Didn't see one started, as our last thread looks full. Let's hope we are all kicking the early pregnancy sickness and starting to glow :)

I weighed myself out of curiosity - and lost 5 lbs over the weekend! Shock

feel slightly better, but still have some painful stomach cramps - honestly I'd rather have given birth.
in fact with DS5 it was all over in 12 hours!Grin

still only sipping cold water with ice. I am sooooooo hungry but don't dare to eat.Sad

I'll update if we have any news about house.

have a great day / get better! Smile

Howly · 10/02/2014 09:36

Had my downs blood test this morning, it's a bit sad when they talk about the outcomes and risk factors! I think we will be ok! Will hear within 10 days!

I'm annoyed though, 16+2 and I was sick again when we got back from the hospital! It's definately musty smells, my kitchen just smells of food and the oven smells which make me gag and then I puke! Stressing me out!

fifi669 · 10/02/2014 10:13

Although I'm not being sick, certain smells to push me to the edge. I went maternity shipping yesterday and our local shopping mall has a yo sushi in the middle of it. The smell of fish everywhere. Vom Envy

AuntieMaggie · 10/02/2014 10:33

Although I haven't had morning sickness I too am pushed to the edge with certain food smells - a friend banned her DH from cooking while she was pregnant because of this! I find eating out better as long as I don't come across any of the offending smells as I can bear to eat foods I can't at home if I've smelt them cook. It seems to be mainly healthy food that has this effect!

liquidstate · 10/02/2014 10:44

Another fish vomiter here. Off to see my mum this weekend who lives by the sea, highlight is usually a fish and chip supper but think I may have to have a saveloy instead. Sad

LaDay · 10/02/2014 11:49

Hello all and sorry to here sickness remains :-(

Thanks for words of comfort/hugs re DS..keeping fingers crossed all will be ok...

Not sure if you've heard of [[http://polarnopyret.co.uk/shop/index.php?page=product_list&category_id=438&utm_source=PO.P+%2B+Members&utm_campaign=efecfa8b2e-Newborn_UK&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_5383d2737e-efecfa8b2e-19502770 Polarn o pyret]] but their clothes are amazing and last super well. They have an offer on newborn at the mo in case anyone is tempted, and an interesting clothing checklist too - worth a look if you are browsing! X

BlueC2 · 10/02/2014 12:52

Hello all. Sorry not been back in touch since my middle of the night post on Saturday! I did fall asleep for an hour on the sofa before waking up needing a wee and then got another hour back on the futon before DS woke up with sore teeth so a v disturbed night-didn't feel too bad yesterday but v tired today!

zing hope you are on the mend and others still feeling sick it's rotten! I was retching though not sick yesterday evening-the joys!

We have our scan on Friday and wondering if this bean will be as awkward as DS who kicked the scanning probe away (we just saw this little foot shoot towards it on the screen!) and then got himself into some odd position meaning I had to be tipped almost upside down on the bed for the sonographer to get all the measurements she needed! Oh-for those who don't want to know the gender be sure to tell the sonographer this before they start as many assume that you do want to know. With DS she just told us to look away when she was checking that area and didn't linger too long!

Right-back to work as I actually have some to do which is great!

ellentullo · 10/02/2014 13:25

It never rains but it pours.... microbump and belly fluttering appearing for the first time in the same week. Its taken 18 weeks to actually believe I am pregnant.

Maternity trousers on emergency loan from lovely friends!

Plateofcrumbs · 10/02/2014 15:53

On food smells - yes I really don't like food I have smelled cooking either. DH rarely cooks and made a stew the other week which was bubbling away for hours. I had to absolutely force it down looking grateful despite being able to smell it for hours before had put me right off.

Have been eating a lot of stir-fry as it's cooked and eaten before I have time to feel a bit vom about it.

mummytobejuly2014 · 10/02/2014 16:30

almost had a mini meltdown in new look. only place in town with maternity range. got a pair of their work trousers which are under the bump and button adjustable. have nothing to wear outside of work, none of my jeans or anything fit. I've ballooned since washing the only pair that still fitted. tried over the bump and under the bump. over the bump are tight legged and massive on top/droopy/baggy crotch and under bump are tight legged and waist band fits but a very unflattering baggy crotch. cant win. im usually a size 8 in all shops but new look skinnies im a 10. tried all 8 and 10 in all their maternity jeans with no joy. a 12 would be even bigger/baggier round the crotch. afraid to order online as I know it prob wont fit. does anyone have any ideas/suggestions? feeling a right frump with nout to wear but pjs and tracksuit bottoms

jaykay987 · 10/02/2014 16:41

mummy - it is frustrating.
I'd try Next. Although they are only online, I ordered mine straight to store - embarrassingly ordered about 12 pairs so had a variety of styles and sizes - took the package straight to a changing room and promptly returned 11pairs! Grin So no gaff of returns - more like shopping in a real shop.

No good for me.... but I believe a few skinny minnies had success at GAP. They stock in store some places - so might suit you well?

LaDay · 10/02/2014 16:41

Aw I am having a clothes nightmare too! Do you have any mates who might be able to lend...we have a big bag of stuff which does the rounds. I find Jojo Maman stuff good and have just bought their denim mini which is fab, otherwise could you see yourself in a tunic dress/leggings combo? I have pretty much given up on trousers at the mo. best high st shop I've found for maternity = H&M (and gorgeous newborn organic cotton basics too which are good quality for the price) hope this helps!

Howly · 10/02/2014 17:02

My husband had to help me out of my dress this afternoon, it nearly had to be cut off!! It was slightly tight before I started school and when I got home I had expanded so much I couldn't get it over my boobs!! Its now gone in the 'to get back into post preggo pile' oh the joys! Im bidding on dresses galore on ebay to wear with leggings!

Didn't get to hear babies heart beat at midwife appt this Avo Sad

AuntieMaggie · 10/02/2014 17:50

I popped into a few shops in the centre of Sheffield today to be told "our meadowhall store has the maternity range" - if I wanted to go to meadowhall then I would!!! Found a lovely dress in h&m but the fecking elasticated waist is too high for my big boobs :(

Where does maternity clothes for women with big boobs?

Plateofcrumbs · 10/02/2014 18:07

I have the opposite problem - I've got a drawer full of maternity clothes bought in the sales I'm desperate to wear but it's too early! Grin

A few things are wearable now but I can't wear at work as they're ASOS maternity and I know my pregnant colleague has clothes from there and I'm worried she'll recognise them (they're fairly distinctive).

My bump is definitely clearly noticeable now in anything that isn't a giant smock so I'm basically wearing giant smocks every day (with a long scarf for extra bump cover).

Keeping fingers crossed we get CVS all-clear soon so I can tell work (and because not knowing is horrid).

fifi669 · 10/02/2014 18:26

I'm having problems with maternity clothes :( my hips are 10-12 but I have muscular calves. They are abnormally massive I admit, it's a family trait. All the fashion for skinny jeans means nothing fits! I picked up the same pair from the same store in the same size as I'm wearing right now (bought 4 ish years ago when pregnant with DS), and the legs are too tight! Ahhhhh

I've yet to find work trousers that fit either. If they don't have the problem above they are a foot too long.

ZingSweetApple · 10/02/2014 19:07

have I whinged about the fact that I lost 5lbs since Friday?

I'm now a whole stone lighter than 3 months ago!Confused

DD took her nappy off and pooed on the floor - the cleaning of which made me sick.
the cherry on top of the cake.
And I'm still in pain.

Hope you feel better soon. Smile

BlueC2 · 10/02/2014 21:32

Fab news plate

Re maternity wear it really is very hit and miss and not helped that many places forget that you might still want petite/short leg length -being pregnant doesn't suddenly make you tall enough for regular length trousers!

I have quite a bit of mat work stuff which I'm v unlikely to use this time as I now work from home-was going to list on eBay but if anyone interested let me know and I'll PM you a list. It's mostly size 10 top and size 12 bottom from Next and Dorothy Perkins.

I'm so so tired this evening not managed to do anything at all! Now off to bed for an early night-Saturday night still catching up with me!
