Hi all, I have my BFP and due 30th October. It's my third baby and was 2 weeks late with the last two so bound to be November.

Anybody else for November yet? I know it's very very early :)

Oh bugger watching my weight! It's the one time I don't have to and it comes off anyway. With DD I put on 6.5 stone, almost doubling my weight and it all came off without any effort afterwards as soon as I stopped eating like that when she was born but I figured if that's what my body had to do to make a happy healthy 10lb 2oz DD then that's what it needed to do. If I was hungry then as far as I was concerned it told me baby needed something. I'll be damned if I'm going to restrict what my body is telling me it needs and actually I was never weighed last time at all and I will be refusing to be weighed this time if I think my mw is going to try to nag me about how much or little I've gained. This one doesn't so far seem as hungry as DD but it's only 7+5 so that could well change! Grin

BexBoo12 · 20/03/2014 07:22

Very well thanks sleeping, tired most of the time but I guess that comes with pregnancy lol. When are you due? I'm so pleased to see you on antenatal thread Grin x

utopian99 · 20/03/2014 07:42

Am actually disgusted now I've weighed myself. I know I can only blame my only behaviour too. Have just cried all over dh.

Tigsy · 20/03/2014 07:46

Hi just checking in with you all- haven't been online much in past few days as we're away staying with DHs family. I'm sure there must be some suspicions as I keep declining alcohol, tea, coffee, etc. My lent excuse only goes so far....

Had a few days with not much symptoms which was worrying me, but nausea is back with a vengeance and have actually been sick this morning for the first time! Feel absolutely rubbish but it's also reassuring in a way.

Congratulations and welcome to all the newbies Smile

Also glad to hear those who were having problems with pain/bleeding at the beginning of the week are doing ok.

alita7 · 20/03/2014 07:50

Polkadot I hope it's Ok... maybe you'll get a scan. I hope it's reassuring to know that the couple us who had spotting have completely healthy viable pregnancies as far as they could tell.

Utopian these dreams are odd! I dreamt DP worked in a massive high ceilinged hall with foot on sewage on the floor and I fell over in it :(

Giraffeski · 20/03/2014 07:53

I dreamt last night that I was driving a big van. And that we had asked one of DPs employees to come and sleep on our couch on a semi permanent basis!!!

booksshoescats · 20/03/2014 09:46

Lol at the weird dreams. Dreamt DH and I went to New York and we couldn't bear to stay away, so we went back again the following weekend. Even in the dream I was shocked at my profligacy, flying back and forth across the Atlantic!

Sleepingstar Welcome. As Ness says, plenty of battle scars here, but you have been through so much – fingers tightly crossed that this is your time now. Welcome to Just and Catnap too.

Random - 10lb 2 Shock, and you must be tiny if 6.5 stone is nearly twice your weight. I thought I did well with DD at 8lb 4 and I’m nearly 8 stone. No idea what I weight now, though, but my tummy’s given up already and we don't have scales in the house, so I only ever weigh myself at my parents' house. God knows what I’ll be like by 12 weeks.

Finally getting used to the idea of another baby; since the scan yesterday it’s beginning to sink in. I’m really not a baby person at all – fortunately DH is, he just loves them and really throws himself into it. He SO wanted another one! I love it once they get to about 18 months and then I think it just keeps getting better (well, so far, anyway – DD is 5 in a couple of weeks).

Anyone else a bit nervous about having a baby in the house (again)?

alita7 · 20/03/2014 09:55

Books I'm a bit nervous about having my first, I was desperate to have a baby and couldn't wait but now I'm so hormonal I'm fluctuating between excited and feeling inexplicably down about everything :/ my dsd lives with us and we share parenting of her as if she's both of ours so I feel fairly confident with the sort of school age + age group, just think a baby will be very different :p

booksshoescats · 20/03/2014 10:04

alita I think that's really normal. Tbh anyone who isn't a bit fearful is probably delusional Smile. And feeling down is definitely normal too - obviously keep and eye on that, but some ups and downs are to be expected, particularly in the first few weeks with the anxiety that brings and the hormones going crazy. Great that you have experience with an older child though - do you think she'll be excited? Are you thinking about how you're going to tell her?

alita7 · 20/03/2014 10:22

Books she will definitely be excited, I've been hinting, she knows me and daddy want to have a baby soon and she says she's looking forward to that but I said I don't know when yet so she's not confused. She wants a brother as DP has twin girls from another relationship and her mum has two girls as well so 4 sisters! We want to tell the 3 of them together so I hope my 12 week scan lines up with the weekends we have the twins :p how about you with your little one?

Greenstone · 20/03/2014 10:31

Welcome and congrats to everyone new, and *sleepingstar, I'm just so sorry to hear about your difficult time Flowers

books I'm definitely feeling a bit daunted! For the baby stage, I've sort of decided in my head that I will cope best by just keeping the baby plugged into me or in a sling for the first few months. If he or she shows more of an inclination to nap in a carrycot than DD, then hurray, but I wasted way too much time and energy last time trying to force DD to sleep anywhere but on me and ended up knackered. Also seriously considering ordering one of those sidecar co-sleeping cots...they look like silly money but might just be the perfect solution.

I'm slightly nervous about having 2 children! I'm from a big family and my parents never got a minute's peace. I really value my own quiet time (am quite introverted) but I guess it will be a noisy messy few years for a while -- that's OK though :)

Random I can't believe you had a 10lb baby at your size! I'm 5'2 and was about 7stone when I got preg with DD; I think I put on about 3 stone by the end of the pregnancy. She was only about 6lb 8oz which was right for me. TBH I think a lot of that weight was water weight towards the end. I remember coming home from hospital about 18 hours after having DD and marvelling at how thin my legs suddenly looked.

I think I will be way fatter this time though. Just polished off my second breakfast of a fruit scone...

Sleepingstarsmommy · 20/03/2014 10:36

Bex It's nice to see a familiar name and I am so glad to be here. I'm due 27th November. Glad I caught this month and not next as I would have been due Xmas day.

Low grade nausea and a headache this morning but no sickness yet. That joy will be with me in a couple of weeks Im sure.

stowsettler · 20/03/2014 10:38

Morning ladies. I just discovered I'm 5+1 so due around 19th November, so can I join? This pg is VERY unplanned, DD is nearly 13mo and we definitely thought she was going to be an only - I'm 41 in a couple of weeks! At my age I thought one split johnnie wouldn't have such massive consequences (DP waiting for a vasectomy!!!)...

It's all a bit of a blur tbh at the moment. I have no idea how we will cope, no idea how we will afford it and am having quite a panic about it all. Hoping for some virtual handholding from people who may be a bit more positive than me!!!

Snooky17 · 20/03/2014 13:03

Hi
Finally plucked up the courage to join, have to admit have been stalking this thread for over a week.
Baby number 4, have dd 20 and ds 13 from first marriage and a dd 5 with OH. Had a miscarriage just before Xmas at 8 weeks baby stopped growing at 6 weeks and no find myself die nov 17th, have a scan tomorrow as have had a lot of very painful cramping.
Hi to everyone

Ladymillion · 20/03/2014 13:31

Hi everyone can I join please Smile I am 6+2 today, due around Nov 12th I think. Very worried about complications this early on, first pregnancy and still can't quite believe it. Such a strange feeling. I've had mild on-off cramping since BFP few weeks ago but everyone says that's just the uterus stretching etc so trying not to imagine the worst! Just wish I could hibernate until the 12 week scan! Work seems so mundane and pointless now, people try and talk to me about day to day things and all I wanna do is scream I DONT CARE ANYMORE just wake me up in 6 weeks hahahaha

alita7 · 20/03/2014 16:01

Anyone else got that fevery cold in the bones feeling or am I coming down with something?

Amyrose82 · 20/03/2014 16:21

Hi ladies - can I join the November crew please?! I'm 6+1 with my first and a mixture of terrified, excited and sleepy lol! It was only our 2nd cycle of TTC so can't believe it's all happening so soon! Only symptoms so far are extra tiredness and slightly tender heavy boobs, which is great but also makes me worried that it's all in my head! Did my sixth pregnancy test last night just to check it was still there! X

Sazhoopz · 20/03/2014 16:21

alita I'm normally a cold person but at the moment I can't seem to warm up at all, most evenings are spent underneath a blanket! Annoyingly tho I'm getting really warm at night

Am now a fully paid up member of the constantly eating or otherwise feeling sick club. Can't remember it being this bad with ds so maybe this one is going to be a girl

Nessalina · 20/03/2014 16:44

Ok, new roll call, but there's been loads of new folks lately, so be kind if I've cocked up! Grin

WinterLover · 20/03/2014 16:55

saz with ds I had no sickness. This one from week 4 has been awful

Snook99 · 20/03/2014 17:26

Oh I hate this waiting! How are we all meant to be patient for another 33+ weeks :( had doctors yesterday and I'm due 5th ( my calculations weren't very good!) but doctor said I was 6+2 but I'm sure that's not right when I count down it's 7 weeks and on the nhs calculator is says I'm 7 :-/ what do you ladies think? Every day closer counts lol!! X

nickiswiss · 20/03/2014 17:46

I had hardly any sickness with ds, just a bit of nauseousness if I was hungry or laughing...and it was after 6 weeks. This one, I've been feeling really sick, really sick twice a day since 4 weeks! Dd? Or just different with second pregnancy?

RandomInternetStranger · 20/03/2014 17:49

It depends on when you ovulated! If you take my LMP my due date is 23rd October but if you use the one and only day I could have possibly conceived my due date is 1st Nov. According to LMP I'm now 9 weeks but with my conception date I'm 7+5. It's all only a rough guess anyway! Only 5% of babies are born on time, even a dating scan is only a guess and doesn't account for bigger or smaller babies. There's no way a perfectly healthy full term 6lb baby and a perfectly healthy full term 11lb baby will measure the same in utero so I think it's all pretty pointless. And once they're born - these charts are bunkum! I'm 6' tall, the father of this one is 6'6", no way will we have a child the same size as a couple a foot shorter than us. It's all silly really and I largely ignore it all.

Snook99 · 20/03/2014 17:55

I never really thought about that but gosh your going to have a baby giant! Lol on nhs is says estimated conception date is 12th which according I my calendar that was the date that bedtime was later Blush so realistically I'm prob only about 5 weeks x

alita7 · 20/03/2014 18:02

Snook if it helps my conception date was definitely 14th, valentines day :p and I'm about 7 weeks.
