Sorry have been AWOL! Feeling like crap the tiredness has been all consuming, combined with a hoilday and an overtired toddler has not been a good mix. I am so looking forward to my scan need the reassurance now. Plus I want to stop the cyclogest

Quick hi from me before I go to bed. 12 week and nuchal scan attempt 2 tomorrow morning. Nuchal wasn't possible last week because baby was too small at 40.7mm and needed to be 45mm to do the nuchal. Hoping it's grown 5mm in the last 10 days.

Sympathy for all those feeling under the weather at the moment. I do not feel great at the moment.

Welcome and congratulations to the newcomers to the thread. Smile

Foxtrot - good luck gorgeous tomorrow. You should be fine. In the past 8 days I went from 38mm to 54mm!! Can't believe how fast they are growing at the moment!

Mrsb - that sounds hard. It must be frustrating not to get the reaction you were hoping for. Exciting to start telling me people though. I for one can't wait to tell my parents, not as I think they will react in a particular way but just because then I can tell my friends! GrinGrinGrinGrin

glad to hear of the scan jaykay and MrsB.
I had my harmony yesterday. Results on the 4th of Jan, which seems ages away. I always dread results. Deep breaths....

fiffi you can have harmony in Bristol or Cardiff. They do it at the spire hospital and send everything off to FMC in London, who in turn send everything to America. Hope that helps

Sorry to hear about the second twin hayley Sad

Also sorry to hear everyone is feeling rotten! I'm sure it will be all smile in Jan after the MS and the scans are over! Hang in there...

Hey Blueberry, when's your scan, and when are you planning to stop taking cyclogest? Can't wait to stop taking it too.

It's scan day! Trying to stay calm. Another manic day at work (whilst trying not to throw up) should keep my mind off it.

Plateofcrumbs it's scan day for me too - 11.30. What time is yours? Didn't sleep very well last night worrying about what could go wrong.

Really hope it get the NT results before Christmas but doubt I will do now...

MrsA - I had my NHS scan yesterday. They said bloods (combined test) and therefore DS % stats will take 7 working days. So that takes us to approx 6th Jan already!

Morning everyone. Bug has gone thank goodness. Still feel like death but that's just the morning sickness I think. Plus tiredness from not having proper sleep since the DC's started getting ill last Friday. DS3 still got it, house is a complete tip because I've literally done no housework this week apart from washing endless puked on bedding.

The inlaws are coming round later. DS1 has his school disco this evening so I have to get him back to school for 5pm. DS2 hates discos so he will scream like he's being murdered when we drop DS1 off. DS1 will want money to buy crap filled with blue colouring so he will come home high as a kite. Last year I wouldn't give him any and this year the teacher has "had a word" with me because "DS was so upset last year when he didn't have money to by sweets". It's my last chance to get the last minute Christmas bits and I'm still trying to muster up the energy to go out. Oh and I forgot to put the wheelie bin out last night. Fingers crossed they got it from inside our gate as it's full to the brim with all the extra nappies.

Any ideas on how to get the smell of vomit and poo out of the house. I've washed all the bedding, emptied the nappy bucket, scrubbed the changing mat but the horrible smell is still lingering.

Hayley so sorry about twin 2 but glad twin 1 is healthy. Must be very bittersweet.

Welcome to all the newbies, good luck to everyone with scans coming up and congratulations to everyone who have had good scans.

Hi all :)

hope you're all well! I haven't got anything useful to add.

Ive spent the last two weeks or so being a tired, moody witch! Thankfully i am starting to see the back of this now and have slightly more energy, cant wait for the ms to follow suit and disappear!

I discovered that eating half a dozen rich tea biscuits dipped in tea as soon as i get up keeps the sickness away. I didnt have any left today so thought pop tarts would work. They dont. This morning was an epic fail!

good luck for all your scans

Hayley - sorry about twin 2. Hope you're well!

Ellie - sorry you've got the bug. We had it last half term. I usually shake n vac upstairs, bleach the loos and wash the floors with flash (and then leave the mop bucket full for a while) and this tends to cover the smell well.

Oh so this is morning sickness. Escaped it with DD and thought I had again but nope, dry heaving over the toilet at 7am. Nice. 8+5 today.

So sorry for all of you that have had this for weeks on end. Nibbling dry toast at the moment which seems to be helping.

Woot I got a scan date! 27th Dec so next Friday. Also got an appt with a consultant as deemed high risk because of BMI. I calculated it the other day - when I got pregnant it was 30.1 but has obviously risen since. Ah well, I have other issues, so am happy I was referred.

Have zero interest in food these days. As DH doesn't either, entirely too many of our meals involve the phrase 'chip butty'.

Had a good scan today, little one was wriggling kicking and waving away, very cool.

I asked the sonographer and the midwife who did my blood what my nuchal measurement as but all they would say was that it was in the normal range - so good news, but I would like to have known the number. I didn't get any paperwork as it was kept by the hospital separate to my notes so couldn't check there either. Guess I have to wait.

They say they will get the results back on Tuesday and so if I don't get called then (Christmas Eve) then it's low risk.

Moved my dates forward a little (I think a day or two too far to be honest) so I'm now 12wk2

Due date 1/7/14

I also had a scan this morning. All well. A very active and wriggly bean. I also got a wave MrsA2! So glad to be able to share news with family at Christmas. Good luck to those with scans coming up.

mrsa - that's odd I'm sure my hospital would lose any paperwork not put back in my blue folder!
I had my scan yesterday and they said I'd hear back in 7 working days - which is 3rd or 6th Jan! Yours is very efficient!

're consultants - does anyone know if they are different or the same? I've been referred for bmi and underactive thyroid. I am worried about ny thyroid, as I'm not convinced my medicine is working. So I ideally want to see a specialist. But I'm not sure if my consultant specialises in high bmi or something else. Does it work like that? or are consultants consultants?

Scan done!

Good news - healthy little bean, heart beating away, already wriggling away at 9 weeks. Got a bit emotional.

Bad news - I've got some massive endometrioma/cysts (that would explain the I-think-I'm going-to-die period pain then). Sonographer wants me to see a consultant urgently, so have to phone EPU first thing tomorrow. Resisting urge to google "endometrioma pregnancy"!

Oh and all the emotions on top of a crazy day at work - today's the first day I've really wanted a drink. Stuffing my face with wasabi peas but it's a poor substitute for a lovely G&T

Thanks Zing!

3 of them on right ovary - biggest about 7cm. Sonographer couldn't find left ovary so possible they've both got stuck together due to the endometriosis
