Have a great weekend everyone :) I'm off to Manchester tomorrow for the Christmas markets :) Got some wrapping to do first though... and then to make a note of what I still need to get!

sambababy · 20/12/2013 19:44

LOVE the Manchester Christmas markets! If only we could indulge in some of that lovely gluhwein! Wine

Choppa · 20/12/2013 20:00

Ahhh lots of lovely scan news.

spirael ...I'll be home birthing it this time too hopefully. Had DS1 into water at home last time. Really want to try for the same again. We also have a bigger house with a room perfect for pool :)

xav glad doc was able to help.

Just been to kids Xmas party after a really busy week and feeling completely cream crackered. We have busy family weekend with the outlaws staying and my mums 60th birthday bash on Sunday. My tiny tiny (slim tiny) cousin is due her baby in March and bet she has a really lovely little neat bump (I haven't seen her for a few months) whereas I on the other hand look like a blob...looking forward to the comments from well meaning relatives :)

Have a nice weekend all

PS I really want to join the Facebook group. Can one of you lovely members invite me please?? www.facebook.com/michelle.lane.980

impatientlywaiting · 20/12/2013 22:03

No way about a September thread! We are sooo pregnant.

MrsFooCough · 21/12/2013 02:02

Hey all. Congratulations if you've had your anomaly/gender scans already, I have no scan news as I'm just
17wks today.
Grandpa's funeral was yesterday (technically) and I cannot sleep for the life of me. Had a really vivid dream that I was staying at one of my old houses with a load of random people for a holiday or something, and a fire started in my old bedroom and destroyed all my stuff I'd taken on this holiday with me. My iPhone was in the room where the fire was and I was scared because it meant I couldn't contact DH or my parents. Had to phone 999, but after 30mins no fire engines at all.
I'm really freaked out by this bloody dream! And I just cannot effing sleep. So tired.
Funeral was the worst thing I've ever had to do.

smile4me · 21/12/2013 09:01

Hi, wondering if I can join in Smile Have been lurking for a while but was a bit scared to join until had had my scan!

I'm due 14th may with no 2, we are in team yellow, although I was very paranoid I'd accidently find out the sex at the scan! I just love keeping guessing until the very end Wink

My DD is 14m and has recently lost the ability to sleep more than 45 mins at night at a time Confused so I'm totally shattered and a bit of a walking zombie at times. Thank god I'm not 1st trimester anymore or I don't think I'd have the energy to even leave the house in the morning!

loopylou52 · 21/12/2013 09:21

Welcome smile!

Thanks for MrsFoo. Hope you managed to get some sleep in the end. Funerals are horrible.

We had our scan yesterday and all was well (team yellow).Smile

MrsFooCough · 21/12/2013 12:56

Sorry for wee-small-hours breakdown there! That was just horrible. Ugh. But I'm better now, emotionally anyway. Probably tmi but I've got mad d&v without the v, just nausea. Not fun! Hoping it's just stress-related, I kind of have a dodgy gut when it comes to stress. Just worry that all the d cramps will bother Bean!
About everyone's anomaly/gender scans: when did you get notification about when yours would be? I had a letter thru about 3wks ago about a consultant appt which falls roughly at the 20wk mark, is that likely to be a scan too? Being a first-timer I get bothered that I'm not being proactive enough with my midwives, asking the right questions or whatever.

loopylou52 · 21/12/2013 14:30

I had to book mine at the ultrasound reception when I was there for my 12 week scan (but I also had to phone the hospital directly to book my 12 week scan). It seems very different in different places but I'd have thought it would be the same sort of procedure for this scan as for your first one.

mrsmummytobe · 21/12/2013 14:38

Sorry to hear your sad news mrsfoo. Hope you're getting plenty of rest & looking after Thanks About the 20 week scan, I'm the same as loopylou, had to book it at my 12 week appointment. Did you have a 16 week appt with the midwife?

mrsmummytobe · 21/12/2013 14:48

I have to say I'm getting excited at the thought of Christmas next year with a little crawling baby!!! :)

snoozysleeper · 21/12/2013 16:16

I also had to book at 12 week scan appt for the 20wk one- you could always call them to clarify

I hope you feel a little better now mrsfoo

Welcome smile

bushprincess · 21/12/2013 16:22

Hey all! so glad there's so much lovely scan news....and so many hitting that wonderful halfway point (20 weeks on monday for me!).

Welcome smile!

So we found out on thursday that we're team blue - DH really excited when I got hold of him, and it's lovely to be able to say 'he' rather than 'it'!!

got home this afternoon after an overnight flight and long train ride... people keep telling me my bump is so small for 19wks, but it was obviously big enough for people to notice (or I was giving off helpless vibes!) as people kept helping me with my (admittedly massive!) bags! hurrah to kindness and christmas spirit!

May not check in much over the next week but hope everyone stays healthy and well and enjoys christmas to the full!!! xxx

Spirael · 21/12/2013 18:26

Just quickly dropping in, had my scan today. All looks good, measurements are right for the dates and... We're having another girl. :) Very excited, until now my side of the family doesn't have more than one girl per family!

DD(1 Grin) is pleased, she wanted a sister and has been adamant she's getting one right from the start.

Now we just need to settle on a name! We had sorted one for a boy, but hadn't settled for a girl. Oh well, we have time yet!

mumof2aimingfor4 · 21/12/2013 19:15

Congratulations spirael

Welcome and hello smile

bushprincess please take it easy lifting luggage etc. I have definitely learnt from my mistake of lifting too much!

Congrats smile spireal and chip lovely scan news.

My scan feels so far away! January 6th and I'll be 21 weeks.

I need a new TV series box set to watch - any suggestions? xx

mrsmummytobe · 21/12/2013 22:08

Have you seen modern family, rebecca? It's really funny. Other good ones are dexter or game of thrones. Or if you haven't seen Broadchurch that was brilliant!

ThistletoeAndWine · 21/12/2013 22:18

So so tired

Xavielli · 22/12/2013 03:06

Orange is the new black is good. I love bones and dexter.

dobedobedo · 22/12/2013 07:10

Congratulations on the lovely scan news!
Rebecca, some TV shows I've loved are: Dexter, Breaking bad, modern family, homeland, new girl, suits, and if you're feeling 90s, Buffy! Grin

Yesterday we had our Christmas as ds is off to his dad's today (another country for Xmas). I'm completely shattered. Had a houseful all day, been cooking all day, wrapping presents all night the night before. When I went to bed last night my legs were all swollen. Still. Ds had a wonderful time and loves all his presents. Grin

Everyone is so excited that we are having a boy. I haven't had any "sorry you didn't get a girl this time" remarks, which is good because I might have punched them! Wink I still can't believe it. Finding out that it's a boy has made him seem all the more real and has made me dead excited about having a baby.

mumof2aimingfor4 · 22/12/2013 08:30

dobe really glad your son had a great fakemas. We'll be doing ours on Tuesday as we have to keave home for the airport at 3.30am on wednesday morning!

We have our gender scan at midday today, cross fingers for us please ladies that its a blue one.

rebecca suits is a great tv series not to mention that Harvey is a bit tasty! ;)
Game of thrones is really good too. Im basically repeating mrsmummy and dobe.

rebeccax2 · 22/12/2013 08:40

Oooh you've all got good taste in TV.
I've not done Broadchurch or Suits but I'm right up to date on most of the others.

I think i felt the baby. Like a lava lamp bubble bursting just below my belly button. Could that be it?

mrsmummytobe · 22/12/2013 08:46

Morning all! I'm feeling the baby move more & more now too Rebecca. It's such an amazing feeling isn't it! My dh can also feel her too if he puts his hand on the bump at the right time.

Omg I've just been looking at the post-natal groups.... That will be us before too long ladies! This will be my first child & I definitely feel there is SO much I don't know!
