bamboozleslover - Hope you've had an easier day today Make sure you stay well rested, and ignore any 'well-meant' comments!
sarahsbump - hope things get started for you soon
AdelaideS - love the idea of DH birthing ball! My birthing ball is a bit mad - it's covered in spikes. They're meant to be massaging - seemed a good idea at the time. In reality they're just too painful to sit on, so I have to cover it with a towel at all times!!!
trinity1 - Hope you're feeling a bit better now Is your mum staying with you, or just coming round? I was really scared to be left with DS at first. Nine days will pass very quickly, but that doesn't help at the time does it? Does he go away often? Make sure you've got lots of easy food in - nuts, bread, cheese, ready meals, fresh pasta and sauces. Anything that you can make quickly. And keep your fluid levels up - it can be hard to remember to eat and drink when you're by yourself.
Well, I'm hoping things have started here. I had a 'pop' in bed last night, and my waters have (I think) been leaking ever since. The MW has checked, and said there was lots of fluid 'up there' and that she couldn't feel the membranes, so I think they've gone. I've had quite a few bloody shows too, so hopefully things are gearing up. I've got 72hrs grace before they'll start hassling me about an induction (not ideal as I'm booked for a home birth at the moment). Fingers crossed that contractions start in earnest during the night. I'm having regular tightenings, but they're not getting remotely painful yet.
