Hi all, I have my BFP and due 30th October. It's my third baby and was 2 weeks late with the last two so bound to be November.

Anybody else for November yet? I know it's very very early :)

I'm sure the doctor got It wrong if the online calculators and my calculations are 7 weeks but obviously I'm not a doctor and don't want to doubt her! But there was a girl in before me and pretty sure she was there for the same reason as me as I was the 2nd appointment of the day and she had a midwife referral there so maybe she wAs just reading the other girls?!? X

alita7 · 20/03/2014 18:34

Urgh looks like I'm getting something fluey... DP says he's got back/ neck ache and feels fevery too so we've probably got a virus or something :( it won't affect the baby will it?

Nessalina · 20/03/2014 18:41

I've had the same alita! Just starting to get over it. I had the same worry, but I don't think the germs can get there to be honest! I saw the doctor today and she couldn't have been less concerned if she tried Hmm

BexBoo12 · 20/03/2014 19:16

Ah sleeping it's lovely to see you on here. November is a lovely month for baby to arrive, just in time for Christmas!

I hope nobody else minds me popping in to see you all Smile

Baxter2014 · 20/03/2014 19:16

Hello ladies! Thought I would join as I am due around Nov 15 which makes me about 6 weeks. Boobs are painful, bit of cramping and this morning I felt sooooo sick but it only lasted an hour or so. Was strangely reassuring though so in a way I hope it comes back. Had a MC in Dec so freaking out at every little thing. Just want to get out of this first trimester. Anyway, nice to meet you all

BexBoo12 · 20/03/2014 19:23

Ps, Barmy? Where are you? How are you lovely x

Hopeful83 · 20/03/2014 19:31

Sorry I've been a bit quiet this week but I have been catching up when possible. Welcome to all the newbies and congratulations to those whose early scans went well. I am really scared as I am off to the EPU again tomorrow for another scan. The spotting has never stopped and on two occasions this week I've had proper bright red blood, one time it was a gush of blood :( Pretty certain that the inevitable has happened, have been waiting since Monday night for this appointment and really want to get it over with. I'm going on my own as my DH is in New York. Dreading it :(

Nessalina · 20/03/2014 19:34

Oh hopeful, that's awful! Sad And especially on your own! Fingers crossed for best possible outcome.

RandomInternetStranger · 20/03/2014 19:35

Snook DD was just under 3 weeks early and was 10lbs 2oz & 23" long. She's now coming up to 8 & is in age 11-12 clothes. She has a different father who was shorter & generally smaller than this one's so we're placing bets that this one could make 12lbs. Wink Grin

Polkadotscarf · 20/03/2014 19:39

Doctor was very reassuring but sent me to hospital just to be sure and they were also very reassuring and took bloods, did examination and said seems all ok. Booked in for a scan and another hormone level check on Saturday...oh the waiting! feel more positive than this morning though!

Amyrose82 · 20/03/2014 19:52

Oh Hopeful that sounds awful - fingers crossed for you and really hope it's good news hugs

alita7 · 20/03/2014 20:01

Hopeful I hope it goes ok. Spotting and even some red blood was Ok for me so hopefully you'll have no problem either :) it is horribly scary though!

Polka fingers crossed for you!

Random I don't think it always makes a difference, sometimes babies are massive but don't grow fast when children or the other way round. I was 8 pound and I'm now 5 ft 1 1/2 :p I'm hoping I have a smallish bab, but who knows :p also they may be long and thin or short and chubby but weigh the same.

RandomInternetStranger · 20/03/2014 20:23

alita yeah I agree, I think there is no way to predict which genetics will play a part through life and how someone will end up, and these charts don't take genetics into account anyway so how on earth can they possibly be relevant?? I think of everyone on this thread, some of us are tall, some short, some skinny, some curvy, and there is no logical way to say every single one of our babies are the same size at the same stage which is why I pay no attention whatsoever to growth scans, date estimates by scan, charts or the sites that say at this week it's the size of a grain of rice or a blueberry or a grape... My mum's family are all short (Chinese - my daughter at nearly 8 is bigger than my Grandmother was!!), so there's nothing to say her Chinese genes won't kick in with this baby and although I'd expect another monster sized freak of nature like DD I could end up with a little shorty Chinese throwback! Grin I just ignore it all and go by mother's instinct which I very much believe in. Smile

just1moretime · 20/03/2014 20:25

hopeful Good luck. The same thing is happening to me. I had a bit of spotting yesterday then today, bad cramping and bleeding. Went to doctors who have referred me for a scan tomorrow. I'm expecting bad news, so I don't even feel worried or scared, just resigned to it really. Sad

PosyFossilsShoes · 20/03/2014 21:03

We got to pick height as one of the characteristics of our donor, I think we went for 5'10" in the end as DP was worried about a really tall one creating a monster baby when I'm only a shorty, lol. As all four grandparents & their genetics can contribute to height I don't think it makes much difference…

I've got an appointment booked at hospital-of-choice for two weeks time, v relieved to have 'got in' there as it's oversubscribed.

Good luck to hopeful and just for scans Flowers

Ladymillion · 20/03/2014 21:04

Thanks for adding me to the list nessalina!

Amyrose your post could've literally been about me... Well except I've just done my 24th test hahaha Blush still don't believe it

Petal26 · 20/03/2014 21:06

Hi newbies Smile

Fingers crossed for you tomorrow hopeful and just1moretime

I've felt sick all day today, worst day so far.
I think I'm part of the having to eat all the time club too, at 10 o clock I had a bit of a panic and thought I might have to rush out of my classroom to the loo but kept having tiny sips of water, felt much better after a snack half an hour later!
By the end of school I had eaten everything I had brought with me and couldn't find any biscuits anywhere in the staff room, I'm taking more with me tomorrow!!!
I'm trying to be as healthy as possible, have definitely put on a few pounds in the last 2 weeks.
Don't remember feeling this sick this early on last time, my sickness came on much later at twelve weeks ish so looking for all clues as to DD or DS at the moment! (Last one was a DD!)

RandomInternetStranger · 20/03/2014 21:09

Posy that's so funny I did the opposite! Scanned the heights first and anyone under 6'4 automatically went in a no pile! Lol! Bigger the better for me!! Grin

barmybunting · 20/03/2014 21:29

Evening everyone! Welcome to newbies Smile . I'm pleased to see our 'week' number starting to creep up with people saying they are 7+/8+ weeks now, it makes it seem more reassuring somehow!

Sleepingstars I am so pleased to see you here!! How are you feeling? I really hope this pregnancy goes well for you.

hopeful, polka and just I'm sorry to hear about the bleeding. It is scary. I hope your scans are all ok over the next few days. hopeful I understand your fear with your Dh being away tomorrow. I have a scan next week when DH is away so I'm dreading going alone. I really hope all is well for you.

Hi Bex I'm doing ok thanks. I've had a rotten few days at work with lots happening and feeling sick so I've been hiding a bit. I feel a bit better now it's Friday tomorrow Smile ! How are you? Excited for your gender scan on Monday?

This sickness is horrendous. I'm finding it very hard to avoid being sick it the classroom at the moment. Does anyone else find it's worse when travelling? Driving seems to set it off for me every time, and as I drive for about 2 1/2 hours a day with my commute, I am hating it at the moment!

alita7 · 20/03/2014 21:40

Barmy travelling definitely adds to it, I rely on buses and am finding they make me want to die :p

barmybunting · 20/03/2014 21:58

Why is it when you start to vaguely relax, your stupid body changes that again? I had started to feel more reassured over the last few days as I'd had no sign of bleeding, had even vaguely started to look forward to telling our parents over the next few weeks once scan confirms all is well next week. I have just gone to the bathroom though, and discovered red bloody cm. I wish it would just sod off!! Sorry ladies, not impressed tonight as I was so hopeful it had all stopped and all might be vaguely well. Only 5+4 today so still very early days.

alita buses must be hellish at times with the heat and other people on them!

Amyrose82 · 20/03/2014 22:13

Haha 24 LadyMillion - that's impressive! I'm trying to limit myself to two or three a week for now, it's hard though! And I'm totally with you on the work thing - work can bore off! Grin

maeanne · 20/03/2014 22:14

Hi everyone. I got my BFP on Sunday (and one every day since!), my edd is 26/11 and this would be our second dc. Very nervous but extremely happy! Smile

docpeppa · 20/03/2014 22:21

Sorry i'll have to take myself off this.

I had an ectopic pregnancy removed this week, it's devastating. Apparently my fertility hasn't been affected, which is some consolation.

Good luck to all you lovely ladies with your pregnancies xx

BexBoo12 · 20/03/2014 22:33

Oh sorry Barmy, let's just hope it's just a bit of bleeding from bean burrowing in and settling down Smile got everything crossed for you!!

Travelling did make my nausea worse but I found winding the window down just a tiny bit really helped. The fresh air circulating in the car was what stopped me trying to pull over on motorway!!

Yes excited for Monday but stupidly nervous!! X
