Hayley so sorry to hear about twin 2 but great news twin 1 is doing so well. Hope your toddler decided to sleep before midnight! Were you on the April 12 bus? I was May 12 for DS and recognise your name!

Well DH obviously had more sleep last night as was much chirpier this morning and I've managed to get DS out the door to childminder without retching (until he'd gone!) Now attempting a bowl of cereal.

Thinking of everyone with scans today. I have booking tomorrow morning and wondering how much she'll want to know about last pregnancy/labour etc?

Hi Blue, tends to be what type of delivery- any instruments used and any problems ante or post natally.

Thanks cas DS was 3 days early (of his own choice) so kinda hoping that happens again. Though strange thing was he was born on the anniversary of my erpc for mmc which was v healing for me and totally took the sting out of that day :) I took copies of my labour notes from my Blue notes book will she want to see those?

Hayley - sorry to hear about your twin, it must be devastating for you, and, I imagine, a time of confusing conflicting feelings. Hope you're doing ok.

Re my dates - I'm 11+3, EDD 6 July. I get my scan next week, last time around they moved my due date back a few days so I'm expecting the same this time as I think I ovulated on CD17 (ov pain). I'm going to bet a new day of 9 July :-)

justhayley sorry to hear your news, but like everyone said, I’m really happy for you to hear the other baby is strong and healthy.

I have my booking appointment today, from 5-7. Can’t really imagine what’s going to take 2 hours, or whether they just allow that time in case something is wrong and they end up needing it.

Can’t wait till 12-week scan on 2nd Jan....two weeks to go – really crossing fingers both of our own twins are still OK then. Kind of driving myself a bit mad with worry when I think about it all, so just trying not to think about it much – in between the retching, that is!

Blue I wouldn't imagine she would but if your labour was complicated in any way then it wouldn't do any harm.

It only took about 30 seconds to tick a few boxes but if you want to discuss it more I'm sure that would be fine too.

new discovery - frozen peas!!!
(well, rediscovery)

when you feel sick eat frozen peas.
slightly sweet but not sickly and it's soothing cold.
a great combo.

(and if it comes back it doesn't taste awful)

Well hello all. I am completely gobsmacked to be posting in this group, having TTC #2 for nearly 2 years (Have a gorgeous 3 and a bit year old).

Have been through 6 months of fertility, nutrition, reflexology etc which we stopped at the end of the summer. Was looking to start IVF early 2014 once we had funds for it.

BUT

My LMP was 11 Oct, (I am now taking a minor show on 11 Nov as embedding rather than anovulatory!) and 4 BFPs on tests taken last weekend (inc 2 digital ones which appeared as 3+ immediately!) means I guess a mid July baby.

EEK!

Scared, excited and totally not sure whether it's real or not as v few symptoms.

Scan on Monday..... so I am delighted and honoured to ask "Can I join your club?"

Jaykay scan was fine, dates still the same! they were running an hour late so was a bit of pain. just waiting to get bloods done, on my own now as dh had to go move the car! they wouldn't tell me the nt measurement but saw it on screen as 1.7 which to me seems quite big although they say under 3.5 is ok. will be a long wait for blood results. wish I'd gone and had the Harmony now! good luck for yours!!

hope everyone is doing ok and scans/appts are going ok.

i am incredibly emotional at the moment and being pants at my job as i can't bloody think straight. i swear it is the carbs but i can't stomach meat, salad, veg, yogurt or most other things i would normally eat.

i was in london yesterday and twisted my ankle umpteen times making the sprain worse and then i got bumped into by a drunk on a mobility scooter. i was luckier than the old lady he really hit and knocked flying. i ended up crying like a loon as i thought about what could've happened if he'd really hit me :( the old lady seemed ok after 10 mins. but it did make me think whether i should be carrying my yellow thing when i'm away wiyh work

due july 21st. had 1st appointment on monday past and got a quick 2min scan from her. midwife measures little one as 3.28cm which we have read to be similar to 10wks not 9wks (on Monday). we also thought we were 10wks along not 9. also got bloods taken and given green folder. was told all my care would be midwife led and told to book an appointment with community midwife for 4wks time. feeling a bit lost. what happens now? do we get a 12wk scan or do we have to wait for the big one? what abt screening etc? (antrim area hospital) nausea fingers crossed continually slowly decreasing this week

Jaykay yes it's in my notes as 1.7. Everything looked fine and she said the nasal bone was present. She must of thought I was a bit weird asking all the questions! My dates were exact so 12+1 and still 1st July. Just praying that my bloods are ok! Had a look in Mothercare today, omg so many different prams to choose from! I need one that's easy to steer lol and some of them are soooo big!

Well, we just went and told my parents and brother and sister in law, didn't get the excited reaction I was hoping for, think parents are in shock as I've never spoken about wanting kids! Sil was a bit upset as she had a mc earlier this year so knew that would be difficult. Guess there's never a right time to tell people!

Just checking in for some and sympathy as feeling very sorry for myself due to feeling sick, starving hungry, stomach (hunger) cramps and an upset stomach since Sunday. Haven't eaten properly since the weekend so now feeling weak and pathetic and a massive baby. Hoping it's a bug and not MS as I can't put up with this much longer, I'm only 8-9 weeks!

I feel like shouting STOP THE PRESSES as I've discovered (according to my app, at least) that I can have brie and camembert etc. as long as it is heated to the point of bubbling! It's basically all I've been craving and now I'm very excited.

Wondering whether to call for my scan appointment again tomorrow (called Monday - they said they'd call me back - but didn't) or just wait till new year. Except according to LMP I'm 11+4 already and I want my scan dammit. Want to tell people if everything is OK! #bursting
