Wow congratulations to the latest maybies Smile Love the names too!

Sorry to hear so many of you are feeling ill! coughing during pregnancy is the worst!

Lovely pic moomin and awesome speedy labour too! I'm hoping for 10mins pushing too this time rather than the 4 hours I had last time! Much better for the pelvic floor Wink

How are you feeling now kally?

Love the names hobb Isla was on my list for a girl for years, but now we have a good friend called Islay so not going to use it Sad

SarahJinx · 15/04/2014 07:16

Argh!

Sounds like you had a bit of a time of it with ending up with GA.

I had a terrible night, had to resort to codeine again, felt like fanjo was on fire. Added to that, went for 3am wee, checked on FS and he wasn't in his bed, freaked about a bit, couldn't see him, till noticed he was under a pile of his bedding in the corner of the room, he must of sleep walked. He then came in with us at half five, really unsettled and unlike him . i Can barely walk this morning.

dobedobedo · 15/04/2014 07:26

I'm in the hospital now after a 5am panic that I couldn't get baby to move with ice water or changing positions or anything. Barely slept all night through trying to feel movements! I was in a right state by the time I got here Blush

Thankfully baby seems fine, but they want to arrange for a scan cos measurements are a bit off. Confused hope everything is okay. Could I have developed diabetes after being tested for it at 26 weeks?

SarahJinx · 15/04/2014 07:32

H no dobedo must have been so scary, thank The Lord all is ok. I had another GTT at 32 weeks so guess you must be able to?

Hope you're ok x

Minions · 15/04/2014 07:56

Congratulations ohdearbornin, welcome Noah! Hope he does well today and the tests come back with good results. Must be a bit scary, hope you're doing ok.

Glad baby is ok dobe, another scary time. I can't wait to actually be able to see baby & know it's ok - could do with a hatch on our bumps for checking...

Hope pixie is ok. And I think psynl is next?

PotatoPolly · 15/04/2014 08:39

Congratulations new mamas! Coming in thick and fast now Grin

Hobb, another likely Ethan over here, potentially with Peter as a middle name too! How strange!

Dobe hope you're able to get some rest now.

Thanks Thanks For anyone feeling rough!

Chip86 · 15/04/2014 08:58

Wow its so exciting all these new babies they are all so lovely

wow moomin that was quick

hope everyone else is ok today and has a nice tuesday

NannyPlumForPM · 15/04/2014 09:18

Congratulations ohdear it's like love in a whole other league isn't it Grin am on my final countdown!!! 5 days eeeeek....

Hope the scan is ok dobe I think you can get it later on- it just develops- but more likely they want to check the fluid and things :)

dobedobedo · 15/04/2014 09:29

Home now, but I have to go back in when they call me for a scan. The baby is actually measuring smaller than he was 2 weeks ago, so they want to check him out.
Dh thinks it could just be that I'm less swollen now as I've finished work, so fingers crossed he's right.
The midwives were all lovely, we had ds with us and they gave him a little sofa and blanket and he fell asleep.

I'm knackered now!

Does anyone know how pixie is doing? Also, who's next for baby?

impatientlywaiting · 15/04/2014 09:49

You must be shattered Dobe, hopefully you get some kip before a chance to see the baby again.

We have a picture and an update on Facebook from Pixie!! All very exciting. Hopefully she'll pop on this thread soon to give an update too.

Lamu · 15/04/2014 09:58

moomin I was about to post how envious I was about your 2 hr 49 minutes labour just after midnight then got a bit side tracked. Hmm

Although I lurk more than I post , I thought I'd give a quick update.

So my waters gushed a little last night right after the well deserved death of King Jeoffrey Game Of Thrones addict after waiting for MIL to come and look after Dd1, we headed off to the hospital, got there just after 12.15, thinking I'd be sent home after some monitoring. Anyway after discussion with the consultant they decided to keep me in over night for monitoring. They were concerned that I was only 36+4. cue me being slightly pissed off that I wasn't in my own bed for the night, had a bit of a sulk as they sent DH home. No sooner had he got home and changed into his pjs, was I then calling him to get back asap. He got back with about 15 mins to spare. Dd 2 was born at 3.57am, weighing 5lbs 14, she came after 4 pushes! Only a slight graze down below, with a little codeine then gas and air. I'm so chuffed I managed especially after the horrendous time I had with Dd1.

Oh wow Lamu, what an amazing birth story. Can't believe how quick it was.

Huge congratulations to you and your DH. Enjoy your newborn snuggles.

CurlsLDN · 15/04/2014 10:23

Wow lamu that's amazing, congratulations! Does that class as a sneeze birth?

As baby is a bit early will he or she have to stay in for a bit?

dobedobedo · 15/04/2014 10:29

Wow Lamu! Congratulations! That sounds so quick! How's the littleun now?

ohdearitshappeningtome · 15/04/2014 10:42

Awe lots of maybies. Just tried
To feed him but he isn't my friend- going to try and sleep instead xx

Lamu · 15/04/2014 10:52

Ahhh thanks guys! Still a bit shocked tbh, it's all happened so quickly. One minute we were talking of a last minute break for the easter wkend and spending some quality time together. Booked a spa, pregnancy massage, pamper session Hmm and now sitting here snuggling tiny Dd2 Smile.

She's doing really well and she latched on within the first hr. She's having a bit of a hard time regulating her temperature so she's in a heated cot, they still need to do a few checks before moving us to the dreaded post natal ward, apart from that it's all good. I'm angling to be discharged this evening, given there's been no complications. But it's a case of wait and see.

Wishing everyone best of luck and looking forward to more squiggly bundles on here!

hobbjobb · 15/04/2014 11:40

Congrats lamu what an amazing birth story. Do you want to share her name?

Good name taste polly Grin

I just had my growth scan and baby hobb is fine, but his/her tummy measurement is off the scale, eek. They estimate weight at 6lbs already at 34+2 so I'm def having a little chunk!
No one seemed that worried though so I'm staying calm.
I think it's looking like a 38wk induction for me if baby doesn't come before that.

But I've been signed off by the consultant and just need to see diabetes team tomorrow to discuss medication, my numbers have been getting worse and worse...

moobaloo · 15/04/2014 12:55

Brain like a sieve...

Congratulations ohdear and pixie and now lamu!

Good god we've got babies flying out all over the place!

Hope the feeding goes well all of you and enjoy the snuggles!

Minions · 15/04/2014 13:03

Congratulations lamu, lovely news! Glad birth was straight forward & you get home soon :)

loopylou52 · 15/04/2014 13:07

Wow, congratulations lamu, can't believe all these babies arriving all the time now!

moomin - it seems so mean that they say your official labour was so short when you were having pains for so long before then, but I don't imagine any of that matters now you have little Callie in your arms. Smile

MoominAndMiniMoom · 15/04/2014 13:53

Congrats lamu that's an amazing story! And very jealous of your slight graze, the bruising has well and truly come out today for me and I'm so sore!

loopy I think they counted it from when they broke my waters... I'll be honest I don't remember much, I slept between every contraction even when they were coming every couple of minutes and lasting a minute and a half Grin woke for every contraction but barely remember them... gas and air is wonderful stuff Grin And you're totally right, Callie's cuddling her daddy at the minute with these big wide eyes and none of the pain matters a bit. Although I know I'm lucky to have had such a positive experience, what I do remember of it is great :)

sambababy · 15/04/2014 13:57

Congratulations lamu! I guess these bubs really do come when they're ready.

moomin 2hrs 49? Shock What do they classify as the start of labour then? You must've progressed v quickly once it kicked off.

ohdear let us know how the tests go. I'm glad to hear you're over the moon in love Smile

sambababy · 15/04/2014 13:58

Cross post!

Lamu · 15/04/2014 14:07

Hobb Still waiting for DH to pull his finger out and agree with my Game Of Thrones inspired name. Grin No seriously, we've been taken a little by surprise and she doesn't quite look like any of our top three choices, plenty of time over easter to decide.

moobaloo · 15/04/2014 14:20

Ahhhhh lamu she's gorgeous! A game of thrones inspired name would be quite appropriate for her I think Grin

Must be such a reality shock when your labour is as unexpected and quick as that!
