Fender1 · 12/03/2014 07:03

Congratulations Diz, sounds like a perfect birth Smile
Just me and you left from the 10/3 MTB2014?! Still no peek of my baba making an entrance...

EmFlat · 12/03/2014 08:04

Mummytobe2014 · 12/03/2014 09:58

Congratulations Diz so pleased all went well. Enjoy lota of cuddles Thanks
Yep just me and you Fender, i was wondering yesterday whether you or Diz had any luck. I have a mw appt today but she wont be doing sweep she will book it at the hospital for me.
There is no signs at all yet for me altho im pretty sure my bump has dropped a little but hope mw can confirm.
I have a feeling my lo is too cosy to make an appearance yet which is a shame as my dp starts new job monday and wont be here so was hoping he wld come along this week Sad
Keeping everything crossed for us Fender
Goodluck to those with sections today x

commsgirl · 12/03/2014 13:05

FitzgeraldProtagonist · 12/03/2014 15:28

COngrats Diz!

Fender, I was 8/3.... Still nothing. THink baby never going to come out.

Mummytobe2014 · 12/03/2014 16:16

Got to call Friday to book sweep that day. Had high bp so had to go from mw to hospital with talks of possible induction but hospital were happy with my bp which was all over place. Am home now resting and more waiting.

DitaVonCreamTeas · 12/03/2014 16:38

Congratulations dizhin that's wonderful news Flowers

Fender1 · 12/03/2014 17:04

MTB - not surprising bp all over place going from MW to hosp and talk of induction!
Got a sweep tom am so see if that does the trick. Poor you Fitz, at this stage two days must feel like two weeks.
There's a theory that a full moon affects a women's menstruation cycle and also those who are due to give birth ( something to do with tides / gravitational pull / fluid in your womb??!). Anyways, the next full moon is on Sunday (16th March) so it'll be interesting to see whether more of us labour that night than average Not that I'm desperate for any solution it anything

commsgirl · 12/03/2014 19:01

Fender I'll go for that! clutching at straws

Flumpinblues · 12/03/2014 19:17

Baby Isabella nn Ella born today by ELCS at 12:55pm. A calm and controlled entrance to the world for our beautiful girl. 7lbz 10oz and perfect :0)

Fender1 · 12/03/2014 19:19

Fab news Flump, good to hear a positive CS story and a beautiful name. Congratulations to all. X

EmFlat · 12/03/2014 19:20

Congratulations Flump! Grin So pleased for you, and 'welcome' to the world, Ella! (beautiful name Smile)

DitaVonCreamTeas · 12/03/2014 20:35

Yay for Flump Flowers

commsgirl · 12/03/2014 20:50

Congratulations Flump Thanks

OwlinaTree · 13/03/2014 01:25

Congrats flump, and a lovely name too!!

Flumpinblues · 13/03/2014 07:15

Thanks all. Anyone heard from MrsMugoo?

Can't believe the difference between EMCS 3 years ago & yesterday. No pain, very little discomfort and everything was controlled and explained. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. If anyone else has the option / necessity to go for a CS birth and you have any questions please ask. :)

Little Miss is sleeping like an angel next to me after feeding from 9pm to 3:45am!!!

Mummytobe2014 · 13/03/2014 08:37

fender goodluck with sweep this morning! Am also clutching at straws for ur theory to be true or it happening earlier! Thought it was happening last night butturns out my bump was just uncomfortable in bed and needed to be supported properly Sad oh well wishful thinking.

Congratulations Flump so pleased all went well for you and your little one Thanks

commsgirl · 13/03/2014 10:43

I was up pretty much all night last night having contractions. They eased off a bit so I came to bed around 7 and now they've completely stopped. So frustrating!

Fender1 · 13/03/2014 10:58

Oh Comms that's good and bad, shows you're really close..? (I'm a glass half full girl)
Had my Sweep - cervix soft but closed so no idea if it'll be effective or not, I'll keep you posted. Wasn't too bad, a bit similar to a smear only a bit rougher if that makes sense?
Hiya Flump, sounds like Ella has got the hang of feeding already which is great news. I had an ELCS with my first and agree with what you say, it was a totally calm and magical experience, have no qualms about another ELCS if this little monkey doesn't come naturally in a week.
Hope everyone is keeping well and enjoying the sun. Rest up and eat biscuits is my plan for the day :-)

commsgirl · 13/03/2014 11:33

Hopefully! I'm sulking and eating ice cream now! Going to go for a little walk in a bit but I don't want to tire myself out too much in case last night becomes a recurring theme!

Glad your sweep wasn't too uncomfortable, hope it gets things moving :)

Mummytobe2014 · 13/03/2014 12:53

Oh comms thats horrible i wld be so frustrated after having contractions for them to stop! But its all heading in the right direction which is great news.
Enjoy ur biscuits fender i have eaten honey cheerios and toast with peanut butter -yum!
Glad to hear about sweep i will have one tomorrow, i am a little anxious still but its got to be done. Looking forward to hearing if you progress, did they say you might???

In order to encourage lo to arrive i have put the moses basket in my room amd my dad has been over to put up blind in nursery plus i have had a clean am now too exhausted to labour lol oh and my dp is fishing (again) so maybe just maybe he will feel ready to come along! Wishful thinking once again Smile

commsgirl · 13/03/2014 13:28
