Didn't see one started, as our last thread looks full. Let's hope we are all kicking the early pregnancy sickness and starting to glow :)

Congrats plate!!! Such great news!

I just "won" an ebay auction. A babybjorn bouncer. I am far too pleased with myself. Now just to find somewhere safe to hide purchase from DH! Grin

MrsB2013 · 10/02/2014 22:40

Zing Hope you feel better soon!

Plate That is excellent news!! So happy for you!

Maternity Clothes: I got some jeans and trousers from Mothercare, they are so comfy!

MrsB2013 · 10/02/2014 22:58

Yes Mummy, will try sending again, check your emails :)

lemonpoppyseed · 11/02/2014 01:30

Also at that odd stage where regular clothes fit in the morning, but by the end of the day everything is super tight. I did wear a maternity skirt the other day - bliss!

19 week scan went ok. Baby is healthy and growing well. Sonographer was extremely grumpy, and brought me near to tears a few times. Then she wouldn't tell us gender! It will be in the report for my doctor (had to have scan done off sure as no appts in hospital for low risk patients). My OB appt is
Wednesday - what are the chances by paperwork makes it by then? So feeling happy baby is well, but feels very anti-climatic. A strange day all round...

icklekid · 11/02/2014 04:19

lemon how odd I can imagine quite disappointing for you!

Still veing sick every evening here but have now stopped taking the sickness medication because I tried not taking it and wasn't sick in the day just at night which is the same as when I am taking it. Does that even make sense??! Just wait for me to be back tonight saying back on it as sick all day.

zing can totally understand the not wanting to risk food just in case! I don't eat in the eve as makes sickness worse but I am going to struggle to break that habit and actually start eating again at some point...cross that bridge when I come to it!

As for maternity clothes my work trousers no longer do up so dresses for me told a few of the kids I teach yesterday because they asked just waiting for that to spread to parents and the rest of my key stage now no doubt by Friday the world will know!

4am is too early to wake for a school night :-( and yesterday killed my back at work just keep thinking 4 more days...my team didn't do well without me there for 2 weeks ridiculous but never mind!

BlueC2 · 11/02/2014 06:56

Well done jaykay the baby bjorn bouncers are fab-so looking forward to using ours again and they hold their value so I'll be selling it on once we're done with it.

I have had a pretty good night's sleep except that DH alarms woke me up and then the shower was noisily playing up with pump gone funny again so now I'm wide awake when I could've been asleep catching up on lost zzz from the other night! And now sounds like DH has managed to wake DS up-grrr.

No way I would fit into normal trousers anymore! Living in mat leggings and long jumpers at the moment-sooo comfy! As a general note matalan mat leggings have a small bump area Next one is huge and H+M is somewhere in the middle :)

Plateofcrumbs · 11/02/2014 07:24

Thanks everyone. It actually feels a bit anti-climactic: I thought I'd relax now I had the results but I still can't shake the worry (there must be something else wrong that the CVS can't pick up). Just being irrational which isn't my style, I need some sense shaking into me.

Mrsc020987 · 11/02/2014 07:48

Good news plate. Hope your feeling better zing!

Are any of the mummies already really tired? Ive never felt this tired and it supposed to be gone by now, my mother does keep telling me the advise given in books etc doesn't account for other children!

MrsA2 · 11/02/2014 07:55

Plate that's fantastic news, are you telling people today or going to wait a little longer?

BlueC2 I could be interested in clothes, though probably have enough for now to be honest. Is there a way you could share photos and prices?

Plateofcrumbs · 11/02/2014 08:11

I have a once weekly meeting with my team on Tuesday's so I could tell them today but I'm feeling a bit emotional so might wait until next week - besides which I've already got my week's smock-and-scarf combos planned out and it seems a shame to waste them Grin. More practically I want to speak to my boss first about maternity cover etc - team has had a lot of change recently so doesn't seem fair to just drop the news on them without explaining how it might impact them.

liquidstate · 11/02/2014 08:43

Fantastic news plate!!!!

I have big calves and it is so annoying that H & M jeans are all skinny. I slyly asked for H&M vouchers from MIL and SIL for Christmas so have money to spend but nothing to buy. Managed to get a pair of boot legs from New Look in the sale and a few tops but currently living in jogging bottoms and leggings. I didn't even think about Mothercare clothes but saw some nice stuff last week when I picked up my support belt. Hope H&M do some nice loose cotton dresses and tops for the summer.

Another day stuck in the house due to the flooded roads, anyone else trapped?

talulahbelle · 11/02/2014 09:58

I'm currently relaxing at home, off to my 16week midwife appointment in a bit. I took the whole morning off work so have enjoyed a mid week lie in and leisurely breakfast too. I still have no real bump, so I'm hoping I can hear a nice heartbeat in a bit, and also chase the booking for my 20week scan.

plate good news, I hope you can now relax and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy.

liquid being trapped at home doesn't sound much fun, is the flooding very bad near you? The water meadows in town have flooded, but luckily there's not much building on the floodplain near us (bar one newish housing estate) so even if the water gets higher it shouldn't cause too much damage.

icklekid I told my form last week, they were very excited for me, and I now get questions every day on how the pregnancy is progressing. It's really sweet.

MrsA2 · 12/02/2014 07:50

BlueC2 I could be interested in the Dorothy Perkin trousers and H and M dress (is the dress a size 10?). I'm currently wearing H and M size 10'maternity jeans, you don't happen to know how DP trouser sizes compare to H and M do you? I haven't bought anything from DP yet. Thanks!

Sorry to hear some of you are still suffering with sickness, hope it starts to get better very soon.

We booked flights to the Caribbean last night for our holiday, exciting! Must buy decent travel insurance today before my scan tomorrow, just in case - I'm such a worrier. Am a little nervous about flying long haul but will double check with my midwife just before and I'm low risk at the moment, I know there's a good private hospital on the island we are going to too. I'll be about 24 weeks so seems like a good opportunity for our last long haul trip for a while.

In other news, we are awaiting to hear back on an offer we put in for a house we love. We do have an option two, sensibly that one is great as mortgage payments are more affordable and it is a nice house, but we love the one we've offered on. I just don't think they are serious about moving though so doubt they'll accept anything other than the asking price (which we can't afford).

Zing, any news on yours? Thinking of you, it's all such a hassle!

AuntieMaggie · 12/02/2014 08:07

plate so pleased for you :)

zing sorry you are still so ill :( I am a little envious of the weightloss - I've put on a stone since getting pregnant which will be the stone I lost on the last lc bootcamp though I'm trying to comfort myself with the thought that not all of it is fat as some of it is baby, uterus, extra blood, placenta etc... I seem to have stayed the same for the last month though and all the weight appears to be on my boobs and belly

ZingSweetApple · 12/02/2014 08:44

Maggie and all - thanks, feeling a bit better today bar headache and kids announcing at 7.30 they need to go to school as pirates!Shock Grin
(good thing we had a Pirate Murder Mystery party a few years ago so have some stuff)
they managed to scrub up quite well, I remembered to to fake moustaches and black teeth!

DS1 & DS4 continue to have the squirts, so they are still home.

MrsA

had no offers after Saturday but more people are interested, so that's fine.

the only thing is that right now we live in a flood risk area (announced on Monday) as Thames has flooded so that could effect serious interest.
we shall be ok, but the playground across the road at the end of our road is completely under water - doesn't bode well.

I think I just have to be realistic and say "we need a buyer by, say, Easter" - than I feel less stressed about it.

have a nice day all!Smile

ZingSweetApple · 12/02/2014 08:46

oh, and don't be jealous of weight loss Mags, it won't last.

in a few months I'll be so big Santa will look like a size zero model compared to me!Grin

liquidstate · 12/02/2014 10:39

I weighed myself this morning and according to my weight at the 16 week appointment I am near enough still the same. A couple of pounds lighter but thats more to do with not feeling hungry and vomiting.

The weight gain is going to be hard for me as I am three stone heavier than this time last year. I had a car accident in March which meant I couldn't exercise and gained a lot of weight through depressive eating of cakes. Sad

mummytobejuly2014 · 12/02/2014 11:18

Taken a duvet day. Awake all night with back ache and bump pains. Couldn't face work or the snowy/rainy day either. Have to venture out for food tho :(
