Ladies I think we need a new festive thread to take us through to the end of the year. And as it will be me to sneeze next –how did it get around to my turn so quickly???-- I thought I would do the honours.

It's amazing how much difference having a choice can make sweetie. When I was having trouble bf DS I bought a bottle and a carton of formula milk. We never used it, but just having it there meant I could focus on what I was doing and not worry DS would starve to death if I couldn't feed him at any point. It's even more important in labour to feel you're in control of as much of it as you can be. You're definately not a nightmare!

SweetieTime · 22/11/2013 12:23

Thanks lovelies, I cannot help how I am especially as I get near to the end. Pen I think my bump has dropped, I have been having pressure low down and often feel like I need to pee or the other when I don't really need to go. I have had to dash to the loo over the last few days. I haven't had any BH or twinges as such so I am not sure, probably wishful thinking on my part and seeing symptoms that aren't really there. We all know how we all love to symptom spot.

Stacks I think you have hit the nail on the head, it is just having the back up in place that allows you to relax. Good example about DS feeding.

Sweetie that makes total sense! You're not a nightmare at all. So pleased you have got it all sorted so you can focus on things properly now. What a relief it must be!

Sounds like you're going to have a lovely day Pen!! Have you gy anything planned when you're there?

How's the tiredness how Stacks?

EverythingIs50YearsWho · 22/11/2013 16:38

Omg I am so tired. After basically no sleep all night I am now up to get ready to go. So tempted to stay in bed. Think I'll be having an early night tonight.

sweetie you'll be pleased to hear that in the few hours I got, I dreamt my Dp and I was with you during labour. Maybe was also there. However, your Dp was no where to be seen. Not really sure what that was about.

We went to visit Dps friends last night and I had a cuddle with their really tiny DD. She was so tiny and so cute. Can't wait until this one arrives now Smile

Hope everyone has a great relaxing weekend.

BlindKitty · 23/11/2013 08:49

solars fab news! Grin how come you had the sex in an envelope? Did they not tell you at the scan?

penguin sorry you're so uncomfortable, wish I had some useful advice to give you

boo 10 guesses what you're doing tonight!

keep how is motherhood? I'm imagining you have everything under control and a baby that never cries!

Solars · 23/11/2013 10:00

Hey Kitty how are you doing? We had the sex in the envelope as we both couldn't agree whether we wanted to know what he was. Are you going to find out?

Pen these little ones can be so unco-operative can't they but great you at least get another scan.

I'm not a DrWho Tardis fan Boo & Rubber but I'm sure things will be getting all orgasmic for you later or perhaps already! I have also been told by my niece that it's One Direction day today on YouTube with some live streaming going on from 7pm...she's already going orgasmic about it but she has to get her homework done first!

Keep great to hear that little S is doing so well!

So Sweetie that means when you go into labour before 38 weeks you just ask for a c-section and they have to oblige now? How are you doing?

And how is everyone else? Too, Stacks, Maybe, Bumpie, Trix? will Fox be joining us soon?

We have a busy weekend so thought I'd get a post in quick as we have guests coming over later and then out tomorrow for lunch at friends. What is everyone else up to?

BlindKitty · 23/11/2013 10:50

solars ha that's hilarious! We're you not worried that dh would sneak a peak before you???

We're so desperate to find out the sex that we've booked a little Christmas scan! Figured we could put the answer in our parents crackers!

Ooh and my friend gave me a doppler yesterday....
A-MAZING Grin

SweetieTime · 23/11/2013 11:09

Kitty great to hear everything is going so well and I cannot blame you booking a gender scan before Christmas. How lovely to be able to tell everyone at Christmas, makes it so special.

Pen enjoy Dublin, I had some very strange preggo dreams especially at first they seem to have eased off now which is a shame cos some of them were very rude Blush

Solars sounds like you have a busy weekend planned, try to rest a bit if you can you don't want to overdo things.
Basically if I go into natural labour before planned date then I should be ok to have one. I think there maybe specifics that I need to clarify at my next consultant appointment, such as how far on I am when I arrive (some places will only do ELCS when under 5cm dilated).

Hope all the Whovians enjoy the show if they haven't burst with anticipation before it is actually shown Grin

Hello all,

Sorry, have been lurking but so tired and busy at work that I have read in amusement and congratulations keep but not really had much to contribute.

I am so pleased that some of you are getting answers and progressing well.

I am rubbish at name checking so I will say well done ?sweetie for getting the C-section in notes.

?maybe it looks like you are taking it more easy but I get that we go through a guilt thing when work are pressurising!! I have to say, I think I am the first person in a few years to have a baby and they all seem a little scared!!

trix did you get your buggy?? How is the organising going?!

Well, we have sugar soap'd the walls of the nursery today ready to paint net weekend. I am trying to find a place that sells the wall stickers I want but not at the price of John Lewis!! Bump is now moving around a great deal and actually it is really funny watching it!!

How are we all??

keepitgoing · 23/11/2013 22:15

kitty I definitely do not have it under control!! Days are lovely, but nights vv hard, she is waking for feeds every two hours or so and then settling her is hard... Still, she's only two weeks today. Am dreading dh going back to work Tuesday, it seems to have flown by :( He is dreading it too.

sweetie keep those twins in as long as poss, but I'm.so glad it links like you can have a cs. I can't wait for another meet up, maybe weren't you supposed to be coming our way?

X

keepitgoing · 24/11/2013 06:27

Does someone want olives' hypno birth cd and 80s yoga dvd?

Bumpiemalumpie · 24/11/2013 09:01

Oh I would love the hypnobirthing cd please!! Hips aren't up to much yoga atm

NoMaybeAboutIt · 24/11/2013 11:05

Good to hear from you Bumpie! How many weeks are you now?

Keep I am desperately hoping to be coming your way before Fin makes an appearance! How are you doing lovely? I definitely think we need another photo of S!

Dos you have a good weekend Pen?

Bumpiemalumpie · 24/11/2013 14:07

hey maybe how are feeling?

I am 30weeks today!! feeling slightly heffalump, strange that during the week I feel active and am able to loads but at the weekends I feel useless!!

can I ask what fb group you all talk about? I miss all the baby photos!!

cartoontrickster · 24/11/2013 15:11

pen hope you enjoyed your weekend away.
hey bumpie I was 32wks yesterday so there's only like 2wks between us I didn't realise! we got the icandy apple2. have you got your pram?
I've spent some time re-organising and getting rid of stuff (again) this weekend. honestly the more space you have the more stuff you have.
you will never have seen someone with as many clothes, shoes, bags, nail varnish etc as me. I already got rid of like 10 bags of stuff a couple of months ago. thank god we have 3 bed rooms so we've only had to move our selves out of the one room! and can still spread out into the other spare bedroom, there is literally no chance all our stuff will ever fit just in our bedroom.
my first load of baby washing is currently in the machine!
so talk to me about Moses baskets are they worth spending £££ on or cheap as poss?
oh hope the whovians enjoyed the show yesterday dh did.

keepitgoing · 24/11/2013 15:47

trix I'd say a cheapo as they don't use them for long. We got a £25 from kiddicare and I think it's lovely, esp with the sheepskin in. Will try and add photo but it's hard on mn.

TimeAndRubberBulletsInSpace · 24/11/2013 15:55

I didn't have a moses basket

keepitgoing · 24/11/2013 16:28

I find it handy for downstairs in the day, though a carrycot would be the same if your pram had one.

cartoontrickster · 24/11/2013 16:33

what did you use rubber, a crib?
keep is it annoying lugging the basket up and down stairs? pram does have a carry cot but I think the Moses basket will be nicer iyswim.
are you on instagram?

cartoontrickster · 24/11/2013 16:39

rocking stand or no?

EverythingIs50YearsWho · 24/11/2013 16:41

I didn't bother with a moses either, we had a crib by the bed and she slept in her carry cot downstairs.

Bumpie we have a super secret FB page. If you want in, message me with your real name (and what your profile pic looks like) I will friend you and join you up. It's so amazing to see your Internet friends real faces :):)

I am not quite over just how good Dr Who was last night, we saw it in the cinema in 3D, bloody amazing!!

Ooh and Maybe make sure you let us know when you're heading up t'north I will make sure we're free :):)
