Ladies I think we need a new festive thread to take us through to the end of the year. And as it will be me to sneeze next –how did it get around to my turn so quickly???-- I thought I would do the honours.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 27/11/2013 09:58

Oh Sweetie. You're almost there

How'd the appointment go Pen?

Not long now Trix!! Hope all goes well with the HV.

How are you Boo?

Glad you had a good weekend Solars!

So nice to put a face to a name Bumpie!!

How's the spotting Too?

How are you doing lovely Keep? I bet you coped amazingly yesterday. Did MrK miss S? Bet he could t wait to see her!

ThedementedPenguin · 27/11/2013 10:21

Well as expected, doctor says at this point there's nothing they can do. Not severe enough to be referred to physio. Paracetamol and take it easy.

Ds' rash is some form of herpes he reckons. Says there's nothing to put on it. Keep it clean and moisturise it regularly but it will go away eventually.

sweetie not long left. I really hope something happens for you soon. It's awful when you mentally reach the end but it doesn't actually end. Last time with ds' I got so fed up of pregnancy I stopped talking about it, just needed my mind taken off it.

Have you any plans made to help pass the day?

maybe how are you feeling? Have you started to wean yourself off drugs?

Scan day again. Fingers crossed everything okay and I can find out the sex.

keepitgoing · 27/11/2013 11:03

Poor sweetie. But the longer they stay in the better... Just rest up.

I coped yesterday. Pour dh was on long days so didn't even get in until 10pm. He's missing her like crazy. My mum has come for a couple of days, as his 13 hour shifts are v long.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 27/11/2013 11:20

Oh Keep. You're doing great. I'm dreading MrM when he goes back to his shifts. He is out for 13 hours at a time too. Am dreading the night shifts!

Poor DS Pen. Make sure you mention your pains to the MW. I think they seem to have more of an idea sometimes. At least she may refer you for physio. Good luck with the scan! Uncross those legs baby!

cartoontrickster · 27/11/2013 11:33

good luck pen hope you do find out the sex this time.
hv went ok, didn't have much to say for herself this time. just about safe sleeping and tummy time.
my dh works normal office hours but his journey adds about 3hrs to his day so is out of the house for about 12hrs. he leaves at half 5 and goes to his mums for a bit before work. its annoying but if he left later there would be so much more traffic and he'd probably end up being late. I'm already dreading him going back to work once the babies here. I'm so glad as well that my maturnity leaves starts at Xmas when he will have some time off too. its a long day to be on my own.
my skin is becoming itchy again, I guess its the cold weather.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 27/11/2013 13:41

happy birthday lovely Cake non alcoholic Wine hope you're having a lovely day xx

NoMaybeAboutIt · 27/11/2013 14:03

Thanks lovely Boo! Cake all round!!x

Solars · 27/11/2013 15:05

Happy Birthday lovely Maybe! are you doing anything nice today? Non-alcoholic Wine

Pen hope all goes well at the scan today! looking forward to your update. Your dr didn't seem very helpful perhaps a chat with your mw might be more fruitful.

Sweetie enjoy the quiet before the storm perhaps? Brooking it's not much longer for you now x

That's a long day for your DH Trix I'm lucky mine has a few half days and doesn't have to travel too far for work. I can't believe MrS is not going on his annual boys skiing trip just in case I go into labour early - I'll only be about 33 weeks, he is getting quite excited I think.

I had my first hypnobirthing class yesterday, it was quite enjoyable actually, it had a bit of yoga mixed in too. I've also got my echo cardiogram booked in tomorrow, I can't believe the appointment came so quickly. I'm pretty sure all is normal anyway but I guess it's good to get the murmur checked out. All ok otherwise well apart from coming down with a bit of a cold yesterday, terrible sore throat so I'm having a pj day today...looking forward to watching a festive movie on tv in a bit...

Hope everyone else is well!

SweetieTime · 27/11/2013 15:46

Maybe Happy Birthday - hope you are having loads of CakeCakeCakeCake

Pen hope Pingu was better positioned today and you get to find out if he is a she. Hope DS is ok with his rash too, poor little mite.

Solars good luck for the cardiogram tomorrow, it is good that they are checking it out.

Keep Trix & Maybe those are long days/nights for your DHs, it will be very tough when they goes back to work.

Trix Is your Mum nearby to come around to give you a hand? Not long to go until mat leave and you can get your feet up. Plenty of cream on the itchy bits, I use any I have lying about and find it eases the itching.

Bumpie heat bag down knickers sounds extreme but if it works then go for it. We have woodlands themed nursery too, we have an owl night light.

keep how long is your Mum staying for? That will be a real help for you.
I know the twins are better where they are for now but I am finding it very uncomfortable now. My bump is just so solid (full of babies obviously) I find it difficult to move about, sit, get up or turn body.

I just felt a bit down this morning. I had a lovely gentle day in town with my Mum yesterday. We did a bit of Christmas shopping and went for coffee - my Dad took us and collected us so no need to drive. Then today I just felt a bit flat with nothing much to do. I woke up really early and couldn't get comfy so couldn't get back to sleep. The whole day seemed to loom ahead of me. I have done some wrapping up and had a nap but nothing very exciting. At least tomorrow I have a reflexology appointment so that will be nice. Sorry to mope guys I know I am so lucky to have got this far with no issues.

ThedementedPenguin · 27/11/2013 15:50

Oh maybe happy birthday. I hope you have had a great day.

So scan went well, got better pictures however legs firmly shut so not able to find out. So will maybe book a private scan after Christmas but for now we shall wait.

I don't think midwife will be any good as she told me to go to doctor as there was nothing she could do. But useless but I'm not too bothered as it's easy managed at the minute I think. If it gets worse I'll go back down and see someone else.

How's everyone else?

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 27/11/2013 15:58

{{{{{Hugs}}}}} Sweetie you're allowed to feel fed up, just because you have had a good pregnancy doesn't mean this last bit isn't bloody hard work and would make the best of us feel down! Add on the fact you're growing 2 whole people in there too I think you're rather marvelous!

cartoontrickster · 27/11/2013 16:36

happy birthday maybe
solars I think its quite sweet of your dh to miss his annual trip just incase.
sweetie I'm not surprised your fed up I've been getting uncomfortable so I dread to think what its like for you. moan as much as you like.
yes my mum is close by so I won't be totally alone I'm sure she'll help if needed. it must be so hard for the dads too leaving the mums and babies.
sweetie are you on instagram? or are any other brookers so I can be nosey with out rejoining fb
I got myself all upset earlier as I heard that one of the ladies I go to ante natal and yoga with had her baby on Sunday. she can't have been more than 35/36wks. I'm sure they are both fine but I don't know I think I was shocked, worried for them but also perhaps a bit for myself if I have the baby early.made it a very real thought if that makes sense.
I'm going to pack my hospital bag at the weekend, need to stock up on maturnity pads but I think I have most things I will need anyway.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 27/11/2013 16:40

Oh Trix don't worry, 35 weeks is not ideal but better than much earlier! I'm on instagram, I think I'm following you, look through Sparks list if not, I'm on there. If you (or anyone) wants us to check nosey your hospital bag lists we will!

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 27/11/2013 16:54

Please hold my hand. I'm bleeding a bit. Not much, but proper red blood. On bus to meet DH.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 27/11/2013 16:58

I'm here Too holding your hand and sitting with you. When is your scan? Xx

TimeAndRubberBulletsInSpace · 27/11/2013 17:04
TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 27/11/2013 17:17

Not til after Christmas. I'm still on the bus - when I get to DH i think I'll see if I can get an early scan. I don't even have notes yet. We need to pick M up from nursery in the next 45 mins, but I don't want to take her to the EPU. Don't really know what to do. Go home and hope for the best? Try to get a scan tomorrow? I'm only 7 weeks. We did DTD yesterday - could that cause this?

TimeAndRubberBulletsInSpace · 27/11/2013 17:20

DTD can make you bleed

Stacks · 27/11/2013 17:30

Oh too there's no hands left so I'll hold a foot. Have you called the epu to get a scan? When I phoned them to get an early scan they said I only needed to call if I had bleeding which was heavy, or lasted for more than 48hrs. I know I'd be worried at any bleeding at all, but it does imply that small bleeds of less than 48hrs are ok. Hope you get to your DH soon for a big hug.

cartoontrickster · 27/11/2013 17:31

too my love. dtd can absolutely cause a bleed. but honestly I would go see if you can be scanned not because I think something I'd wrong but because its better than just sitting and panicing. can someone else pick up dd?
yup boo we are following eachother.

SweetieTime · 27/11/2013 18:02

Too here for hand holding. I agree with the others about ringing the EPU to see about a scan tomorrow. Try to take it easy tonight. Think bleeding is really common in the early days and dtd can lead to spotting as the cervix is changing ib the early weeks. This is what we were told by our ivf clinic.
