contractions this evening.

loopylou52 · 15/04/2014 19:30

Sorry to hear baby is poorly ohdear. Wishing him a speedy recovery and that you get to go home soon.

Sorry to hear about the sickness clearly. Hope you're feeling better soon, or it is a good sign.

impatientlywaiting · 15/04/2014 19:42

Ah Bornin, thinking of little Noah, hold he gets better soon.

MrsFooCough · 15/04/2014 20:01

Careful xav haha!!!

kally195 · 15/04/2014 21:19

I swear this baby is trying to stick her get through my abdomen wall. Ow!

Feeling much better today - still full of nasty sore throat and cough but feel much less pahetic. Thank you for all the lovely reassurance yesterday xx

Midwife tomorrow, and I find out if my iron has picked up enough to be signed off for the MLU. Very keen to find out what position she is in too. DH keeps insisting that if she turned breech I would know about it, but the bump feels quite different over the last couple of days. Don't know if it is because she has shifted, or of she has just gone down lower into my pelvis. Hiccups are still down in my groin, which I guess is a good thing?

So exciting that new babies are appearing!

kally195 · 15/04/2014 21:20

Feet, not get...

MoominAndMiniMoom · 15/04/2014 21:41

sore boobs!! milk has come in and I just cried at a formula advert for being 'smug', it's true that bf is best and they have to say that but I feel like I'm failing Callie :(

kally195 · 15/04/2014 21:46

moomin you are NOT FAILING your amazing daughter! Remember your hormones are doing crazy, crazy things and give yourself a break xxx

ohdearitshappeningtome · 15/04/2014 23:00

Moomin, I've just spent today expressing into a syringe so mini me cAn have ebm, but I told nurses today that I wNt to bottle feed so I can get his blood sugars stable!

Chip86 · 15/04/2014 23:10

Luma wow thats amazing and she is beautiful congratulations

moomin you sound like your doing a great job dont worry you will get there

hugs to everyone else not well or struggleling x

ClearlyMoo · 15/04/2014 23:18

Do Braxton hicks make you want to swear?! I've thrown up and had a touch of the runs. Got weird lower abdominal cramps that are sporadic but hurt a lot. I never swear. They make me want to swear! Confused Too so for this Maybie, not due for another 24 days, plus it's my birthday on Thursday and I don't feel ready. Mum is travelling to take me shopping tomorrow! Eeeek. Hoping I'll fall asleep and all the pain will stop. Erm.

Sorry for selfish post

Well done for expressing BornIn/OhDear

Moomin. It's your body your choice. Plenty of formula fed babies in the world.

Congrats Lamu! Sounds like a super quick arrival.

Hope Noah is ok soon 'ohdear' and that you're recovering from the section.

Sounds like the start of labour clearly, good luck!

So, alyss, moomin, ohdear, pixie and lamu all have their babies?! Eek, it's all too real! Who's next? ;)

sambababy · 16/04/2014 01:10

clearly who was it told you you would have the baby early? Maybe they were right! I've heard a clear out is a sign. My Braxton hicks have been very strong and frequent but never painful.

Have to try out one of these bunny icons Easter Smile

kally195 · 16/04/2014 01:26

Bleurgh. clearly I can really sympathise with you. Just woke up and had to waddle really fast run to the bathroom to be sick. Have been feeling quite bloated and uncomfortable for the past couple of days, so I think it's to do with this coldy thing. Think I might be giving food a miss tomorrow...

psynl · 16/04/2014 04:47

Congrats to those whose babies have arrived since I last posted.
Today it's my turn! I've got to be at the hospital in a couple of hours and should have a baby by half 9. Feel so nervous!
