Sorry. That's me out. Started to miscarry this morning.

Please take me off the list.

Good luck with your pregnancies. May they all be sticky!

TinyTear · 17/10/2013 08:46

So sorry tanny. best of luck for the future

PJen · 17/10/2013 08:56

So sorry to see you go through this Tanny :( miscarriage is so unfair!!!

Emmazers · 17/10/2013 09:11

Hello everyone! Smile

My name is Emmazers and I'm a preg- test-aholic! I had my BFP on Sunday and keep doing tests as I can't believe it. This is my second pregnancy and I fell straight away with my first and this has taken months, so very chuffed.

I was a mumsnet regular back when I was pregnant with DD1 who was born Dec 10 but been a bit out of the loop since then.

Looking forward to sharing and hearing stories :)

Emmazers x

Emmazers · 17/10/2013 09:13

Oh and my due date is 25th June :)

MTMD · 17/10/2013 09:28

So sorry tanny..

Welcome Emma

I have a question for experienced mums - is it too early to go bra shopping? My breast don't fit into my normal bras and they hurt like hell. The shape has changed, even the nipples are different now Blush But is it a waste of money to buy something bigger now? Too early? Too many changes ahead..? Any other bra related tips?

mumof5plusazoo · 17/10/2013 09:32

I'm sorry tanny...

Wispa that's great news about your flat.

Welcome Emma

ohcluttergotme · 17/10/2013 09:44

So sorry Tanny.
My good friend has been trying to conceive for the last 2 years same as me and she went down private IVF route. She text me yesterday to tell me that it hadn't worked. I'm so sad for her and feel sad to think how she'll feel when I tell her I am Hmm
MTMD don't think it's too early for mat bra if the ones you are wearing are hurting. In the past I've bought maternity bras that you can expand as you get bigger, do remember they were wrecked by term!
The getting up for the loo a million times is unfortunately very pregnancy related and sorry to say it only gets worse and in my experience I don't think my bladder has ever fully recovered Shock

Bezzabelle · 17/10/2013 09:48

MTMD I was told with first pregnancy to avoid bras with underwire in them as can damage milk ducts??? Not sure if any truth in this but being green, I did what I was told. Currently I'm living in pjs as so sick so not wearing any bras but may get old nursing bras out the cupboard again soon as they were pretty comfy.

Tanny- so so sorry, good luck for future.

Bezzabelle · 17/10/2013 09:52

Ohclutter- have this with my brother- they have been through 4 rounds of ivf, only one resulted in pregnancy and then were told at 8 weeks, it wasn't viable. So so hard as when pregnant with ds, was asked not to talk about baby stuff in front of his oh even in late stage of pregnancy. Dreading telling them about this one, any advice??

TinyTear · 17/10/2013 09:59

MTMD, get some maternity / nursing bras... something non wired and so soft... also, i used to put cotton pads in the nipple area to help with preventing chafing

Emmazers · 17/10/2013 10:11

Underwired bras in pregnancy are fine if they are exactly the right size, therefore not digging into the milk ducts, which can indeed contribute to blocked milk ducts and mastitis. However as your breasts continually change and grow throughout pregnancy this is probably both impractical and expensive!

Did anyone else see that article recently about how wearing bras actually makes your boobs sag because the supporting musculature doesn't develop properly?

Personally I shall be wearing nice comfy sports bras with plenty of room to grow :)

LadyGoneGaga · 17/10/2013 10:21

So sorry, TannyLoo. Sad I really hate this early pregnancy game, it's so agonising until you pass the magic 12 weeks. I hope you get a stcicky one soon.

Can I join, please? I got my BFP yesterday and think I am due end of June 9around 27th?). This will be my 3rd DC so slightly apprehensive as well as excited. I am 35, have DS (5 yrs 5 months) and DD (2 years and 3 months). Also a bit nervous as had a mc between DS and DD so not counting my chickens just yet but I suspected I was pg very early due to uber-sore boobs, dizzy spells, odd taste in mouth and cramping, all good signs. I suppose this being my fourth pregnancy makes me an old hand at symptom spotting now!

I'm a competitive runner and although I didn't run in previous pregancies would like to carry on this time at least for a while as I tend to stack the weight on (5 stone!) and would really like to minimise this and keep more active. Anyone else a runner?

RaRa1988 · 17/10/2013 10:21

Sickandspan: CBeebies?? Sorry, you're going to have to explain! Confused It's my bf's nickname for me lol.

Wispa: So jealous! We've been struggling to get a mortgage to move out of our rented flat. We thought we were going to do it, but we can't get a deposit together Sad. Our flat is far from ideal n all, but too late now lol.

MTMD · 17/10/2013 10:36

Thanks everyone! I guess I'll be popping round to Debenhams or MS. I think I'm going to feel such a fraud picking out maternity bras.. Not even 6 weeks pg! Confused

ohcluttergotme · 17/10/2013 10:39

Welcome ladygone, I'm also 35 and due my third! We have a teenage dd and ds just turned 4. Smile

Cybercat · 17/10/2013 10:44

Oh Tanny Im so sorry.

Fab news on the house wispa

After last weeks drama I have another scan tomorrow. Please let this baby have grown.

TinyTear · 17/10/2013 10:45

Hello ladygonegaga
I am not a runner as such but do my local parkrun and did a 5 mile run this summer (in the olympic stadium hooray)

Due to previous mc history I stopped running now, but still volunteer at parkrun...

one of the women in my parkrun ran till she was 30 weeks or something and now came back just 5 weeks after having the baby. she just did her 100th parkrun.

RaRa you have to google RaaRaa the noisy lion Grin

Cybercat · 17/10/2013 10:45

and of course congrats to the new ladies x

LadyGoneGaga · 17/10/2013 11:12

hi Clutter - do you feel slightly mad too? I think we'll be fine but it's a little scary.

Tinytear i didn't run in previous pregnancies due to bleeding and mc worries. I may go that way this time but I feel I've achieved a lot this year and don't want to lose it all. Although the second I feel it's not right I will stop I think. My body may stop me anyway as had a bit of SPD last pregnancy. But I also had gestational Diabtets and want to try and prevent that as much as possible this time. I love Parkrun and would like to carry on but probably just jog round which will be hard for me (bit competitive)!

TinyTear · 17/10/2013 11:17

Lady I had GD in my previous pregnancy as well...

How about volunteering on your parkrun? you can be tail runner, so there is a good excuse to go slower.

I am slow anyway (PB is 33:02 minutes) so tail running wouldn't be much difference

ohcluttergotme · 17/10/2013 11:42

Lady I don't feel mad so much but worry other people will think I'm mad or judge me for having big gaps! I feel old and worry how I'll be in 15 years with a teenager Hmm but ultimately I feel really delighted as have been ttc for 2 years Smile

PJen · 17/10/2013 11:56

Bleeding started. With my history; I probably am out ladies. I was warned to not get happy too soon but with two years of trying and 4 mcs I thought I can have finally a break. Happy and healthy pregnancy for everyone.

wispaxmas · 17/10/2013 12:16

Tanny, I'm so so sorry. PJen, I'm crossing absolutely all fingers and toes it's just a light bleed and doesn't mean anything. My sister has had recurrent miscarriages, but she's now about 30 weeks, even though she bled early in this pregnancy and was told she was more than likely going to miscarry again. Sometimes a bleed isn't the end!
