Martians 2014 Thread 15: D-Day is on the horizon

I come to check in and thread 14 was full so did the honours. Roll up.

My antenatal teacher did say that the plug can come away in pieces so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that's what this is. Leaving for my appt now so will report back.

Back now! Midwife said all is normal, and it could be my plug coming away. She said I had very trace amounts of blood in my urine which could have come from the plug but it was nothing to be worried about. She could only feel 2/5ths of baby's head so she's pretty much engaged. She told me to book my 41 week appt for a sweep but that hopefully I won't need it. Fingers crossed!

Baby Owl is here! Arrived this am by c section, 8lb 11oz.

Mum finally arrived and has been healthy cooking and dragging me out for walks to get vitamin D. So grateful she's here. Not only to save me from abject boredom but to keep me from degrading into a unhealthy slob.

Im over analyzing every single twinge and ache and pain but know I'm only fooling myself. Sigh

TMI alert - I've been aware that my fanjo has been getting increasingly swollen recently, but due to a lack of full-length mirror in daylight/a beachball sized bump/just couldn't be bothered, I didn't investigate. Now I've investigated; holy baboon genitals! My whole fanjo area is almost purple and, just, well, huge Dear god, please tell me this is reasonably normal for someone 39w+!?

Tried a longish walk today, lots of BH bit nothing else. Looks like flump is determined to stay put until C-Section day next week. Come on Spring chicks, the sun is out, time you little lot were too!!!

I got fed up enough to paint the shed today (40+4...).... Not sure whether this counts as nesting or just exasperation with sitting around and waiting! Was slightly problematic in that I didn't fit into the overalls I normally wear for messy jobs.

Dita mine feels the same but I refuse to look! You're brave!
