I was doing fine with the nausea until yesterday morning - had a slightly raised temperature Wednesday and was getting a sore throat so made some lovely chicken soup. All was well.

Had the rest of the chicken soup yesterday and boy did come back up. Nausea back in full swing and I slept the rest of the day. Today I have just crawled out of bed after snoozing all morning - DH came home on his lunch break and we shared a bag of crisps, not healthy but guaranteed to stay down. Blergh.

Liquidambar · 08/11/2013 15:01

On the food front I have been having Miso soup. It is warm and salty and keeps me going for another hour or so.

ohcluttergotme · 08/11/2013 15:04

Oh thank God, not just me eating all day long! Feel like such a Miss Piggy, keep going through to the kitchen to open fridge, freezer, cupboards to see what I fancy!
Grin At baked potato eat/barf/eat!

Lmf679 · 08/11/2013 15:35

am so glad it's not only me eating so much! I've just had my second lunch of the day...

Mitchell2 · 08/11/2013 15:51

I was ravenous the last few weeks but now gone off food except specific cravings. Last night the only thing I could face was a packet of Wotsits. I never eat Wotsits and actually think that I have only ever had them once before (I'm not a British native).

jaykay987 · 08/11/2013 16:03

so scan was good. all positive.

but I'm only 5w + 6. so edd has moved to 5th July. I'll still hang around this thread though if you don't mind! Grin

they found a heartbeat and I have a little picture - so I'm happy with that!

Mitchell2 · 08/11/2013 16:06

Hurrah jaykay very happy for you.

hackneybird · 08/11/2013 17:17

I have also been easting embarrassingly large amounts - another central London worker here (W1) so also spending a ton of money. So far I have eaten today:

Toast and marmite, toast and jam at about 8.30
Smoked Salmon & Egg baguette from Pret at about 10.20
Grilled lamb chop with spinach, steamed veg and roasted new potatoes at 1245
Banana, satsuma and 2 digestive biscuits at 4pm

And I'm going home in a minute to have slag bol!!!!

CleverOl10 · 08/11/2013 17:30

Great to hear Jay!

BTW wotsits are totally my pregnancy crisp of choice! Actually shop's own brand ones are even better! Last pregnancy it was any prawn cocktail crisps. Obviously this baby prefers cheeae to fish!

jaykay987 · 08/11/2013 17:40

Ooh...lI really fancy a bag of quavers. Hmmm........

MarlenaGru · 08/11/2013 17:42

Lol I am clutching an empty wotsits packet on the train! Always need something on the train home. I had the most mahoosive lunch (half a Nandos chicken and chips Blush and am counting the minutes to dinner. I ate virtually nothing in the first trimester last time and still put on 10kg. I dread to think what I will look like in June!

Great news jaykay I am amazed how we both had weird pregnancy tests (positive really late) and both are dating a week behind LMP. I must admit it is quite a relief knowing it isn't just me!

WifeofGru · 08/11/2013 17:43

Glad all OK with appointments and scans.
jaykay always love an ice cold beer in pregnancy. Used to drink Becks Blue quite a lot last time around and have been having sips of DHs beer this time.
Had a bagel with cream cheese and bacon this morning. It was great. Doesn't keep the sickness away for long though.
snowlet I usually run twice and week and do a metafit session. Tried doing an online workout last Friday night and was in so much pain for 2 days afterwards. Was also terrified I'd overdone it. have decided to wait til nausea passes and then start brisk walking/jogging again in second trimester.

NessieMcFessie · 08/11/2013 17:49

Oh hackney I am so jealous! I have just emptied out the kitchen looking for the marmite that I thought I had brought back from the UK - but I can't find it Sad....only marmite will do!

BEEwitched · 08/11/2013 17:55

Ooh, WifeofGru, Becks Blue is amazing - I normally stay away from Becks, my dad used to be a brewer and I come from an area of loads of small local breweries so it's not 'done' but it so hits the spot!

jaykay987 · 08/11/2013 18:01

Wife - weird isn't it? Yes - I have becks blue. Treat myself to one a night! Grin

Marlena - Im actually dating 11days behind my lmp. Not surprising as I have long cycles. I thought I had ov'd on cd19 - but looking at my temps I could have ov'd cd24 - so late! Today's revised dates mean implantation happened three days later - cd27. Which doesn't seem unrealistic. No wonder I didn't get a BFP until late though,

Weirdly...my biggest initial symptom...feverish head - which still comes and goes - started the day after I ovulated. They say symptoms can't start until implantation.....but my body thinks otherwise! Im sure it was a symptom as it was a very distinctive sensation Ive not had before.

All this talk of food is backing me hungry. Im off chicken, but craving something crunchy and flavoursome. I have some chicken kievs in the freezer...not sure if my need for crunch and flavour will overcome my current dislike of chicken......Shock

carrie105 · 08/11/2013 18:05

I'm going to have to cook dinner early now after all this talk of food!
I'm going to make a garlic, spinach and mozzarella pasta. oooooooo so excited! Off to the kitchen!

MTMD · 08/11/2013 18:34

I just had a massive go at DH who suggested jacket potato for dinner. I hate jacket potatoes but I don't think I've ever told the poor guy. I went on and on about his lack of imagination as far as dinners are concerned blah blah blah...grumpy wife alert!! Was very apologetic 10 min later Blush

Ended up fishing smth from the fridge. This mad eating is ridiculous, I might have an early night just to avoid eating my weight in something. All this and I'm still feeling slightly nauseous..

BEEwitched · 08/11/2013 18:36

DH worked late and is now bringing home KFC - hardly brilliant but half of my kitchen things and have the food are already down at the new house...

LadyGoneGaga · 08/11/2013 18:39

I had chicken kiev for tea last night. I feel beige food is going to rate high on my menu for a while. It was lovely with potato wedges and peas!

I've been eating RS Hula Hoops of late.

We're having pizza tonight. Feeling so sick every second I'm not actually eating.

NessieMcFessie · 08/11/2013 18:42

I've had 2 bags of mini cheddars for tea Blush

cheesysmile · 08/11/2013 19:17

Glad the doc could reassure you nosey and congrats on the scan jay.

I'm eating alot at the moment as well and unfortunately have done zero exercise. Have decided to just not worry abt it too much for now and try to do more exercise in 2nd trimester.

Other than my cold and feeling rubbish coz of that and feeling hungry I don't feel I have many pregnancy symptoms at the moment. Is anyone else finding symptoms going a bit? Im 10 wks tomorrow I think, according to my dates. Im worried maybe something has gone wrong ... am I over thinking this?

GillyBillyWilly · 08/11/2013 20:46

I feel like my symptoms are starting to pass too.... Well... Touch wood!

Obviously it concerns me slightly and I hope everything is still ok but it's nice that the sickness isn't as bad!!!

I have a bit of a cold at the moment though and I feel really tired all the time! Been asleep by 8.30 most nights this week! Grin

OP posts:
superlambanana · 08/11/2013 20:52

DH brought me an M&S moussaka which usually I'd love. Now trying bot to move as I don't want to see it again.

It's like I've got ridiculously over sensitive motion sickness!!

MarlenaGru · 08/11/2013 20:56

Exactly super DD was so tired this evening she couldn't sit still so I was trying not to be sick whilst she bounced all over the room. Feel fine if I am dead still mostly.

Emmazers · 08/11/2013 21:00

BEE my mum works for a small Somerset brewery, so I'm usually an ale drinker too Smile

I ordered a selection box of beer from the Alcohol-free Shop but most of them were a bit rubbish and I can't stomach any of them right now, so I'm sticking to the Lucozade.
