Hi all, I have my BFP and due 30th October. It's my third baby and was 2 weeks late with the last two so bound to be November.

Anybody else for November yet? I know it's very very early :)

greenstone I jumped into the scales today and I've list another couple of lb although I've got a defined bloated belly lol

alita7 · 21/03/2014 12:15

Beetle I found the cheap Internet ones reassuring when I was first spotting as they get darker the more hcg you have, though they stop getting darker about 6 weeks as they reach their limit.

Greenstone I have to go to nandos on Sunday for someone's birthday... not sure how that will go :/

Random you need a she wee :p I don't think I'd manage that journey!

As other people are putting down their stats/ info, I'm from berkshire, this is my first though I have 3 stepdaughters and me and DP have decided to have a small wedding in the summer :)

Greenstone · 21/03/2014 12:16

Beetle good lord do a wee! If all is well it should show up straight away.

moggle · 21/03/2014 12:18

not officially on this thread yet at 5wks4days but beetle I would say avoid the conception indicator ones (had a bit of unnecessary upset caused today by them) but the pregnant/not pregnant ones should be fine.

moggle · 21/03/2014 12:21

But remember the digi ones are less sensitive than most line ones, and there is a wide variety of 'fine' hcg levels at 5 weeks. Argh roll on early scans!

Hopeful83 · 21/03/2014 12:50

Docpepper I'm so sorry to hear that. Big hugs.

Thanks for all the messages everyone, just had my scan and apparently all is fine Smile I saw the heartbeat and they don't know what's causing the bleeding but said it might be an infection and they've taken a swab to see.

Northernexile · 21/03/2014 13:14

Hello everyone, can I (tentatively) join please? I had my BFP on Tuesday, think I'm due around the 23rd

I'm 33 and this is pg no. 2, DD was 2 at the end of Feb.

Haven't read all the thread as it's so big already, but congrats to everyone else, and Thanks to those having a tough time.

RandomInternetStranger · 21/03/2014 13:29

Greenstone it was very surreal! I had to strip them of human being status and just view them as a string of DNA. Did I think that physical entity would mix well with mine and create a good looking physically healthy person, did these genetics have strengths where I am weaker to hopefully balance mine, did his core psychological make up seem sound and balanced, is his family tree's medical history something I can live with and expose my child to...? It was like interviewing for a very strange job position. Then it was really weird also having to shut off the automatic "do I fancy him" reflex every time I met a man - it didn't matter if I fancied him, in fact it's better if I don't as I didn't want any of those complicated emotions getting in the way, I just needed to think would his genes mix well with mine. I hope I chose well!! Smile

WhatWouldCaitlinDo · 21/03/2014 13:46

Just joining... Found out on Weds. Still in shock - delighted, but very surprised. Also very nervous as I have had two M/Cs. Fingers crossed, just taking one day at a time at the moment.

Annarose2014 · 21/03/2014 14:15

Well at 7 weeks I appear to have reached a weepy stage. I suspect it's a mix of hormones, exhaustion (have to get up for work at 6am, & am not back till 9.30pm) and constant nausea.

Add to that my DH is having to travel a lot for work and is quite worn out too so it seems like we're two depressing little hamsters in a never ending wheel atm. And I can't even have a glass of fucking wine whilst watching The Good Wife!

I'm just worn out and feel quite sorry for myself!

I tell myself its really lousy of me to feel like this when some of us on this thread have already lost this chance, but its not really working. Almost wish this weren't happening - I dont feel any sense of a baby existing at all, just that I'm ill and overwhelmed and what the Hell have I done??!

I've just realised this morning also that I'm dreading telling my folks. Whilst nice ppl, they are very elderly and paranoid and fearful and highly anxious. They'll be thrilled for 5 mins, but then the anxiety will start. And the endless questions to reassure themselves (which will never happen). Just dreading 6 months of them freaking out every time I bend over.

Thanks for the moan everyone! Wink

Anna rose as horrible as feeling like that is, it is normal and hopefully will pass. I felt like that the other day but it's slowly passing. It seemed the moment the worry left after my scan I felt so negative about everything and everyone including baby when I know I was desperate for this baby and it was planned yet I suddenly felt like oh no I can't turn back now, even though I'd be devastated if anything bad happened. But it's just pregnancy hormones and feeling awful catching up with you, I know I love and want this baby and I'm feeling it again gradually it's just a blip. I'm sure you'll be feeling better again soon :)

docpeppa · 21/03/2014 15:19

Thanks everyone, I'm still a bit shell shocked and I've not been allowed to lift a finger since it happened.

Thanks for the kind words Smile

Good luck everyone xxx

Er....who's going to start the new thread? Getting close to 1000 messages..... If we need a wacky subtitle, may I suggest "November 2014 - Springing through the first trimester". Grin

6+2 and feeling nauseous.

Annarose2014 · 21/03/2014 16:16

Thanks alita, the moan helped. Also just got my first antenatal appointment through the letterbox which gave me a much needed blip of excitement.

Seems like it's probably not a scan: just bloods, chat to midwife etc, but still! I rang the hospital and scans aren't till 16 weeks on average (am going public).

At least talking to a midwife might make it real! Other than a 10 min GP visit at the start I've talked to no-one. It's not for another 3 weeks but it lightened my mood enough to prompt me to make Lasagne! Quite a feat for me these days! Grin

ImBrian · 21/03/2014 17:06

Hello, I'm pregnant with #5 and due somewhere between 26th no and the 1st December depending on if you go buy lmp or ov. I had a chemical last month and I've got pregnant again without a period so I'm feeling pretty worried at the minute. Hopefully the next few weeks fly by to the 12 week scans though I think I'll have a private one at 8 ish if I get there.

Welcome newbies :)

Anna rose just had a similar rush of excitement to you :p my midwife rang and if she's free (she needs to double check on monday) ill have my booking appointment Tuesday. It's a couple of days eearly (7+5) but the alternative was waiting until I'm over 10 weeks and I explained about my mmc before and wanting to not have to wait too much over 12 weeks for my scan and so wanting to book as early as possible and she was sympathetic luckily :)

Also did the bicarbonate of soda test and there was no fizzing which indicates girl. We were thinking boy before but we'll see. Do you think it would work aat 7 weeks (if it is accurate at all :p) ? Anyone else want to try?

I wonder if this is why I've been getting 'I want a girl' feelings when I thought it was a boy, I thought I was being awful as before I wasn't bothered which it was... also to me it looked like baby was on the left side of my uterus at the scan and allegedly most girls go on the left and boys on the right...

Grayby · 21/03/2014 17:40

Long time lurker, first time caller with a

Bun in oven! Due November 13th!

Annarose2014 · 21/03/2014 17:50

alita I needed a wee anyway so I brought some baking soda in with me......as you do....

Fizzed like mad! Mind you, not sure how it couldn't have with me weeing on it!

I really haven't felt any girl vibes at all thus far - I've been wavering between twins or boy, so we'll see!

Nessalina · 21/03/2014 18:27

Ah, you're all fired! Wink

New thread here! Grin
