I haven't found a Feb 2007 thread yet so thought I'd start one. Just found out I was pregnant on Monday so it is very early days still - but so exciting nonetheless. The due date calculators generally say I am due on 1 Feb, with on churning out 31 Jan and another 4 Feb. I thought it was more like 15 Feb but I will find our more at my first doctor's appointment on 15 June.

My stats:
me 28
dh 35
first baby
due 31/01 or 1/02 or 4/02 or 15/02 ???? (take your pick!)

Anyone want to join me?

Ha ha gender predictor says a girl. Off to feed the ducks with very aggravated daughter!

MaybeBaba · 16/08/2006 19:33

Evening - nothing much to report here - still waiting or nuchal scan test results - may be tomorrow (ino had to be sent to London or analysis - normal around here!)

I think we should be starting a new thread as we are all into or just about to go into the 2nd trimester - anyone agree??!!

Rubyandbeansmummy · 16/08/2006 20:48

Hi all esp new people! Sorry I have been away for ages - my computer had a wobbly (not great when in last stages of Masters Dissertation...cue hormonal panic attack!) Finally got scan tomorrow so everything crossed for a straightforward time. Anyway love to all and beanies x

biggerbytheminute · 17/08/2006 11:15

Flowertot - hope things are progressing, full of admiration for your strength.

Babycheese - I too think I may have consumed my body weight in oranges in the past week.

Noah, what does that get shortened to? I like Alex as a girls name. Need help to gently dissuade dp from Ajax for a boy. Gulp. Imagine calling that in the park. Is it still available as a toilet cleaner?

CurrantBun · 17/08/2006 11:37

Ajax??? OMG!!! You definitely have to knock that one on the head, BiggerByTheMinute! (Apologies to all the little Ajaxes out there ...)

Not sure if it's still available as a cleaner but there will still be plenty of people who remember it.

I like Alex for a boy, although we're pretty uninspired when it comes to boys' names thus far. They're mostly either too conventional/boring, or too offbeat and possible later p*ss-take fodder. I just keep thinking that I'll somehow "know" when I find the right name.

Scan tomorrow - getting nervous now, but excited too.

Quite like the idea of a new thread as we enter our second trimester. Has anyone else found the first one has really dragged? It seems about a million years ago that I peed on that stick, yet in reality it's only about 7 weeks. I've been told that the second trimester usually passes much more quickly (typical as that's the one where most women feel their best) then drags again for the third, when you're huge and uncomfortable and just desperate to have the baby!

I am just dismayed by the thought of 6 flipping months to go!!!! Am consoling myself with the fact that we hope to move in October, am 30 in November, Christmas and then downhill from there on in!! I actually want to get bigger - I just look like a pie eater at the moment.

I'm not sure what you'd shorten Noah to, "No". Could get complicated when telling off! "NO, No!" Oh well. Today's favourite girl's name is Niamh. We have a lot of Irish heritage on both sides, though my dad is english and isn't over keen on the celtic names. I really want everyone to love our child's name as much as we do, although I know it's our choice. I love Niamh, though the poor girl will spend her life spelling it or correcting pronunciation!!

As for Ajax, that is funny - he could be Ajax Jif....or would that be Cif? What about AJ? That's quite cute! My husband had a worrying conversation with a mate regarding boys names. I moved away when they were quite seriously discussing "Yoda" and "Jabba". Hmmmmm......men

So, who's going to start us a new thread? I would, only I can't think what to call it - all wit has left my pg frazzled brain!

CurrantBun · 17/08/2006 13:24

I will - it's going to be called "Due February 2007 - 2nd Trimester".

See you all there ...

wickymum · 18/08/2006 11:45

Hi all

Babycheese, things have not been too bad with my daugter. She is 2 half going on 6 I think. She pats my back sometimes when I have my head over the toilet and hands me the sick bowl when I am led on the sofa. Lucky for me she gets alot of stimulation at nursery in the mornings and so she does not mind playing on her own or watching tv in the afternoon.

Thank goodness its the school holidays and all playgroups have stopped. she would have missed out there otherwise.

I had a morning of dizzyness yesterday. Has anyone else been feeling dizzy - very scary.

Anyway, see you all on new thread.

Hello everyone and welcome to those I haven't "met" yet.

I've been away on a rather stressful camping holiday with my family and my parents. My stomach has been in knots all the time with the worry of everyone getting on ok and things didn't kick off into an argument until th last morning but I'm more than just a little bit pleased to be home again, I can tell you!.

I am now 15 + 4 and looking a lot bigger. None of my trousers fit me now apart from the big baggy tracksuit bottoms I wore when pg last time. I haven't had any bigger trousers with me to I've had to undoo zips and buttons everytie I sit down to be able to breathe all holiday - and of course forgetting to do them up again when I stand up again . Been caught out a few times. I was convinced that I had put on loads of weight over the holiday but I am a few pounds lighter than when I went! At my size, that's no bad thing!

I haven't had a chance to read all the posts since I went away in depth but has anyone else (probably 2nd or 3rd time mums) felt baby moving yet? I felt it a fair bit over the last week or so. It's been very reasurring.
I had a midwife appt just before I went away too and heard the babies heartbeat (eventually - the wriggler kept kicking the doppler away!).

So snorkycake, are we the same person do you think?

soundbites · 21/08/2006 17:12

come over to the Feb 2nd trimester thread - we have all moved there!
