I'm amazed at everyone of you that is cooking, I've hardly cooked anything since the BFP. I can chopped, just about but anything that involves stirring - no chance.

AuntPittypat · 08/11/2013 21:41

Cheesy, the only symptom I still seem to have is horrendous skin! It's horrible, I've never been so spotty in all my life, and yet I still have dry patches too. Am going to pop into a Lush shop this weekend to see if they can recommend something. Am not always a fan of Lush stuff but I think something natural might be better for it than something chemical.

Oh, and the fact that I can no longer fit into my jeans! These past two days I've actually been in maternity jeans - so comfortable, but maternity clothes at less than 10 weeks is a bit embarrassing!

wispaxmas · 08/11/2013 22:05

Aunt, I ordered some under bump maternity jeans today from the gap, even though mine aren't really tight yet, I just want the added comfort of knowing that if they did start to get tight in the next few weeks that I would have the comfort of maternity jeans! Also, they had a 25% off all full priced items offer going, so I thought why not?

I didn't update after my booking in this morning. It was quick and easy, done by a student midwife who was very nice. They went through everything with me, and I've been signed off as low risk, yay! They considered referring me because of asthma, but decided against it as I've not had any problems so far. They asked about preference of where to give birth, but ignored me when I said I wanted to have all pain relief options available should I want them and wrote down in the book that I should go to the midwife-led oasis birth centre..

And joy of joys, I appear to be coming down with a cold. My nose is running like a faucet, and as a result my throat is starting to hurt. We have a wedding in Essex tomorrow to go to, though, and being preggo would make me tired enough, but now potentially ill as well? God help me, I'm going to be a miserable cow!

Emmazers · 08/11/2013 22:05

I can't cook at the moment either Gin. I've felt particularly wretched all day today. I've had a headache for about 24 hrs now Confused

hackneybird · 08/11/2013 22:11

Aunt I have given in and bought some maternity jeans. Can't find the ones I wore last time. Wearing normal jeans makes me feel really nauseous.

Very much hoping I'm not tempting fate.......

seatfor5 · 08/11/2013 22:33

Has anyone read about the Ramzi test here so many of us have had early scans thought it would be fun to guess :)

seatfor5 · 08/11/2013 22:39

Looks like another boy for me!

CleverOl10 · 08/11/2013 22:48

Not given in to maternity trousers yet (although been wearing lots of skirts with stretchy waistbands! ) but have bought a couple of maternity tops as they are still quite fitted but come down longer making me less conscious of my middle! Grin

cheesysmile · 08/11/2013 23:55

Thanks Gilly and Aunt. I was worried I seemed to be the only one not feeling sick all day. Not that I want to be sick obviously and it must be horrid for those that are, but just worried I wasn't if that makes sense Hmm

My trousers are tight too but thinking its probably more from all the food I've been eating, don't think I cam blame the bean for my hips Grin

Liquidambar · 09/11/2013 01:23

grrrr.... can't sleep. I've been eating rich tea (with butter [no comment] ) all night.
seat thanks for the link. Looks like another boy for me too Wink

Penguin13 · 09/11/2013 08:26

Cheesy I have definitely noticed my symptoms lessening from about 9 weeks onwards. It's hard to be grateful for feeling good when you're worrying if it means something is wrong isn't it but apparently it's quite common for symptoms to lessen around this time so enjoy Smile

cheesysmile · 09/11/2013 08:42

Thanks penguin thats good to know!

Vickyvix · 09/11/2013 09:54

Just catching up, great news on the scan jaykay :)

I have given in and bought some maternity jeans, I am still so bloated, they are sooooo comfy!

MarlenaGru · 09/11/2013 10:08

I have discovered stretchy boyfriend jeans. Very unflattering but at £10 they will do until I can keep maternity jeans on... And hopefully in June when nothing else fits!

Snowlet · 09/11/2013 10:09

Wifeof that's exactly what I've decided too, first trimester is for attempting to stand upright, keep food down and form coherent thoughts (ha!) and second trimester I'll try to get back into a routine until I can't anymore.... impressed with what you're doing already though, well done!

Congrats on the scans ladies who had them, and the bleeding, I had exactly the same, at 8+2, and reckon it was late implantation or something placenta-related or whatever, as long as it wasn't dangerous, but it does give you a scare doesn't it?

cheesy I'm 10 weeks on Tuesday and my nausea has definitely lessened, so don't be too worried.... been replaced with such awful fatigue though!

Anyone else feeling near-constant stretching? Sometimes if I am lying in the wrong position and I cough, it really hurts!

CleverOl10 · 09/11/2013 10:26

Feeling so lazy today. Still in bed Blush DH at work and DS watching a film. Feel bad mother syndrome but decided to blame my new child! Really have to find some energy from somewhere to start the day.

Yes snowlet I can feel stretching too. Feels weird!

Am also still in bed, except this is the first day I've had breakfast as DH is here to make it for me. He is going out for the rest of the day and evening though Sad

Got a bit upset yesterday as I looked like I had a bump - which would be fine except I am only 6+6 and it most definitely isn't - probably just bloating! Have ordered two sleep bras and a maternity bra though as it is so uncomfortable to sleep.

Have a good day everyone!

Was in London for work & feeling a bit sick on train. A heavily pregnant lady with a baby on board badge got on the tube & I hoped someone would give her a seat (I remember what it was like being heavily pregnant & even 2 mins standing was horrible when it was me) - I looked around - people had definitely noticed her but no one was going to move - so as noone else was going to - I gave her my seat. People really are quite selfish some times!!
Rant over :)
