Trinity1 - sounds like a great first birth :) Welcome to Trinity Savannah Spires (lovely name!)

Remember the 'alternative' remedies if you are struggling with the anaemia. I took floradix (think that's how it was spelt!) instead of the normal iron tablets, as these made me feel a bit sick and constipated after ds. You can get several more easily tolerated products from health food shops.

am still holding on, 9 days till my due date, loads of BH but nothing else....

RachelPross · 20/06/2006 08:30

Been up since 3.25 this morning when my contractions started, they're coming regularly now and are hurting like hell. Can't go in to hospital till they're 4 -5 mins apart apparently. Wish me luck!!

Laura032004 · 20/06/2006 08:51

Oooohhh how exciting Rachel! Hope everything goes to plan for you. Keep us updated! Good luck :) :) :) How far apart are they now?

Congrats Trinity. Good luck Rachel.

I gave birth to a DD (Ruby Alice) yesterday morning. Waters broke at midnight and gave birth at the birthing centre at just gone 4, she weighs 8lbs 3, impressive considering I was told she was a tiddler! DS suitably excited when he met his little sister this morning.

Sending good vibes to everyone still waiting their arrivals.

happybebe · 20/06/2006 10:29

WOW- loads of baby's arriving now.
lots of congratulations to everyone i have missed since ds was born.

mrsbabookaloo · 20/06/2006 22:31

Just a quick post to say that baby babookaloo - Louisa Beth, to be known as Lulu - was born last Tuesday, the 13th, at 8:58. As it says in my hospital notes: "8:57: knife to skin, 8:58: baby delivered". Yes, it ended up being an emergency caesarean, after a very long labour. Will post a birth story one day when I get time. She is just gorgeous, if I'm allowed to say that about my own baby, and I'm recovering well, but hoping to find some breastfeeding support on mumsnet - if I get time to log on again - as things are pretty up and down.

Big congratulations to everybody else who has their babies and good luck to all the others.

Congratulations MrsBabookaloo and welcome to Lulu

Elliot is a lovely name, surroundedbyboys: one of my favourites. Congrats.

Hello Ladies

Ryan Michael Wymer was born on Sunday 18th June (Fathers Day) at 3.15am, 12 days overdue, weighing in at 9lb 4!! We came home yesterday morning.

Essay ...
I had gone to bed on Fri 16th with backache after I had been for a long walk and woke up on Sat 17th feeling slightly worse, by 12 o'clock the pains started getting intense. We went to the hospital a few hours later and found out that the pains were more intense in my back because Ryan's back was against my back which meant that his head wasn't facing the correct way, he was also kicking me in the ribs on a regular basis.

I had a nice aroma bath for a couple of hours at the hospital and managed to go without pain relief until 6pm, I tried gas and air for 2 hours which wasn't doing much so at 8pm I had an epidural. This worked for about 30 mins then started being patchy so I was still feeling pain but just not all of it. After trying to push for a while, feeling all the pain, it became apparent that Ryan was stuck and his heart rate was fluctuating, they rushed us to theatre just encase a Cesarean was needed.

They tried suction cup, which came off but turned him enough so he could be delivered by forceps so my bikini line is still sort of in tact! We found out after that Ryan had pooed at the end because of the distress but he has been fine. Me and DH are also fine if not a little tired after his first night at home.

Congratulations Vbab and welcome Baby Ryan Michael Wymer
