We're getting so busy in here!! I know this isn't strictly related to pregnancy, but we put our flat on the market last Friday and we've just received 3 offers at the asking price, so we're going back to them to say that we have multiple offers of the same amount, they're welcome to increase their offer if they would like to, and we will be accepting the highest offer Monday at 4pm! I'm so excited!! Our current flat is not ideal for a newborn..

I've told 2 close friends and my sister. My sister and one friend are pregnant as well, and my other friend is ttc, so we were sort of ttc together iyswim. Haven't told anyone else, though, and we will definitely wait until we have a scan. 7+1 today :)

Cheesy I feel the same hence not posting much.... Want the time to fly and hoping for the best but always thinking of the worst as well.... Just in case....
I'm 6+2 today.
Booking in appt next Wednesday and scan on 20th nov. Waiting game!!!!

SicknSpan · 16/10/2013 20:43

Hello Wife, RaRa, Gas and Nosey

RaRa your name reminded me of cbeebies - thought that was behind us but guess in a couple of years time it will be all too familiar again!

My sickness has eased a little with the drugs from my Dr. However I have still chundered about 10 times today so not sure how I'm supposed to to go back to work. Will attempt a couple of hours, not looking forward to the commute though. Yuk.

cheesysmile · 16/10/2013 20:52

Gilly that's exactly it ... my booking in appt is next Thursday but I don't have a scan date yet, hoping the midwife will let me know how it all works next week ... at least that will feel like a step forward.

SicknSpan · 16/10/2013 20:59

wispa the house news is really exciting! You will have massive opportunities for nesting in a new place :) Have you found another place yet? Sorry if you have already said and I missed it.

We've had to tell loads of people because I have been so sick. Lots of social appointments cancelled, unusual things going on etc. Our whole families and a few close friends, basically the people who we'd count on if things went wrong. Just don't want want the school gate gossips getting hold of the news, "ooh you'll never guess who's gone and got up the pole!" "She hasn't?!"
"She bloody well has, and at her age too! She can barely cope with the two she's got, I've heard that their swimming money is always late and last week she even forgot to send something in for the harvest festival." "Tut"

Am I getting a bit hysterical? It's that preggo rage already!

wispaxmas · 16/10/2013 21:14

Ant is going to view a few places Friday/Saturday, and if he really likes any of them, I will view them next week when I'm back from my crown/scan next Friday.

I can't wait to nest Grin

Clever dh loved your idea of t-shirt to let parents know. I've bought my ds a t-shirt tonight off eBay with a superhero saying "I'm going to be a big brother!"
We're going to tell our parents on Friday, we were going to wait longer but I have no patience (Aries!)
Part of me feels we should be waiting but we're just going to tell our teenage dd and parents Smile

ohcluttergotme · 16/10/2013 21:19

Wispa that's fab news Grin

seatfor5 · 16/10/2013 21:22

Sick your kids must go to the same school as mine lol Grin

I too have been getting horrid headaches, I suffer from migraines also and it sucks I cant take my meds!

MTMD · 16/10/2013 21:25

Sick you made me laugh!

wispa thats fab! Great time to be selling houses at the moment! We got ours last year, not a minute too early considering current property madness!

I'm 5+2 and seem to be developing evening sickness.. Part of me is happy, but another isn't too impressed. Headache kicking off too! Probably bed time for me :)

Liquidambar · 16/10/2013 21:27

wispax exciting times Smile good luck

sickn Grin your school gate gossip made me laugh!!

VickyVix · 16/10/2013 21:30

wispa that's great news!! Just think of all the nesting you can do in your new home :)

I think I may have had some symptoms this evening, have only had tiredness and headaches up to now, but when I had my dinner this evening it all tasted yuck and I almost vommed when I are a tomato (actually making me feel sicky thinking about the tomato) ......and I love tomatoes!

Have booked in GP appointment for next Friday........roll on next week, actually roll on the next 7 weeks!

MTMD · 16/10/2013 21:41

I cannot think about roast chicken or anything slightly fatty/greesy. Straight to nausea land!

My Gp didn't do anything. Just gave me some info sheets. It wasn't the main purpose of my app but still strange that I'll be getting free prescriptions without anyone even confirming my pregnancy?

PJen · 16/10/2013 22:09

Welcome to all new June mummy-to-bes! wow what a fast moving thread this has become. Who knew that September was such a popular time for making babies Grin

wispa good luck!! Did you actually sell it? Good luck with house hunting!

clutter that t-shirt sounds too cute!! we already told my in laws and my parents. It was my MIL's bday and we put two buns in the oven and told my mother-in-law that her birthday gift is in the oven. We hid one bun behind the other. So when we opened it took her a minute or two to register. Then she noticed the second bun so there was a lot of excitement and screaming going around. Unfortunately we had to dampen their excitement by saying that the Dr has quoted that there is 60% chance that I will be miscarrying due to my issues and asked them for prayers. Never the less, I think she will not forget this bday gift for a while. Grin Besides, even if god forbid we miscarry, I wanted to tell these people as I need their support when I am crushed under the pain. Hope not.

Hello to everyone else!! Can't find time to answer to everyone as there are so many of us here Grin

typhoonsmum · 16/10/2013 22:17

Why am I getting morning sickness at night. Tried to hide in bedroom when dd(10yr) comes in and asks why I had to go to doctors this morning. That girl is too clever for her own good. Never mind being a vet/fashion designer when she is older she should be looking at the CIA. Honestly I felt like I was in the Haribo advert...." Sign the fession"

ohcluttergotme · 16/10/2013 22:23

PJen what a lovely way to let your parents and in-laws know Smile I really hope both your little beans stick well for you. Agree though that should something bad happen I would still want my parents and in-laws to know. Hope that all the JuneBugs are posting their babies names in 8 months x

Simpat · 16/10/2013 22:37

Nervously joining today, got a bfp this morning. Having had a mc before I'm extremely nervous but I'm sure it's commonly felt. Due date is 27 June. Got my fingers crossed for myself and everyone else on this thread.

CleverOl10 · 16/10/2013 22:39

Welcome simpat. Congrats on your bfp.

wispaxmas · 16/10/2013 22:47

MTMD, you're getting free prescriptions already? I asked my GP for the forms, but he said they don't hand them out until 24 weeks! Should I get it from the midwife when I book in instead? Seems unfair that free prescriptions for pregnant women only takes effect over halfway through Sad

And thanks everyone, we are super excited about moving. We haven't accepted an offer yet, but should do on Monday.

PJen, I love the bun in the over story! I think we will end up telling my mum on skype, even though our original pan was to hold out until her birthday when we go back to Canada. Maybe I could take a photos of a bun in he oven... Hmm.. Haha, sorry, I'll stop trying to steal your reveal Grin

Congratulations simpat!

wispa thank you for adding my dates, and congratulations on the sale. Fingers crossed you find somewhere fab to move to.

We have just moved into a house that needs quite a lot of work, which is proving to be a bit much given my constant exhaustion and the fact DH and only have 1 day off together in the whole of October :-( it will be worth it though. Just didn't expect to get pregnant so quickly!

Very glad to hear other second timers say they feel bloated-I've got some stretchy skirts out already Blush . I have lost 2.5 stone this year and currently feel as if it's all gone back on in 5 weeks!

PJen I love that story! Have everything crossed for you, and totally agree about telling people you would want support from should anything go wrong. We've told my parents, my brother and my boss - she guessed!

VickyVix · 16/10/2013 23:46

Hi simpat welcome to the June club, congrats on your BFP!! :)

I'm v nervous too, mainly because I've never done this and I don't have a clue how it all works, just scared something bad will happen.

Here's to us all having healthy and happy pregnancies

MTMD · 17/10/2013 06:52

Morning all!

wispa well I don't really know how it's going to work.. I got given a prescription for high dose folic acid (among others) and so she also told me to do the form for free meds. Maybe it will takes ages to go through??? Receptionist did roll her eyes a little when she saw it..

NessieMcFessie · 17/10/2013 07:50

wispa - that is very exciting! We are trying to buy a house too at the moment - we have had 4 offers rejected - including the asking price! And the house has been on the market for 4 years! They really don't want to sell!

PJen great bun in the oven story! Fingers crossed for your two little buns!

PJen · 17/10/2013 08:22

wispa feel free to do the bun in the oven story. I haven't patented it!!! Ha ha. :)

It is 3 AM here and I can't sleep. I go through waking up at odd hours every single night. Last night I couldn't fall back sleep till 6 am and then my alarm went off at 6:45. Very very annoying. It is a pregnancy related issue as I wake up to go to loo. Any tips on how to get rid of this one??

MTMD when expecting DC1 I was living in UK and started free prescription card after my early 6 weeks scan. There is nothing wrong with starting early. I got my free NHS dental plan at the same time. Enjoy. We don't have the free prescription here.

Welcome simpat!!! Being nervous is part of motherhood and is normal.

Okay I will try to sleep a bit more now :)

TinyTear · 17/10/2013 08:35

Love the bun in the over idea! but we will have to tell parents on the phone or google talk as they are in Pt and Scotland...

Great news on the flat Wispa! woohoo. took me ages to sell mine a few years ago, but that was because no one wanted one bed flats...
