Ladies I think we need a new festive thread to take us through to the end of the year. And as it will be me to sneeze next –how did it get around to my turn so quickly???-- I thought I would do the honours.

bumpie come join us in postgrads to obsess over sleeping etc. are you bf?

maybe when do you see the mW next? is she head down?

Stacks · 04/02/2014 09:45

I'm on the app, so can't copy and paste the due list. Can someone add me?

Stacks 19+5, UBB (till scan on Fri 7th) DC2, due 26/06.

I'm not even thinking about being overdue/early yet. Though I really, really want to avoid an induction this time if possible. I don't think there's any way to know or even guess when baby will come, so I just try and relax and get on with it.

I bought a pram this week, first baby purchase, and much, much earlier than I bought anything for DS! It's a second hand Citi Select off eBay, a single/double pushchair come travel system which will hopefully do us for DS till baby is born, then for both till DS walks more, and finally for just baby. That's the plan anyway, it's apparently rather bloody large though. I've not seen it yet, my sister picked it up for us, we'll be getting it when we go visit her in a couple of weeks. I feel a bit nervous having bought something so big already, I wasn't nearly so relaxed about DS. I think I was well past 30 weeks with him before we bought anything.. I just really hope this doesn't bite me in the bum :(

ThedementedPenguin · 04/02/2014 09:52

stacks great news about the doctor and your referral. A bit late but at least you've got it.

Maybe 33+1 EDD 24th March, Fin is a girl.

Penguin 31+3 EDD 05 April, Pingu is a girl.

Too - 15+6, due 23 July 14, UBB (so far), 20 wk scan date 7 March

Have got my physio referral for this Thursday so fingers crossed there's been a miracle cure for me.

keep pass some of that early baby stuff here. I do not want to go over with this baby. 11 days I went last time, longest 11 days of my life.

My 34 weeks appointment is with the GP Keep. They don't look at presentation till 36 weeks here. Nor do they plot fundal height till then Hmm. She has been head down at every scan, and I don't think she has changed. At hypnobirthing they were all amazed at how much my bump had apparently dropped in the week, so maybe she is preparing Wink

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 04/02/2014 13:02

Stacks, we bought a city select before ds1 as we always planned to have small age gaps. We have never regretted it, it is a bit bulky but it is so sturdy and easy to steer and loads of space in the basket thing under Neath and so flexible re how you can seat them etc, met lots of jealous parents whenever we use it as a double, and if we cleaned the wheels it would look as good as new.

Bumpiemalumpie · 04/02/2014 15:39

keep which post grads is it??

Solars 38 due 18 Feb, team blue for Sunbeam

Sorry for poor show recently!

Keep bump is still here but I'm trying to stay active to encourage operation eviction! which is quite hard because I feel constantly exhausted! I have a feeling this one may be a little late but we'll see!

Stacks great news about your dr at least now you'll be headed in the right direction with the thyroid issues and I'm brooking you won't be bitten in the bum!

Good luck with the physio Pen you poor thing.

Fox how are you getting on?

Maybe they started measuring fundal height since 16 weeks with us and presentation since 28 weeks and he's been head down since then. Hope the decorating has been going well today.

Well this week is a bit of a pampering week for me, I had reflexology yesterday, which was lush, I wanted to go back next week but the only date she had was next Thursday and she said it was too near due date and she wanted to see me again on due date to help things along if I hadn't popped before then. But I would definitely recommend reflexology in the last couple of weeks! I had my haircut today as I'm not sure when I'm likely to have it done again once little one arrives. And tomorrow I'm having a bikini line wax, I have no idea what the state of affairs is down there at the moment Blush oh yes, on Thursday I'm getting a deep clean of the oven done which I'm weirdly looking forward to!!

SantaMaybe · 04/02/2014 22:47

Sounds amazing Solars!! I am managing to blindly look after my bikini line Grin. Reflexology is lovely isn't it. I also want to get my oven cleaned! Oh, it's the simple things Wink

I get so confused why different trusts do things so differently. I've had my bump measured since 20 weeks, but never plotted.

Stacks, I forgot to say, great news about the thyroid. Must be a weight off to know you're finally being looked after properly!

DinoSnores · 05/02/2014 15:09

stacks, I am really pleased that someone is taking your thyroid seriously now! Every hospital everywhere has someone doing endocrine stuff! We do all the diabetes as well, and there is plenty of that about!

Amazing to read the stats. I can't believe how time has flown for you all. DD2 was born on the 18th Feb, solars, so it is a good day to be born!

maybe, how odd about fundal height? I've had it measured after about 20 weeks, with them happy as long as it is roughly equal to the number of weeks I was. I think I had a growth scan with DS because of some discrepancy but it was all very reassuring.

SantaMaybe · 05/02/2014 18:15

How are you feeling Dino? Has the bug passed? It is strange. They measure and write but down, but lots if other people have them plotted on graphs, which they won't do here till later. V odd Smile

DinoSnores · 05/02/2014 18:29

I've never had it plotted on a graph but the number from the time before was looked at.

Feeling much better, thanks, just waiting for the scan appt to come through the door...

RubberBullets · 05/02/2014 19:03

I never had mine plotted on a graph. I always measured bang on the number of weeks so it would have been a lovely neat looking graph too [needy]

musicalmrs · 05/02/2014 19:06

Glad you're feeling better Dino. Brooking that your appointment comes through soon.

They never plotted my fungal height on a graph over here in my corner of Essex Maybe!

ThedementedPenguin · 05/02/2014 20:08

Maybe I don't remember them plotting it on a graph for ds. I measured small with him though. This time I've had it plotted twice. Once by consultant and the midwife done it the other day. I'm measuring 2 weeks small with this one but should be the same as ds.

Solars you really don't have long left at all. Hoping he doesn't keep you waiting too long. The pampering sounds fantastic, with ds I wanted to get reflexology but the woman refused as I didn't go to her the whole way through my pregnancy.

Physio tomorrow morning. I desperately need it as I'm in agony again tonight. We took ds to the swimming pool it's got slides and a wave pool and I think it's wrecked me. Sad was fun though. Think I'll be giving it a miss for a while.

Solars · 06/02/2014 07:46

Good luck today Pen Very odd about you're refelexology woman, I've not had it all the way through at all.

Dino didn't realise you were ill, hope you're on the mend now though.

I've not has the fundal height plotted Maybe but they write the figure down in the fundal height column of my maternity book.

By the way waxing yesterday was incredibly painful, ouchie!!

SantaMaybe · 06/02/2014 09:07

Ah, that's good to know everyone. I've had a few people tell me it weird I've never had it plotted, but it's obviously not needed. I've either been measuring two weeks ahead, or bang on.

Poor you Pen it's miserable. I hope your physio helps today.

Glad you're feeling better Dino. Brooking that letter comes through ASAP.

I love a graph too Rubber Wink

Did you hear back from the organiser Musical?

Solars you're so nearly there!! I'm so excited for you lovely!!

musicalmrs · 06/02/2014 20:18

Hope the physio helped today Pen.

Maybe, yes I did! All was fine - we rescheduled it for a date in Sept (when, if all goes to plan, I'll be 36wks... potentially not the best point for such an important event, but nevermind!). Very relieved.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 07/02/2014 15:38

Pen, how did you get on with the physio? I'm booked into the physio class at the hospital next Thursday evening and I'm hoping they can give me a new tubigrip thingie. or work some incredible realigning magic and fix me for good

Maybe, the consultant plotted my fundal height on a graph but I don't think the MW did when I was MW led in my first pg.

Ouch at the waxing, Solars! I'm sticking to shaving just enough to go swimming without embarrassment.

Hope everyone is feeling well atm and bursting with energy...Grin

I saw the Lovely MW on Wed and got to listen to the baby's hb, hurray! Was odd - M was there and I was busily going to her 'what's that? Can you hear that?' and it meant I didn't worry at all. This is strange but good! Lovely MW says that I should have had a consultant appt by now and she was going to go chase it up. She said it should have been around the 16 week mark but I'm 16+2 and no letter has arrived.

Oooh, Stacks, is your scan today? Good luck! Can't wait to hear what sex MiniStacks is!

ThedementedPenguin · 08/02/2014 09:45

Too it was really good. Got a support belt for walking, etc and I've noticed I'm not as sore. It seems to pull all in together and back in place to help with walking. Also learnt loads of ways to ease pain and how to roll over in bed.

32 weeks today Smile can't believe how quick it's going.

So Dp is going away today so I think I'm going shopping and will make him refund me Grin

What's everyone's plans today?
