coco808 · 15/01/2014 20:36

awww he is amazing plate...you are in best hand Smile

coco808 · 15/01/2014 20:42

eekkk ellie.... well she did well for you and DS4 since you are both doing well. I read the whole case and report from GMC in the GMC gazette...don't think I can trust her Sad ...sorry I sound so horrible but anyone who can not feel sorry for their dog, can never empathize with me. Did you see the picture of the dogs? It was heart-breaking. I hope I don't get her next Tuesday...
Mr Guy Fender has the best credentials, spotless record, good publications etc but I'm not sure if he does C-sections

ComeBabyCome · 15/01/2014 20:52

plate thinking of you and yes! prof N is excellent. Not the greatest bedside manner but very good at his Job and kings is the right hospital for all these tests. (I work in the maternity world in london)

Love reading everyone's updates. Love to you all xxx

elliejjtiny · 15/01/2014 20:58

I didn't see the photos, no, just read one little article and decided to stop reading after that as it made me feel uncomfortable knowing she'd looked after DS4. Mr Fender definitely does C-sections. He would have done mine but I got bumped to the next day. I met him though and he's very nice. He was my consultant in 2005 too but I didn't meet him then, just his very gorgeous registrar Blush.

LucyB1 · 15/01/2014 21:13

Hi. Can I join. In 15+3. Really want to get to the 20 week mark so I can start buying stuff and hopefully feel baby move (1st time mum). Hate to wish away the experience but it feels like these next few weeks are going to go on forever!!!

coco808 · 15/01/2014 21:31

oh sorry ellie hope i haven't shared too much and upset you ..

FoxtrotOscarBackToEconomy · 15/01/2014 21:37

No useful advice for you Plate but I just wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you. Sounds like you are in the best place for the tests.

Job for tomorrow is to book my next scan at the end of Feb. I keep forgetting to do it!

And other thing is I must cut back on the eating. Only gained 1kg so far but at the rate I'm eating crap this week I'm going to put on 5kg overnight. My silly target is to weigh less than DH on delivery day! That gives me 12kg to gain at the moment, but he keeps on losing weight so I wouldn't be surprised if he loses another couple of kg reducing my weight gain 'allowance'.

Are there any more 12 week scans this week?

NancyinCali · 15/01/2014 21:59

Just seen your update plate. I'm thinking of you! Definitely focus on the 99/100 side if you can (easy to say and I'm the worst for for "worst first" thinking so I can't talk at all). Just piling on and adding the unmumsnetty hugs and love. x

I'm feeling happier today after a good appointment with my endocrinologist. Need to take a daily tablet for my hypothyroidism, have a monthly blood test and see the doctor every two months but everything should be fine with me and the baby and I'll likely be fine after delivery.

foxtrot I'm eating so much at the moment and worried about weight gain too. I'm hoping it might calm down soon! Around this time with DD I stopped feeling the need to eat so much. But yes theborrower my bump is ridiculous for 13 weeks (I had nothing first time around at this stage unless I pushed it out!).

lucyB1 welcome! I can't wait for movement too.

turnwest · 15/01/2014 22:06

the borrower my bump is pretty obvious already, and I m only 13 weeks! Third pregnancy though. I was enormous though by 9 months last time, praying that it does nt get so big or worse bigger this time.

ismarah · 15/01/2014 22:25

Plate Kings is awesome in general an from the sound if it, also awesome in maternity. Well done on staying rational and positive, fx everything works out.

elliejjtiny · 15/01/2014 22:33

don't worry coco I just meant that I read enough to satisfy my curiosity and then stopped before I read too much. Do you go into wellington for midwife appointments or do you have a dr surgery closer (apologies for terrible geography knowledge) just wondering if we have the same midwife too.

ZingSweetApple · 15/01/2014 23:35

not read back loads, but plate good luck with whatever you decide to do/able to get done.

here - nose bleeds have started.
nice

ItsAlwaysBetterOnHoliday · 16/01/2014 00:30

Just caught up. Good luck plate, hope it all works out. X

oo00PIXIE00oo · 16/01/2014 09:07

Have my 12 week scan today and am seriously nervous :(

museumworker · 16/01/2014 10:34

plate, wishing you well with the tests, it sounds like you are in fantastic hands.

just had to jump off bus and vomit all over the bus stop! Then came home again - that was a 2 hour journey I hope not to repeat. Haven't actually been sick in this pregnancy, so thinking it might be a virus.

Have my baby on board badge on, hadn't thought of it as gloaty, more just a way of letting people know without having to outright ask them for a seat. Saying that, about 50% of the time in last pregnancy despite being MASSIVE and with badge I wouldn't get offered a seat. I did have a tube worker help carry my buggy down the stairs yesterday when the escalator broke though thanks to the badge. I had to carry DS though, he's the heavy bit!

Bump is there, but less noticeable than last time, according to a few friends. Think the MS has made me lose a bit of weight. All my maternity clothes are WAY too big at the mo!

Fox82 · 16/01/2014 11:21

Good luck Pixie! I have mine today too. I feel equally excited and scared!

Incapinka · 16/01/2014 11:47

Good luck to plate and everyone having scans.

Is anyone else absolutely exhausted? I'm 15 weeks now and just feel this debilitating exhaustion very hard to shift. I also did Pilates on Tuesday evening for the first time since pregnant and haven't felt the same since. My instructor is fab and knows I am pregnant but don't think I can do it again if that is what has caused this exhaustion and nausea to return. Need to find something to strengthen my rubbish back...

MrsKate · 16/01/2014 11:48

Hi girls I had my 12 week scan I'm due on the 30th . This isy 2nd and I'm massive I feel I look 6 months not 3 lol

AuntieMaggie · 16/01/2014 11:57

plate fingers crossed for the cvs.

ismarah unless you're seeing the consultant for something they can actually see on the 20 week scan then I don't think it will make any difference whether you have the scan before or after your appointment.

Anyone getting movement yet? I felt DS from about 20 weeks though I hear you can spot subsequent ones earlier.... 15 weeks today and impatient!

jaykay987 · 16/01/2014 14:58

I think I've felt it the past few days (16 weeks with my first).

I'm not 100% sure though. When I saw the me today she thought I was likely to have felt something, even if I had realised what it was.

Fox82 · 16/01/2014 15:44

Had the scan this afternoon and all seems great Grin Good luck for anyone else having a scan today

AuntieMaggie · 16/01/2014 16:20

BTW thank you MrsB for keeping our list up to date :)

elliejjtiny · 16/01/2014 17:16

Had my booking in appointment and all was good. I've asked for a VBAC but I need to talk to the consultant about that. dating scan on Monday, eek.
