Am I the only poor sod in work this week? Bah humbug! Xmas Wink

I feel like Christmas is already done and over! Am very much looking forward to Wednesday and Thursday off work to go to family for christmas dinner and to have a date night with dh. Am trying to keep busy and fill my time with fun stuff otherwise I'll get upset about Ds being away over christmas. I can't complain too much - we did have a good fakemas. And it's his birthday a couple of weeks after he returns so I have that to spend money on look forward to!

How is everyone doing this week? My belly continues to grow and grow - I'm sure my belly button will pop out soon!

moobaloo · 23/12/2013 10:08

dobe Nope - I'm working a 5 day week as per usual, only Weds and Sunday off. Bah humbug indeed! Off to work in a min but won't be home till 8pm Sad

Just checking in - I have been so busy I've not been on in about a week it must be! 19 weeks today Grin

Will catch up on all scan and other news later when I have a bit more time Smile just read the last page and all sounds good!

My scan is two weeks today! so excited!

Getting properly bumpy now too Smile

Merry Christmas to all!

Hezbean · 23/12/2013 10:15

I'm 19 weeks today too moobaloo! Sorry you and dobe are having such busy weeks. I'm working from home this morning which is fine. Not too much going on just a few loose ends to tie up. Think I probably won't head out of town today, looks like the storm will be horrible this afternoon. Hope no one has to travel very far today.

Ooh just remembered there are mince pies in the kitchen....

AliOh · 23/12/2013 10:25

Congrats on team blue mumof2 and good luck with your scan today mrsmummy mines at 3pm so excited :) will we be team pink, team blue or team yellow? Who knows?! Wouldn't be going out if we didn't have to go to the hospital the weather is just horrendous! Hoping the bridge isn't closed or it's a 60 mile round trip Xmas Hmm

moominleigh94 · 23/12/2013 10:35

Ali I'm home for Christmas and praying we don't need the hospital - usually it'd be an hour away but because our bridge is closed until March at the earliest, it's an hour and three quarters Hmm Best of luck with your scan! All these scans and good news is making me so excited Xmas Grin

Think my innie is going to become an outie any day now, I feel massive.

ISawNannyPlumKissingSantaClaus · 23/12/2013 13:00

Back from the scan! Baby looks pretty good andddddd it's a GIRL! woohoo :) (completely wrong against all the gender prediction things haha)
Only slight worry is that her one foot is facing the wrong direction so I have to go up to Birmingham Fetal Medicine to have a detailed scan done (but I get to see my beautiful baby again so not all bad news!)

It could be a lot worse guys - brain and heart look good, no cleft lip and two arms and legs!

rebeccax2 · 23/12/2013 13:27

Wonderful girly news Nanny

Just finished the Christmas shopping, off to Austria tomorrow. I love this time of year! :-) x

mumof2aimingfor4 · 23/12/2013 14:01

Congratulations on a pink one nanny don't worry about her foot until you've had a detailed scan, things like that can be fixed after birth anyway. Scan showed no major issues which is the main thing.

Congratulations on the good scan news everyone.

moominleigh94 · 23/12/2013 14:50

Congrats Nanny Grin

Just had a call from the consultant saying they really think it would be best if I came to the appointment tomorrow, which I tried to cancel last week and wasn't able to. I said sorry, I'm two hours away and the road is likely to close tonight. Next available appointment is 21st January which I'm fine with, don't understand all the fuss really Grin

dobedobedo · 23/12/2013 15:26

Congratulations on the scan Nanny!

ThistletoeAndWine · 23/12/2013 17:18

Congrats nanny & Ali on the healthy babies. We had our 20 week scan today too & I'm delighted that everything looks healthy with our little girl! Was great to see her again & she was doing the same pose she did a couple of weeks ago at the gender scan, with her arms above her head! Aww!

ISawNannyPlumKissingSantaClaus · 23/12/2013 21:44

Thanks all :) congrats ali and mrsmummy on your beautify healthy babies too

Chip86 · 24/12/2013 03:47

Congratulations all on your lovely scans and news we have lots of boys and girls now so exciting

My tummy is rock hard and she moves so much at night its hard to get comfy thats why im awake at stupid time, oh well never mind

ThistletoeAndWine · 24/12/2013 06:15

21 weeks today and still no movements!!

ThistletoeAndWine · 24/12/2013 06:19

Sorry a, 21 tomorrow with no movements

Spirael · 24/12/2013 09:03

Congratulations to all who've had successful scans! :) I think we're still fairly boy heavy in the thread, but it does seem to have evened out a bit. It'll probably even out more once some of the surprises make their appearance in May!

I wouldn't worry Thistle. With my first I didn't start to feel movements until 23 weeks, and even then they were very gentle. The big kicks didn't start until later, and to be honest I found I noticed more when DD1 decided to have a stretch and I could feel her feet in my ribcage while her head squashed my bladder!

Very excited about having another baby girl. :) I still haven't bought anything specifically for her, however. I'm not really sure what to get! We already have most of the kit and clothes from last time around. I guess maybe I'll invest in some new dribble bibs, as the plastic has perished from the last set and the triangular towelling ones are now more mainstream and easier to acquire.

impatientlywaiting · 24/12/2013 09:52

Thistle try not to worry. I'm so embarrassed but it turns out that I thought I'd been feeling kicks for the last 3 and a half weeks, but then I had my first kick on Friday (when I was 21+2) and it was a completely different feeling to what I had felt before (which i'm guessing was just stretchy cervix/general insides stretching)

I think (TMI - apologies) that the movement is causing me a bit of wind, so its taken me until today to be sure that it's definitely the baby moving but i'm pretty sure now that it is. It feels like my whole tummy flipped over, and my DH could feel it yesterday too. It actually makes me feel slightly nauseous but hopefully that'll pass as I get used to it.

Merry Christmas Eve everyone - some last minute shopping for me, making cupcakes and Christmas Photobooth props, before heading out for drinks (single for me, plural for DH) with our friends as its a Christmas Eve tradition - made all the easier this year as there is no arguing about designated drivers or getting taxis.

ThistletoeAndWine · 24/12/2013 17:28

My dh hasn't heard baby's heart beat. So for a cheeky treat I had a midwife listen in today and I've recorded it for him tomorrow

mrsmummytobe · 24/12/2013 18:35

Just posted in the fb group, but for those not on it, I wish you all a lovely Christmas & easy, stress-free pregnancies in 2014! X

BlanketSky · 24/12/2013 18:50
